A very warm welcome from the team and great service throughout from the manager and our table server. We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday and we all had a great time. The food was great: nutritious as well as tasty. Personally, I was delighted with the way my need for a gluten free diet was managed. I suffer from coeliac disease. There was a completely separate menu, which I found both useful and reassuring. And a huge choice of dishes available as gluten free. The manager served my food separately. Altogether a great experience. NB - some mention here about the service charge being added to the bill. It was made quite clear that this was not an obligatory charge and we were given the clear option to not pay this if we wished. I saw this as a simple personal choice and it certainly didn’t detract in any way from the great experience we all had here today.

Lovely lunch of gluten free toasties today. Came with salad, coleslaw and crisps. Dogs welcome. Knocked one star off as we wanted a gluten free cake but they were next to gluten containing cakes with no covers on to prevent contamination. They were in a separate area for cakes for those with dietary needs but I couldn't see that the utensils used for gluten free weren't also used for the other cakes in that section, some of which did contain gluten.

The gluten free pizza is absolutely disgusting 😞 The first time I ordered it was horrible and I thought it might have just been a bad day but this is the second time and it's just as awful as the first. They shouldn't offer gluten free options if they can't deliver the same quality, especially for these ridiculous prices! I paid over 20 quid for this small pile of gunk. I could have had a full steak meal for that! I threw this in the bin. Very disappointed and will never eat at Pizza Express ever again.

Always a little worried about trying a new place being Coeliac so phoned ahead for info. The lady with the blue hair knew what a Coeliac was which instantly put me at ease. She even checked the bbq sauce for me. I had a bbq pulled pork burger with a gluten free bun. It was huge! The tastiest burger I have ever had and now a firm favourite over five guys! Such a fantastic restaurant with heaps of gluten-free options! I've eaten in and taken away, the food is always great. You can get a discount for collection, so it's actually quite affordable too. Most of their mains are gluten free, but if you have strict dietary requirements DEFINITELY mention it to the staff as sometimes the ingredients have changed and they haven't had chance to update the menu/website. I have Coeliac disease so can't have any gluten, and the staff have always been so understanding and knowledgeable about any ingredients. When I order to collect, I put it in the 'additional notes' section, and last time they rang to say one of the starters I'd ordered was now made with a different coating which may contain gluten, so they swapped it without issue. I can't emphasise enough how great it is to have allergies taken seriously. Oh also their butter paneer masala is incredible.

The Nepalese menu seemed to combine well known “Indian” dishes with special regional choices. My dahl was wonderful, I probably chose badly with the royal kebabs. My bad. But, the food was tasty and well prepared. I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu. Gluten free food was clearly marked, as was the level of spicyness.
