A historic tavern famous for its long history, operational saloon bar, and relationship to the TV series Northern Exposure. Referred by a local as having good food that is reasonably priced. The Brick Burger is massive. Starting with a flavorful patty piled high with jalapenos, provolone, bacon, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles enveloped inside a gluten free bun. The rosemary fries were amazing – crispy, not greasy with just the right amount of rosemary. Service was attentive and friendly. The only things to note are that there is no AC and watch your step when entering/exiting the building. Free and paid street parking available.

We love Village pizza! My husband has a gluten allergy and is able to order gluten free crust here. He said today that he feels like he has missed out on having this pizza for several years because he didn't know they offered a gluten free crust. Now he knows and we will continue to go back.

Normally, I love this place, but every once in awhile, they fall short, and last night was the worst! My kids had planned such a special day for me and we were excited to top it off with supper at one of our favorite restaurants. We had reservations for 6:15, and we told them we would need two high chairs. We get there, and they have a big party going on on the porch and there are a couple other large parties in the main area. We were 8 adults and two one year olds. No high chairs available! First of the disappointments of the evening. If you can’t handle the groups, then you need to make that known up front! Then it took over a half hour to take just our drink order! By 7:00 pm, one of the young mothers had to leave to put her little guy to bed. The they still hadn’t taken our food order! We should have all left! Paid for our drinks and just gone home, but no, we were hungry and we didn’t think it would be much longer. Wrong! They finally take our food order, meanwhile, our water is out, we have gotten no attention, we have to ask them to bring us water. People are getting hangry, but we keep thinking our food will be here any time. It was after 8:00 pm when we finally got our food! On top of all that, my husband and I both got the gluten free pasta with scallops, something we both got times before and loved. Well this night, my pasta was not cooked all the way and it just wasn’t that great! They still have not checked on us with water or to ask if we want any more drinks! Once again we have to go and ask them to bring us water. Then we had to chase them down for our check, we had to chase them down for the to go containers. When you have a group the size of ours, they automatically add the tip. They did NOT deserve one. We should have called them out on it and had them remove it. The least they could have done was given us our drinks on the house, apologized for the wait, been grateful we waited it out. When you spend over $500 for a meal, there should be something. Needless to say, it will be a VERY long time before we go back, if we ever! It’s too bad, because like I said, it had been one of our favorite places. But the way we were treated was unacceptable. Especially since we are locals and frequent the place! It’s too bad. If you go in and they are really busy, turn around and go somewhere else, because you won’t get good service and the food will be rushed and subpar, and you will have to wait a very long time. Not the first time we’ve had to wait a long time, but this was definitely the worst!
