Leland Tea is a gem in Burlingame CA! The tea is amazing and Will, the owner, even makes me gluten free food upon request. He is very knowledgeable in making healthy sweet treats. My recommendations for tea are:
Black Tea: Black Orchid & Breakfast at Tiffany's
Green Tea: Billie Holiday & Jasmine Pearl
White Tea: Coco Blanc & Garbo's Peachy Blend
Herbal Tea: Body & Soul, Chamomile & Mint
You can have your tea hot or iced, both very delicious!
Leland has wonderful outside seating and bar seating inside. I love coming here for a pot of tea while getting work done. The ambiance can either be as productive as you wish or laid back.
Enjoy a contemporary vibe with warm service and bright, open seating where tasty cocktails and fresh dishes create a delightful atmosphere.

Arriving early with an elderly was optimal for ease of drop off, and the person was able to easily navigate to the table, as well as hear conversation at a normal level. The owner, name Okay, was soooooo lovely, welcoming, caring and friendly. He chatted with the elder while the cat was parked. Such respect for the elderly, it was refreshing. The food was so fresh and satisfying. The burrata starter was great and they accommodated gluten free by keeping the focaccia on a separate plate. The brussel sprouts were very lackluster and need a complete reworking. A family member loved their perfect, golden garlic bread. The short ribs were wonderful as were the gnocchi in pesto cream. The capellini with chicken was enjoyed by the elder member and was reported to be perfect. The chicken with that dish was perfectly cooked and was like butter. The salmon with fresh jicama and orange segments was so fresh and delicious. We all look forward to visiting again. Sadly, Burlingame is putting up huge buildings so the lovely open sky feel of the town is dying. Parking is easy despite the ugly look of the construction on the street with an outdoor lot on the back alley and has metered parking. Desserts were very nice. The mousse was done perfectly but was just too too sweet. After such healing, healthy food it would be nice to have a barely sweet dessert. The profiteroles were reported to be delicious with gelato inside by a family member. The servers were darling, smiley, fun and friendly. The place is contemporary and the open, sliding glass windows made inside dining just like outside. Plenty of seats outside as well. The prosecco was adequate and a nice touch with salmon on a warm, sunny Easter afternoon.
Upscale Indian restaurant in Burlingame. Plenty of paid parking available in front and around the restaurant. Service was friendly and efficient, food was good. Plenty of gluten free options available.
One of the best dinners I had in 2021. The gluten free pasta was shockingly delicious for being gluten free and the wine was delightful. Cannot wait to go back

I was in town for work and had a rare night off and decided to treat myself to the chefs table tasting menu. Ignore all the ignoramus comments about portions and timings, they clearly don't understand how this sort of thing works. Yes, the portions were smaller and the pace slower but that's the whole point. I enjoyed 5/7 of the courses and it was all so flavorful and wonderful. Sitting up at the bar was like watching a calm version of Top Chef. Yes I would have swapped out or moved a few courses around, but overall I'm so glad I did the tasting menu because it forced me to try dishes I wouldn't have picked on my own. They catered beautifully to my celiac disease and I got to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. The restaurant is in an old converted fire station and is so sumptuous, almost feels like old Hollywood. If you're in town, I highly recommend giving this place a try, you won't be disappointed.
A new spot with innovative flavors, boasting a unique mochi crust pizza that perfectly balances crunch and chewiness.

Great new shop with innovative flavors! Even their cheese pizza packs a punch with hints of garlic. As someone who has been trying out gluten free pizzas for well over 10 years, this Mochi pizza has that wonderful chew that is often lacking in the more cardboard/cracker style of other GF pizzas.
Breakfast is not the best in the area, but the gluten-free options are de-li-cious !! Try Sarah Bernhardt if you can't eat gluten. If not, try it too! Chocolate mousse, wrapped in a chocolate shell, with a fine chocolate decoration. Irresistible.
Innovative flavors and puppy treats make this spot a perfect summer treat destination for both you and your furry friends.

