I love the atmosphere and the staff is amazing, but the food is limited in terms of gluten-free options. I wish there were more healthy options for gluten-free. The brownie is too brownie box like.
Enjoy a cozy spot with a fantastic patio, serving delightful crepes and great coffee that'll keep you coming back for more.

We had the gluten free spinach pesto goat cheese crepe and the banana strawberry Nutella crepe, they were both delicious. The Americano hit the spot. I would highly recommend this cafe
With tasty pasta, generous portions, and a simple menu, this spot is a must-visit for a satisfying meal, though the vibe could be better.

El Pastaman lives up to its name. During our three-day stay in Montréal, we ate here the last two nights. My girlfriend suffers from coeliac disease, which is why we are always on the lookout for gluten-free options. El Pastaman offers gluten-free pasta. The pasta sauces are also gluten-free. I ate the "El Transparente" pasta with normal spaghetti. I have never eaten a better carbonara in my life. The sauce was perfectly balanced. The spaghetti was topped with crispy bacon, juicy pancetta, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh spring onions and sprinkled with parmesan. It was real soul food. The taste is 1A. My girlfriend also liked it. On the second evening, I tried the spaghetti bolognese (El Rosso). This was also delicious, but couldn't even begin to compete with the delicious carbonara. Our recommendation is therefore: try the carbonara. The restaurant itself offers plenty of seating. You can come by without a reservation, which we really liked. However, the ambience was not the nicest (fans were running, electronic music was playing in the seating area and pop music in the kitchen - very confusing). But we would still eat here again at any time.

Pros: Fried chicken is gluten free. Portions are decently large.
Cons: Chicken is only ok (definitely underseaoned). Price is high for the quality.
I personally didn't enjoy the vibe of the food hall, but I imagine many other people would.
Experience good vibes and generous portions in a lively ambiance, perfect for enjoying a variety of tasty options with friends.

Loved my experience here! The portion sizes are quite generous and the food is delicious, with a variety of vegan and gluten free options. However, the service was quite slow. I don't know if it was due to the volume of people in the restaurant or being understaffed but waited quite a while for our order to be taken.
All-day breakfast with a delicious twist and plenty of unique options, plus a vibe that keeps you coming back for more!

Service was great and always present. Waitress notice my wife was picking at her meal. The gluten free bread she had with her eggs was not good.
My roast beef sandwich was good but not great.
Food ok in balance service was great!

I am Celiac. They did a great job making accomodations for me. The food was very good. We were warned the food would be slow, but it was perfect timing to have a conversation and enjoy the terrasse.
With quick service and generous portions, this spot dazzles with a diverse menu that caters to all, leaving no room for dessert!

This place impressed our group. The food is amazingly delicious, service very is quick. Portions are big. After having a meal, was no room for the dessert. The complimentary beverage was so yummy as well as all the other beverages. Their menu is quite big and covers all options including vegan and gluten free which was great for one of us. Overall, big thank you!
If you go to Montreal don't forget to stop by the shopping center, there are restaurants, ice cream parlors, shops and much more to relax for a while or go shopping. Eggspectation is ideal for good food, a good atmosphere and some gluten-free dishes.
Starters shine with standout oysters and calamari, while some mains leave mixed impressions, all enjoyed in a cozy vibe.

Enjoyed the starters more than the mains. Portions were on the smaller side for me.
Hits 🔥
- Oysters
- Scallops were refreshing
- Calamari is really tasty (the sauce is heavenly)
Misses
- Risotto (Did not care for the granola-like garnishes & the sweet flavor. I think I was just craving a savory risotto.)
- Quail (Meat itself was good, but the sweet & sour sauce pairing didn’t add to the dish)
Service was attentive & knowledgeable about which dishes were gluten-free. We also had a nice bottle of natural wine.

When you take the trouble to insist 3 times rather than once to ensure that there is no gluten, that it is not an intolerance, it is an allergy, and you discover a salad Caesar with croutons while unpacking your order....

A quiet spot with nice music, offering helpful service and a tasty veggie bowl packed with fresh ingredients and a unique barley rice blend.

The store was empty when I came in so it was very quiet but they played some music which was nice! The staff was very helpful and friendly cause I asked them which bowls are gluten-free. The staff member made me aware of the barley rice mixture in the veggie bowl which the physical menu didn’t say… So, I was very lucky that he mentioned it! But I think the tofu wasn’t just coated in soy sauce and ginger… I think there was a dough around it… but you could just see it a little bit cause I assume that it wasn’t fresh just reheated… the rest of the bowl was good! There was fresh lettuce, rice, avocado, pickled ginger, some carrot and wakame in it. So all in all a good combo☺️
