I went to Afterthoughts for the first time when Cora’s became so busy, that I would have to wait an hour or more for a table. The Afterthoughts is a pretty good café to go to. This café has a good selection of coffee concoctions and desserts, including keto and gluten free alternatives. I ordered the Keto Strawberry Cheesecake it was creamy and tasty. I also had the Gluten-Free Pecan Tart that I found was more enjoyable. The cappuccino was very solid and found no problems with the drink. The establishment has a nice traditional aesthetic to it with mild lighting. Afterthoughts is a great place to have a caffeinated drink and snack. It would be great if this place had a menu for of full meals.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! He got the schnitzel oscar, I got the prawns Santorini. Initially there was some confusion about whether the prawns were still made gluten free or not, there is no denotation for GF for that item on the menu so that was on me for asking them to alter the dish. The fist time they made it the way they usually do now but then remade my dish using the flour less recipe they used to use. During the wait the owner and server were extremely accommodating, and the owner brought out 2 free shooters for us during the wait. The food was PHENOMENAL 💙💙💙 I have never had such good prawns in my life! And I'm greek/calabrian. We also had the bacon wrapped scallops to start, which were just as delicious, and several drinks. Good for gluten free people! I’ve been here a few times and the staff are kind and helpful. Priya is very sweet and helpful! I always know that they are taking care to make sure my food isn’t cross contaminated with gluten. They have gluten free tortillas that don’t fall apart! Definitely give it a try :)

I walked up and a delivery person opened the door for me, I was instantly politely greated inside and my pizza was ready quicker then I thought. I have a gluten allergy and the pizza tasted great and have no issues after eating it. KUDOS to the friendly staff and the great pizza. My family ALL enjoyed it.

I’ve been to this restaurant a couple of times and am always thrilled by the food. The shawarma and meat is so flavourful and moist, definitely one of the best shawarmas I’ve had in the Vancouver/Abbostford area. It is a family run business, and the owner is very kind and helpful. My husband is celiac and the owner double checked the ingredients of the fries to see if they were safe (unfortunately they were not gluten friendly) but he did love the shawarma on rice platter.

Amazing service! We called ahead, in a rush, and were reserved a table and put in our order. Super helpful on phone. 20mins later we arrived and food was hot and waiting for us. Was visited frequently at our table to check on drinks and food. Tropical chicken was delish, and the Hawaiian gluten free option was loaded and for gluten free the crust was fluffy and tasty and not cardboard. Excellent!

The quality of store made food is wonderful and the owner is very knowledgeable in many areas of health and food. Some of the products they bring in like the "Just Mayo" is marked up less than the store next door because his philosophy is to make healthy choices affordable. They have food for people with celiac disease as well as gluten free alternatives. Well worth a visit.

My only go-to place for gluten free pizza (it’s the best). Owner’s daughter has Celiac disease which I as well do so they have either made the best GF crust or order it in. I never have had any symptoms of cross contamination. My husband also enjoys pizza from here by either sharing mine or getting one a thin crust. We enjoy extra pizza sauce which they happily put extra on and tastes delicious!

The Food we got was really tasty, only complaint is they didn't have the apple slices on the kids menu, but didn't tell us until we had given our full order, our waitress went to kitchen and then came back. Also she mixed up our extras cups for our milkshakes. Which wouldn't have been a big deal except mine had cheesecake (Graham cracker crumbs) and my niece is gluten free. They remade her shake but never compensated our bill.... Oh well

I used to come here all the time, because they had the best butter chicken in town! This particular experience was the absolute WORST!!!! I called to place my order over the phone, as I used to always do…. it took me almost 15 minutes to try and explain what I wanted! So after talking to 2 or 3 different people I had to talk to a couple different people, I was FINALLY able to get my order communicated! (I kept getting different answers to my questions, and got really frustrated, because they didn't understand what I was saying. I had explained that I could NOT have gluten or sugar, and they said "no problem." I had ordered a butter chicken and got a gluten free roti with it for an dditional $0.99. When I was asked for my name over the phone, I said, "Charlotte, like Charlotte's Web." (Which I thought was obvious) "Can you spell that please?" she replied, so I spelled it out nice and slow for her..... When I was given my "receipt", which was just a note with what I ordered, it had my name on the bottom that read, "Charloppe". "What does that say?" I asked. And she said, "Oh she wrote your name down." The gluten free roti was hard as a rock, and didn't taste like roti AT ALL! Also, the butter chicken was unusually sweet. I had called back the restaurant to ask if there was any sugar in this dish, and she said no. So I asked what sweetener was used, and once again, had to talk to 2 different people, before the chef finally came to the phone. After pratically arguing with me that there was "no sugar", I asked him to read me the ingredients of the tomatoes and tomato paste they use; I had to repeat myself MULTIPLE times, before he finally read me the ingredients on BOTH. "Contains sugar," he said. Um..... if a customer tells you they CAN NOT have sugar, don't you think maybe you should know the ingredients before you make it? Thank God I'm not anaphalactic, or I'd be in the ER right now, and filing a lawsuit!!! I don't know if people are just getting lazier and more careless, or if they are truly that ignorant?! I did end up eating the [sweet] butter chicken I ordered, because it was my dinner. Unfortunately, I am getting quite ill! (Maybe from the sugar that I said I couldnt have? 🤷🏽‍♀️) I was also given a FORK to eat butter chicken. (Which was more like sauce with a few chicken pieces-can I please have some chicken with my sauce???) If you ate soup, would you use a fork for it? 🤔😡🙄 This place went from the best in town, to the worst! I'll order elsewhere from now on!!!