I really love this brand and their innovative flavors! They always have some gluten free options and I really enjoyed the honey lavender last time. My furry friends love their puppy frozen treats too! I really recommend this place if you want to treat yourself. Bringing pints home is the best way in the summer.
We love the interior and exterior decor and the wonderful service here. The outdoor dining was superb and very safe. They brought the table utensils in saran wrap. We ordered the Tom Yum soup which was absolutely delicious. And we ordered the basil tofu vegetable dish as well as a drunken noodle dish. Both of them were gluten-free and very delicious, albeit a bit too sugary. Next time we will ask for both gluten-free and for them to use less sugar. Otherwise, a perfect place to have dinner.
Gluten free soy sauce! Good food and good prices for the area. I went to another place, two blocks from here, and the prices are way more expensive than here. Warm, cozy and traditional Japanese food.
Perfect spot for events with amazing baked goods that leave guests wanting more; the service is exceptional and the treats are a definite crowd-pleaser!

✨ Event Success Thanks to Busy Lizzy’s! ✨
A huge thank you to Lizzy and her incredible team for saving the day! As an event coordinator, I found myself in a tough spot when another vendor canceled last minute. I reached out to Busy Lizzy’s, and Lizzy went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience—even on such short notice.
🌟 5-star service from start to finish! 🌟
The pastries were a huge hit with our 100+ attendees—so much so that many requested we order from Busy Lizzy’s again! We enjoyed:
🍪 Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
🎉 Celebration Cake Cookies
🌿 Gluten-Free Almond Meal Cookies
🥜 Date Granola Bars
Each treat was absolutely delicious, making it impossible to pick a favorite! If you're looking for exceptional baked goods for yourself or an event, I highly recommend Busy Lizzy’s!
This place is easily one of the best restaurants in the peninsula. Eating vegan and gluten free is really easy here. The food is exceptional, which is probably why it gets the Michelin recommendation every year. Always packed, we mostly order take out from here, and the quality is equal to eating in the restaurant, which is rare.
We hosted a private event here in their mezzanine, the staff and food were wonderful. Appreciated the attention to detail for accommodating gluten / celiac allergy requests.
I recently moved down to Burlingame from San Francisco. I am vegan and gluten free, so I cook nearly every day and I really depend on the availability of certain items (i.e. vegan cheeses, gluten free fake meats, Amy's organic frozen entrées, and a good variety of organic produce). This is the only grocery store near my new apartment; I actually came and scoped it out before signing the lease, finding it to be adequate for my basic needs. Last night was my first trip there upon moving in to my new apartment. I took a long time going through every aisle to see exactly what they have that will work with my diet. I was pleasantly surprised by how many things I was able to find. The prices are too high for some items (such as Amy's organic entrées, Gardein fake meats, and Beyond Burgers), but I did find some good sales. The best price I found was the Miyoko's vegan butter, which is delicious, on sale for $3.99 (I have never seen it anywhere for less than $7). They also had the Gardein fake beef crumbles, which is one of the few ground beef alternatives that is gluten free. These crumbles can be difficult to find. They also don't have the greatest selection of organic produce (no bulk organic spinach or mushrooms?!) I will still have to travel up to SF (Rainbow Grocery) for bulk items and some of the more hard to find items, but this Mollie Stones will be able to provide me with my staples.
Expect a charming spot that's super popular for its exceptional pastries and dedicated service; just be ready to plan your parking!

Parking kept us from this wonderful bakery three times so plan ahead. The town has grown so it can get mobbed on the streets. Perfect pastries and bread. Supremely caring and thorough and polite and hygienic staff. We were so touched by their care for us and how well they cared for boxing our pastries so that they would survive the transportation home. Everything here is done to the highest level and manner of excellence and we look forward to our next visit. For celiacs and those who are gluten sensitive, they import the flower which is non-GMO and organic and even very sensitive people have discovered no trouble with this flower. Now to get the United States to stop industrial farms from spraying their crops with glyphosate. Thank goodness this baker gives gluten sensitive people and option for bread and dessert. God bless all at Maison Alyzee!
