It was a fiesta for the taste buds! Our server, Karla T, was an absolute gem - attentive, friendly, and full of great recommendations. Let me tell you about the mouthwatering dishes we had:
First up, MOLE TOTS. Imagine crispy potato tots smothered in their 21-ingredient house-made Amor mole, topped with queso, cilantro, red onion, radish, and sour cream. To die for!
Then we cleansed our pallets on Mango Con Chile cocktails, and snacked on the delicious CHIPS & SALSA and a side of GUACAMOLE
Next, we dove into CALAMARI FAMOSO - tender flash-fried calamari steak strips served with a zesty lemon caper & chipotle aioli, cilantro, shishito peppers, and cotija. A definite crowd-pleaser!
The COCA-COLA GLAZED PORK BELLY melted in the mouth! Slow-roasted pork belly with a sweet Mexican Coke and ancho chile glaze, sweet potato puree, roasted cherry tomatoes, fennel arugula salad, red onion, and sesame seeds. Such a unique and flavorful dish!
We couldn't resist the TOUR DE TACO (5 tacos per order, all gluten-free). Served with rice and beans on corn tortillas, it was a taco lover's dream.
The ESQUITES were yummy- roasted corn, garlic mayo, cotija, chile powder, and cilantro. A must-try!
We ended the feast with CHURROS W/SALTED CARAMEL and HORCHATA ICE CREAM. The churros, coated in sugar and canela, were perfectly crispy.
Wow! Is this place changed from the way I used to be years ago when I used to go there. Aside from being a good deal, they've got high quality chefs that are making really good Italian food. I had a shrimp and gluten-free pasta dish that was to die for! Fresh parmesan on the food and lovely salad and soup as much as you could eat. And if you can't finish it, you take it home. I was really surprised, my food was wonderful! Really crowded on the weekend but they found a table for me, and I was by myself and I was quite comfortable. Plenty of food for the next day!
Came here twice in one week once we found it! Great food, a beautiful atmosphere, amazing drinks, and many options for other allergies besides just being vegan. I'm vegan and gluten free and it's exciting to see options to choose from!
Our server, Joshua, took such great care of our family! He kept our drinks full and timed our appetizers, meal and dessert perfectly. I also have Celiac and he was very careful with my food….I didn’t have any negative reaction (which is rare for me at restaurants). We were there for my birthday dinner and he helped to make it a great celebration!
Pieology is not only tasty but reasonable in price. It offers Newton three choices, which makes it a better place for people allergic or sensitive to gluten.
Visiting from out of state and needed some gluten free lunch and some business clothes. I was at a hair appointment and the stylist recommended this mall so I took my mom and baby shopping and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was and how large, as it looks smaller on the outside. Lunch at Lazy Dog was really good, highly recommend, especially if looking for something gluten free.
Jersey Mike's has always been my favorite sandwich shop. Not only because the offer gluten free bread, but also because they slice their meat and cheese fresh for every order. This location is a new shop that just opened today. The staff was friendly and helpful (ordering gluten free usually startles people a bit until they become familiar with it). The shop is small but they have tables inside and outside where you can see and eat. If you're on the go, I recommend downloading, ordering and paying by app so you can just pick up your order and go, plus you earn points toward a free sandwich. Overall, Jersey Mike's is a great chain and this shop is no exception.
A noteworthy Chinese vegan restaurant in the heart of Artesia, just 2 blocks from Pioneer Blvd, where the Indian stores are located. Owned and managed by a Chinese mother-daughter team, family atmosphere. Ambience and decor is pleasing. Food is delicious and well prepared, excellent choices. Vegan desserts are offered too, including organic Tiramisu ice cream which is definitely worth trying. Gluten free options available. Located in a single storied mall with ample parking and also wheel chair access. An enjoyable dining experience. Closed on Tuesdays.
My kids absolutely love this place. They love being able to pick out their own pastries, the variety, and the milk tea. The coffee here is great. Unfortunately, I'm gluten free, so there are only a few items I can eat, but everything I have tried is delicious. Also, items are well
marked for allergens, so it's easy to determine what I can eat.
Gilt free !!!!! The most delicious (Gluten Free) Cauliflower Crust Pizza!!!! Under $16 if feeds two.
The place is not fancy, the don't provide plates (disposable nor regular ones) but you'll really enjoy the food.
Angel was our sever- beyond amazing. Very attentive and quick with service. Food was amazing. We have someone with Celiac (gluten allergy) and he was very proactive in making sure there was no cross contamination ND that the foods we were ordering were gluten free. Top notch server.
This was our first time having Vietnamese dishes. Harry and Cory were wonderful with us guiding us through the different meals and suggesting the gluten free meals to enhance the delicious dining experience. Unfortunately, not being acquainted with the language to name the dishes yet I have posted the pix. Thank you Harry and Cory for a beautiful evening. 😋🙏😊
Great Service, and friendly staff. This location even has Glutem free Buns, important because my bf has a gluten allergy, I love islands but can never go with him because of limited options. The happy hour in the bar is legit 2 margaritas, and a longboard burger with fries was under 25. ALSO it's so bright and clean inside just a great vibe
