Not sure what happened between last year and this year (2025) but there are only 3 types of Gluten Free donuts now compared to 6 in previous years. The Apple Fritter I bought was raw on the inside. Need to drive back for a refund. The cashier didn't even seem concerned but offered a replacement, I just asked for a refund with was no problem.
A vibrant spot known for its unique mocktails and bowls, where quality and atmosphere keep customers raving, despite the wait!

Mex-Hawaii performed at its best. Nothing is missing here. Quality of the food, drinks, homemade products, top service and the right atmosphere. This store more than lives up to the many good reviews. Definitely a big recommendation if you're anywhere near the area. Gluten free also available. Authentic and real.

Such a diverse menu to meet children’s needs to gluten free to fajitas to steak to ribs . The kids loved being able to go down to the lake while we waited and play inside by the pool table. The staff was so attentive! We enjoyed the large mule to share

The patties tasted like the smart and final patties you can find in the frozen section. Same with the frozen fries. Gluten buns were dry. Highly don't recommend this place. It looks cool but the food sucks. Totally not worth sending over $40 for 2 burgers and 2 fries. If it was delicious I wouldn't care to spend that much.

If you're strolling through the Village in Big Bear Lake and craving something warm, flavorful, and a little spicy, Royal Thai Bistro is a gem worth checking out. Tucked into the heart of the town, this cozy Thai restaurant offers a satisfying mix of authentic flavors, generous portions, and friendly service.
I visited on a chilly evening, and the vibe inside was welcoming — low lighting, simple decor, and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was attentive from the start, happy to answer questions about the menu and accommodate dietary preferences (they have plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options).
I started with the Crispy chicken rolls, which was tangy and aromatic, though I did wish it had a bit more punch from the lemongrass. For the main course, the Fried pork rice was excellent — perfectly spiced, served with fluffy rice. The Pad Thai was solid as well: sweet, savory, and loaded with tender chicken and fresh bean sprouts. A table near us ordered the Drunken Noodles, and based on their enthusiasm, I’ll definitely try those next time.
One thing to note: while most of the dishes hit the mark, there were a few inconsistencies. A friend mentioned their curry wasn’t as flavorful on a previous visit, so it might depend on who's in the kitchen. But overall, the experience felt thoughtful and genuine.
Prices are reasonable for a resort town, and the portions are generous enough to share or take home for leftovers. Plus, the location is perfect for a relaxing lunch or dinner after a day of hiking, skiing, or browsing the local shops.
A cozy spot perfect for winter vibes with strong hot drinks and a great atmosphere that'll keep you coming back every time you're in town.

We came to visit on NYE and our party was served by Arturo who was incredible. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and able to give recommendations based on gluten sensitivity. We loved the food and drinks, and the hot mixed drinks were strong and lovely on a really cold night in Big Bear. We plan to make a stop here every time we’re in town!
Known for its fantastic French toast and great service, this spot is a hit for families looking for a satisfying brunch experience.

They offer gluten free bread if you ask! Which was so appreciated. We took a group of 7 here and the service and food was spectacular. Would highly recommend

Hostess amazing and responsive and kind, there was a long wait for main dining but ended up in the bar area where we found a space for two. Warm and cozy vibes.
No gluten or dairy substitutes for allergies, but ended up doing a steak and veggies.
Our server was extremely rude and made us feel unwelcome.
We ended up only getting one drink and half our food boxed up and headed home, otherwise we would've spent so much more time and money(and probably would've visited there more days )
Service- we asked to order tater tots just plain with the filet and veggies (we didn't want it substituted for a side) she just said no.
We asked for the steak to be cut, she said no.
We asked for any allergy substitutes she said no.
She checked in on us after receiving food and said our meals look good and asked if we need anything else.
When we asked just to have our items packed up she just brought us two boxes, not even a bag or asked if she could do it for us,
A great place to come and watch a game. Shane, the bartender, really elevated our experience. He made us feel super welcome and managed a food allergy with ease. (He also makes a lovely Manhattan.) They have Beyond Burgers for vegetarians and gluten free buns that taste great. Definitely would come back when we’re up the mountain again.
This spot boasts a unique vibe with creative decor, standout menu items, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for a memorable meal.

I haven't had a bad experience here. I love it here! They have absolutely amazing food and the wait staff never disappoints. I believe it's the only place here to have gluten free burgers, and that's easily worth the price tag to me.
It's a bit on the pricier side, but it's so worth it
Expect mouthwatering cupcakes and stunning custom cakes that are both artistic and delicious, but remember to order ahead for special requests!

I was really looking forward to dining here because I read that this restaurant offers gluten-free accommodations. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the food or drinks because we never even got the chance to order. Despite being seated and given menus, we were completely ignored by multiple servers for over 20 minutes at the bar. One even made eye contact but walked away before we could say anything. After waiting with no service, we finally gave up and left. Extremely disappointing experience.
This place is busy! I love the fact they have vegetarian & gluten free options which is key for me since I'm gluten free & vegetarian.
I love the tea selection and the fact they offer oat & almond milk for hot cocoa😁
The staff is super kind, patient, & efficient. If they make a mistake they correct it immediately 😇
Next time we come 2 Big Bear Lake wewill definitely come back.❤

Casual walk-up counter ordering, lines of picnic tables on the patio, and a menu with the basics plus vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. A great easy lunch after a hike.
Enter the Elk's parking lot and drive to the back. Look for the sign on the fence pointing towards the walkway to the patio.
Rude employees. Bacon was bad and made me sick. Stay away. The Jersey Mikes in San Diego know about gluten allergies and go out of the way to make you feel safe. Last time we were up here this location was like that. This time it was horrible.
We almost didn't eat here, because the prices on the menus were a little bit scary. $20 kids meals? After we got over the sticker shock, we decided to give it a try, because the location was fabulous. Our server was attentive even if he was a little bit hurried in his interactions with us. However, once the food started to arrive, all of these minor concerns went away. I ordered French onion soup and a fish sandwich. Both were among the best I've ever had in my life. My wife had a BLT. It was cheaper to have my two children to share an adult entrée than to order off the kids menu, so they shared the gluten-free pasta with vegetables. My mom also ordered a BLT, and my dad had the grilled chicken sandwich. Everyone was raving about the quality of the food. The portions were Harty, which is rare for a fine dining establishment. The Brad service was mouthwatering, and we had several refills. We all left full and happy. If you're looking for an awesome place to have a meal with your family on the lake, you have found it!
Expect a bustling vibe with oversized pancakes and a cozy open kitchen, making it a fun spot worth the wait.

Worth stopping in at least once for the experience. The pancakes are huge, bigger than plate. A very busy spot, expect to wait 15-30 minutes. It's a smaller done making the most of their space; open kitchen set- up. Quick service once you are seated. The food is good and several choices of pancakes to include gluten-free. Everyone at our table enjoyed the plates ordered.
