Great coeliac options on the menu and food was lovely but slightly overpriced.
The music is way too loud, we felt like we were at a gay nightclub!! Also way too brightly lit for evening service, not very relaxing at all.
Some of the team were super lovely but our waiter didn't really look as though they wanted to be there, either new or couldn't be bothered which spoiled the meal a little.
I feel like some of the team need better training in order to offer a better experience

Wonderful wagu burger and fries! They were very accommodating and got me a gluten-free bun to have with my burger!

Managed a nut allergy and coeliac really well. It’s often a nightmare eating out! I thanked the waiter and he said “I don’t have an allergy but if I did, this is how I would like to have been treated.”
Food was delicious. Glad to have this option in Derry. Thank you
Excellent service, absolutely smashing staff (especially Denise who always remembers I'm a coeliac and has gluten free gravy for me, or gluten free toast if I'm having a brekkie. They always have an amazing selection of food, brekkie, cake, ice cream, salad, sandwiches and baked potato. It's super reasonably priced, the coffee is lush too! Did I mention they sometimes have gluten free cake in?? They remember their returning customers, bring your food to you and make every visit feel special. Definitely feel like a valued customer and highly recommend for any time of the day!
Expect a modern vibe with vibrant interiors, a welcoming atmosphere, and a focus on fresh, well-prepared dishes for everyone.

Browns is definitely a higher class restaurant. Fresher, perfectly cooked food, and for me, being coeliac, an absolute pleasure to eat in. Instead of me constantly having to clarify if what I am getting is gluten-free, the staff brought each dish and stipulated which was the gluten free... no nonsense, no messing about, and I could enjoy my meal confidently. I will DEFINITELY be back
Chic and modern with beautiful decor, this place offers a relaxed vibe, though the service can be hit or miss, especially on weekends.

Modern, chic but underwhelming. As a 1st timer visiting, I was surprised how easy going staff were. The restaurant is decorated absolutely beautifully, relaxed but chic & modern. We entered & stood wandering at the entrance/bar waiting for someone to greet us. Staff at the bar made no eye contact. A young female server walked past & slapped her friend off duty on the back & began chatting, to which my husband said excuse me can we have a seat? She led us to the back of the restaurant beside a table of 8 patrons who were very loud & there were other 2 seater tables away from this area so I was surprised.
I called in advance asking what gluten free options were available & the girl advised they could make any course gluten free & even had gluten free batter. She confirmed all sauces were gluten free.
When we sat down I asked ‘so everything can be made gluten free?’ - the woman said, ‘uh not really but what is it you want?’
I suggested the carbonara & the server said she’d ask the chef. The woman came back & said as I’m gluten intolerant I couldn’t eat any of the pasta dishes, or battered fish dishes or battered chicken. I was taken back, due to the conflicting info on the phone earlier.
I ordered plain chicken & chips due to the fear of being contaminated with gluten as I’m severely intolerant & rarely eat out in the hospitality industry but this was our anniversary date so wanted to try at least.
The food was actually delicious & we were happy with our drinks & the ambience & the food was reasonably priced.
I would visit again but not on the weekend as it seemed staff were fed up & had little to no energy.

Had the best experience here yesterday. A lovely girl greeted us and after I explained my dietary needs she put me at ease and reassured me they could more than cater for my needs.
Food was absolutely amazing!
Anyone who is Coeliac and like me dairy intolerant too make this your first stop to eat you won't be disappointed!

Been here a few times for coffee and always find the team really friendly, efficient and professional with good quality coffee!
The wee shortbread that they give you with your drink is both delicious and a nice touch … although the first time I had coffee, I thought it was a sugar lump on the top for me to add to the coffee so I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a nice piece of shortbread!!
I picked up a few of their baked goods this time when I was there and they were exceptionally good quality a delicious peanut butter cookie, A gluten-free brownie, Bakewell tart and a delicious caramel cheesecake slice!! 10/10!!
Whilst I was there to collect my take away I did see some of the sandwiches that they were serving and they look excellent so I’ll definitely be back to try one of those!
Highly recommended!
Had a lovely stop at Patricia's today and was really pleasantly surprised at the variety of gluten free cake options. Really friendly staff ,lovely restroom and seating outside what more could you ask for. Will definitely be back.

Caffè Nero is a comfortable chain offering an array of coffees and bakery goods. There are even a few packaged goods that are gluten-friendly.
This location is nestled into the entrance of a large retail center, so it's quite a buzzing place. There are options for plugging in and working on a laptop, but the consistent queues can be a bit distracting!
Fantastic food, great service, cannot fault this place. Loved it all. Very aware of gluten free needs. Served beautiful gluten free fresh bread, fantastic service, made us feel very comfortable.

I don’t write reviews often, but felt I needed to share. I am coeliac and struggle with coffee bars such as Nero or Costa for any food (that isn’t a dry biscuit). I thought this coffee bar (in Derry) would be the same, however the staff informed me that they could make me any sandwich or toastie as they had gluten free bread. I went for a toastie. Usually I’m a bit apprehensive on toasties as most gluten free toasties fall apart due to the bread and can be quite dry. This was one of the best toasties I have had. It was delicious and I will definitely be back here again! Coffee was 10/10 also. Thank you.

Tasty reasonably priced food. Great and friendly service. So many options for coeliacs/gluten free! Everything can be done gluten free including the pancakes. Brownies, cookies and cinnamon buns all gluten free, so happy I found this place!

Visited Derry with my sister and decided to have brunch in foyleside shopping centre. We called into Synge & Byrne and informed the member of staff that my sister needed gluten free food as she is severely celiac. She informed the supervisor (Becca?) who went out of her way to ensure the food was 100% safe. All the staff provided great 🐕🦺 and the food was excellent. We went back the next day for breakfast. Would recommend highly.
