The food and the overall restaurant is 5 Stars! I think we would have enjoyed ALOT more if we weren't in the middle of a heat wave here in LA because the seating is all outside and it got hot really quickly..but any other time this would be a great option for lunch! We came for brunch and the breakfast options DID NOT disappoint! I got the spinach and feta omelet, and it was so good! Everything is pretty much priced close to $20 a plate, but the food is worth it, and the portions are generous. I saw a lot of people getting the breakfast burrito, so it must be one of the more popular menu items. There's alot of parking behind the building. Also many gluten free options.
Known for exceptional pesto breadsticks and an impressive range of toppings, this spot delivers quality and value that keeps people coming back!

Incredibly good pesto breadsticks, I was tasting the garlic four hours afterwards! Love garlic to keep my immune system up in the winter, it’s been super cold and rainy this year, which I was not expecting, having moved to Southern California just a few years back. My daughter usually hates garlic or onions, but she absolutely loves the stuff too, as well as the gluten-free pizza. It was a little bit on the chewy side, I think they just use white rice flour, but it was possible for a gluten-free offering. taste is on point however, across-the-board. Much higher quality than I was expecting for the price! We will be back.
Had a wonderful expirience! my pad kee Mao was wonderfully and my wife's gluten free pad thai was perfect. Very knowledgeable about gluten-free requirements.
A health-conscious paradise with a menu full of tasty and nutritious options that'll have you dreaming of your next visit for more!

For the health-conscious, Star Leaf is a dream come true. Their menu features a variety of gluten-free, vegan, and paleo options that are as tasty as they are nutritious. It’s rare to find a place that makes healthy eating so indulgent.
Great service, I love the new pay at the table feature. They do not print out a receipt unless requested which helps reduce waste. Food is delicious, gluten free pizza is amazing!
Their burgers are just so delightful. I love their cheese burger and it’s truly so classic! (But you can tweak it if you want to!) Every element of the burger is just on point! The brioche bun, juicy hearty patty, fresh veggies, and their fries..... everything is just so scrumptious! They also have a variety of options if you want to go veg only, I think vegan also, and gluten free as well. They have plenty of outdoor seating with the view of historic Pasadena Playhouse. Service is great as well :) We just keep going back to this place because their burgers are addicting and unforgettable.
With an amazing coconut flour tortilla that feels like a freshly made flour one, the breakfast burritos are flavorful but a bit on the smaller side.

Only reason for the 4 stars is because $23 for a gluten free breakfast burrito is really not worth it..I've been wanting to try forever, and decided today's the day. Now don't get me wrong , the taste is immaculate, and to be able to go somewhere and get a gluten free burrito is amazing. Maybe for the price if it were bigger maybe would be ok .The burrito is tiny , and I don't even eat alot
The Pizza Plant offers some of the best pizza in California. If you’re considering the gluten-free option but are worried about receiving yet another thin cardboard like crust, fret not; the pizza plant had figured out a way to make beautifully soft and chewy crust which happens to be gluten-free.
Great customer service however, I was expecting to be able to sample the food ahead of ordering it. Also, the place is packed with smaller tables and many visitors. I believe there are more visitors than seating. It is great to find a place that is conscious of the food they serve with a variety of vegan and gluten free options, however, why do they serve fried chicken? I came here to follow pursuit of my nearby Urban Plate and Lemonade. I always wonder if these places are using organic foods or not? They have a few plugs and wifi, (which is a must for me) but more plugs would be helpful as you cannot always sit where one is accessible. I work mobile so I would spend hours in this place. Great place overall.
"Welcome home!"
"What? Oh. Oh, I get it. That's kinda weird."
My first thought, upon being greeted by the staff at HBB. And certainly not the last time I thought that, as my friend and I hung out for a bit, seeing other people come and go, being seen off with, "come home again!"
Strange, no matter how many times I heard it, but that bubbly, exuberant behavior was demonstrative of one of the awesome things about HBB: the staff here is REALLY, REALLY nice. And genuinely so! It's not often that I call out service, but it's also not every day that I just hang out for half an hour chatting with staff, especially when I really need to run.
"But what about the drinks?!," you ask! "Fantastic!," I say! While I only tried a bit of my friend's almond "milk" tea with boba, I can say that it was probably one of the best-cooked boba I've had in recent recollection - granted, I haven't ordered boba in a while, so... as for the tea itself, if you've ever tried almond tofu dessert, you'll know exactly what it tasted like.
I myself ordered one of their chocolate iced signature coffees, which was equally fabulous, and also insanely strong: so much so that my body actually was not too happy about the caffeine intake, but that's an unrelated matter. The drink itself was great, and very similar to a cold chocolate milk.
Both drinks fell a little on the sweeter side, but not unbearably so. And, a key point is that they don't use real milk: their whole thing is dairy, gluten free, so their "milk" is actually made out of palm seed, I believe, and sweetened with raw and brown sugar. Worth a try!

Venue - Seating is a bit limited, with a single regular height long table. All the others were bar counter height, which is fine for holding your drinks, but not ideal if you're there to do some work (they have outlets), or chatting with someone who isn't eye level.
Bathroom - Didn't check them out.
