Spot on service and food as always, have been numerous times and every time it's been great! I've never had a bad meal here or even mediocre to be fair, you're guaranteed an excellent meal if you stop in by. I would definitely recommend booking a table to avoid missing out as it's always busy. My partner is coeliac and they can cater for her with suitable gluten free meals as well.
With a charming atmosphere and an ever-changing seasonal menu, this spot promises an exceptional dining experience every time.

Dining at Hearth is a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and restaurant charming. Amazing food EVERY TIME and fantastic service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations (especially with my gluten intolerance!). Chef is clearly on top of his game with an ever changing, and always impressive, seasonal menu.
A bold claim, but for me the best food experience I’ve had in Scotland… we’ve booked our next visit already 😉
A charming spot by the beach with both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a special menu for furry friends and plenty of dietary options.

First time here. Would most definitely go back. Set menu with changing specials and soups of the day. But the menu remains set, I went for the Moroccan spiced halloumi burger it was delicious would highly recommend. They do have a very good menu system which give you gluten, crustaceans, veg, vegan numbers and have whatever numbers at each item to advise you of your best choice for any diet. Fantastic vegetarian option as well as usual fish and chips, Angus burgers, pizzas, soups, salads, buffalo chips etc fantastic set up and setting you seat yourself remember your table number and go in and order at the bar.. the only downside is 1 ladies toilet, 1 men's toilet, no disabled toilet. And there literally is 1 toilet per male / female saying that unsure if the males also had a urinal as I'm female and didn't go in this bathroom.. otherwise great staff menus weren't the most obvious as you collect your own a table opposite me actually gave me one of theirs and they shared their one. VERY busy with dogs so it's very very dog friendly and they have water bowls for them. Excellent wee place. Dine in or sit out on picnic tables
I was expecting from a lot from The Bakehouse since the reviews were so good but please note that it is no longer a café although there are a couple of broken down picnic type tables outside where one can drink a takeaway coffee and eat a slice of frittata or a cake bought inside. The outside really needs a bit if a face-lift with new planting in the pots and less planting in the gutters.
The Bakehouse is now a delicatessen, bread store and vegetable shop. The staff are really lovely. The gluten free bread looked rather anaemic and was very heavy so we didn't buy any but the other bread looked excellent.

Incredible pizza dough that stands out, topped with a generous helping of fresh mozzarella; a must-try for any pizza lover!

I am not joking when I say that this is the best pizza dough I have ever come across, in my 31 years of pizza eating. I had the margarita and you basically get a whole ball of fresh mozzarella on it and it's bloody glorious. Smiling friendly staff, fresh and tasty. Could not fault it. Can't wait for my next visit!!
Oh and my partner had the gluten free base and it was packed with flavour as a thin and crispy base, really impressed!
Expect a cozy vibe with a great selection of drinks and a chill atmosphere that's perfect for a casual visit.

I hate to leave a bad review because the staff and atmosphere were lovely, but the gluten free/dairy free options were lacking. I had the aubergine and fish cakes, aubergine had no flavour and fish cakes were like rubber. My partner however does not have allergies so had the chowder with squid and he said it was delicious. Again, I hate to write a bad review, but want to be honest for those visiting with dietary restrictions.
