I found this restaurant on the ‘find me GF app’ and wow, the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. We were served by a lovely blonde lady who was so lovely and really reassuring asking if I was coeliac when ordering. I highly recommend the West House & look forward to returning in the future :)

Have been in twice now and the food/staff have been great. Both times the service has been slow, but they apologised both times. Not sure exactly what the reason was, but hopefully something they can improve on. Other than that, decent food, plenty of options for coeliacs too, which is nice. I'd advise booking in advance (easily done on their website) as it can get quite busy.

Rates the atmosphere based on service and food quality, this place is great and has gluten free options for the wife who is coeliac, the servers are always friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable for the quality.

Fantastic visit as usual. The team are very welcoming and always willing to have a chat. I am Lactose Intolerant and my friend suffers from Celiac. The crew at ‘the elm’ were very accommodating and ensured our needs were met. The meal was prepped to a fantastic standard and a high quality. (We highly recommend the Hunters Chicken, without the cheese if you are lactose). Big thanks to Charlie, Liam & Erin for being such accommodating and friendly hosts for the evening.

We came in, absolutely starving and struggling to find anywhere gluten free as we are new to the city. The staff were amazing, lovely and friendly, and really knowledgeable on coeliac disease. Pretty much the whole menu is or can be made gluten free. The food tasted gorgeous.

This coffee shop was delightful, with friendly and attentive staff. The highlight for me was their extensive gluten-free menu, which provided plenty of options. I will definitely be returning for another visit as the food was also delicious.

So first off the staff were Amazing 👏 hats off to you 👏 we have people eating with us who couldn't have gluten and we were taken care of perfectly 😃. Food was amazing maybe my dish could of been spiced a tad more but not complaining. Probably best to book in advance as we were almost turned away but we did arrive when doors opened and they managed to squeeze us in. Will definitely come back when we are in Dundee again.

Hands down the best steak burger I've had in a long time, tasty and succulent. Beautiful restaurant in a great location within the wonderful city of Dundee. Friendly staff and service. I highly recommend Porters for a burger or a steak , we were highly delighted. My wife is gluten-free and they took care of that without any problems . Well done to the staff and all involved .

Very disappointed in the poor allergen information. Previously had a separate no gluten menu, and easy to follow info. We chose here due to good experiences with this in the past. Now there is only a folder of printed allergen information, which is almost impossible to follow, seems incomplete, and I still didn't get the cheesecake I ordered, as it apparently contained gluten despite it being marked as ok in the folder. I chose banoffee cheesecake -if I had known it would be forest fruit cheesecake I would have gone for ice-cream instead (though it was still good) The staff in Dundee were lovely, were clearly very allergy aware, and I decided to trust them (and no symptoms so far, which means my faith was well placed). Chefs and waiters were great, but clearly hampered by central management not giving them the right menus/ inserts for allergen folder. There is no meaningful allergen information that I can find online. The folder was paper printouts, which seemed to be for multiple menus, but no clear headings to help me find the right one. (Contained a number of different bits for daytime /evening specials/breakfast/kids/Christmas/valentine's, but I couldn't figure out which matched the main menu we were given with prices and descriptions of dishes). Some dishes on menu didn't seem to appear in the allergen folder at all. Others had contradictory info in different places (e.g. double stack burger with gluten free bun was gluten free, but elsewhere double stack burger without bun contained gluten?? 🤔)

This was out first visit. The service was great. The food was all lovely except for the burger my daughter had. The burger sauce was spicy and the burger was quite dry so she didn't eat it. She did love the garlic dough balls and the churros. Eveything on the menu tells you if a gluten free alternative is available which was great for my husband. It is dog friendly is well which is why we chose it. We had our little dog with us who happily sat in the corner.

staff are lovely here and the food is great, they are also very accommodating for allergens and gluten free here. I always pop in for a coffee which is very well priced. The gallery concept is great and i always enjoy seeing work from new artists. The best little restaurant in Dundee keep doing you gallery 48!!

Popped in for lunch yesterday, it was lovely. My daughter is celiac and was delighted with her burger. One of the best she has tasted. Staff were fully aware and appreciative of gluten free requirements. They have a separate area in their kitchen for preparing gluten free. Would definitely recommend 👌.

I recently visited this place for the first time with a group of friends, and we had an amazing experience. It’s a fantastic spot, especially if you’re looking for fun without needing to drink. The selection of games is impressive—almost overwhelming—with something for everyone. The large tables were perfect for our group of seven, allowing us all to sit together comfortably. The coffee is among the best in Dundee, and the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, taking the time to explain everything to us. The prices for food and drinks were very reasonable, especially compared to other cafés, which meant we could relax and stay longer without feeling like we were overspending. The menu was a standout feature too, offering gluten-free and vegan options, which meant everyone in our group could find something to enjoy. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone—families, groups of friends, or even solo visitors. I only wish we’d discovered it sooner! We’ll definitely be back, and I’m already planning to bring my family for a game day or enjoy an evening here with my partner for a fun date that doesn’t involve wine. Places like this are a breath of fresh air and should be opening up all over Scotland. It’s such a wonderful addition to the community, and I honestly can’t praise it enough! 👏👏👏

I attended a function here last night and was blown away by the standard of the food. I am a Coeliac and was very well catered for indeed. The atmosphere was great and the staff were very attentive. Fabulous food, fabulous staff and a fabulous view over the Tay - what more could you wish for!

Phoned venue several hours prior to arrival and was told they could happily accommodate a large party however left a large proportion of our group without food. Served a meal containing gluten to a customer with a severe gluten allergy. When issues were raised with the manager, we were blamed for booking with a large group and putting too much pressure on the kitchen. Blocked me on Facebook for leaving a negative review. Manager took zero responsibility for their errors and offered no genuine apology.
