I went to Al Dente next door to here and asked if I could sit at the bar and the gentleman at the front (owner?) was very pleasant in directing me to “his bar” in Benevetos. So they’re related. The menus are similar except Benevotos has a great open kitchen with a wood fired pizza oven. I was a bit pasta-d out so I was hoping for the Sea Bass Al Dente but it isn’t on this menu. So I went for pizza, and they had a gluten free crust (+$5, a little steep) which was very good. The bar tender, who did a great job, said it would be thin, crunchy and good, and she was right. Overall it was a good pizza with plenty of fresh ingredients. Perhaps undercooked on top, which can happen with a Gf crust, but solid. I’ll try the sea bass next door next time.
A cozy spot in the North End with a welcoming vibe, serving up exceptional dishes and a lively atmosphere that keeps diners coming back.

One of the coolest spots in little Italy, I loved the set up. The food was really cool, they offered gluten free pasta and vegan cheese which made my day! The service was a bit slammed, we had to wait a while to get seated and checked out but that’s to be expected when it’s a popular spot.
Charming spot with a cozy vibe, offering a fantastic variety of vegan options and delicious dishes that cater to all preferences.

Great place!! The service was top-notch, the inside is a bit cramped (it's the north end) and wicked hot inside but otherwise good! The real star was of course the food. Hands down amazing from the appetizer to the main course- and they accommodated all my allergies very well! I'm GF and DF, they were able to do a lot and had Vegan options too. I'm celiac, felt safe and didn't get sick. Highly recommend.
The restaurant boasts the fact that they can make most of the menu gluten free, but after asking about gluten free pasta, I was informed they don't have it. So I decided on the caprese risotto since it was one of the options I could have. It was very tasty. A little too cheesy for my taste, but overall a solid meal. Do not come here expecting gf pasta though.

Food was delicious, the waiters and staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The restaurant has a nice well lit view and relaxing ambience. Come here for the homemade pasta and oven fired pizza. Very good. I got the carbonara with gluten free penne.

Great food with gluten free pasta able to be subbed for almost any dish (except ravioli). Carbonara was creamy but still light and partners cacio e pepe was good.
Expect a fantastic and affordable spot with delicious options and a great atmosphere, perfect for a satisfying lunch escape.

I have a very thoughtful partner who put a lot of time into looking for a nice Italian restaurant in the North End for date night with the understanding that I will be looking for gluten-free options.
I don't get very many one-star reviews. I'm not entirely sure who is at fault for my experience it could be someone who works in the kitchen it could be the server...
I told them that I couldn't eat gluten due to an allergy. I was served a huge pile of wheat pasta. Do better, I guess. Mistakes happen. I do have a larger problem with the way it was handled after it was discovered to be a problem.
I identified the error before putting food in my mouth and sent it back to the kitchen.
When the food returned, it was literally the same dish and cut of meat but the pasta had been swapped out. It was evident that Lucia Ristorante did not value my safety.
Aside from that, the gluten-free pile of pasta that I received had been cooked hours before and was lukewarm and gummy. Reader, I understand that gluten-free pasta is not the main focus of North End dining but this was the most vile gluten-free pasta I have ever experienced. As you can imagine that's kind of saying a lot.
If that was all that happened I might actually give them another chance and just be really clear next time and provide boundaries up front about what is acceptable for a replacement.... except that the actual dish that I got was such salty dry Bland chicken. I have to say that the fried artichoke was really good. But a few fried artichokes on a dish full of vile pasta kind of eroded my trust to the point where I don't think it's worth trying again.
An excellent hidden gem in the North End with a cozy vibe, expect a wait for generous portions and cash-only payments.

Very good Italian food and gluten-free options as well. Amazing restaurant in the North Bay to stop by for dinner, though it is a compact and particularly loud environment while busy.
Enjoy the unique experience of tableside pasta preparation and attentive service that creates a memorable dining atmosphere.

We had a good dinner, my husband ordered cacio de pepe, which was prepared tableside -- very cool! Our waiter was great, very helpful, and there were plenty of busboys, etc to take care of us as well. One of our party is gluten-free, and all their pasta can be prepared gluten-free, so that was a treat.

Awesome gluten free lobster rolls! They had two options: hot buttered, or cold mayo based lobster salad. Delicious generous hearty chunks of lobster. Not cheap, I believe $30 per roll but worth it.
The establishment is cozy and no frills with limited diner/bar type seating. It feels like authentic Boston. There are photos on the wall of all the famous people that have enjoyed this restaurant.
Kid friendly, my 5 year old nephews loved the grilled cheese and crunchy fries.
Make sure to hit up this thriving spot off the typical path, offering an authentic experience and diverse options, it's loved by locals and tourists.

I loved the fact that there was a gluten free menu! My gluten free penne with vegetables & garlic and oil sauce was delicious! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meatball entree. My mom really liked the alfredo sauce for her dish and our friends liked their meals too including stuffed mushrooms appetizer. Sharon was a great server! 🤗

Late night date night at Lucca in the North End. Bar closes at 1am and Kitchen close at 11:45pm every day. One of the BEST lamb chops ever and my husband had the Lobster Fra-Diavolo, he loved it and devoured it. Got a cosmo and a glass of the Prisioner Cabernet Sauvignon. The service was outstanding. Our server Victor was super knowledgeable and conscious of my Gluten Allergy. Amazing experience!!

Chef Rich was incredible! He caters to every one whether you’re gluten free or vegan etc and that’s exceptional service!
Btw he is charming, debonair and single ready to mingle
Wait can be long but we arrived around noon on a weekday and only waited 5 mins. At 3pm the day before, the wait would have been about 2 hours. Restaurant is very tiny. Everyone is very friendly and service was great. Now... on to the food! The chowder was delicious with tons of flavor; the broth wasn't too thick, more like a stew. Hot lobster roll was excellent, loaded with meat and fries were very good. My girlfriend who has Celiac really appreciated the option of the hot lobster roll with a generously portioned arugula salad instead of fries which were not gluten free. She raved about the anchovy lemon vinaigrette! I will never let my girlfriend forget her $16.50 blood orange Bellini which she very much enjoyed. Neptune Oyster is a definite must in Boston!

Amazing experience from start to finish! We recently dined at Lo Conte's with a group of 14 friends for a birthday celebration. Chef Mike and his staff provided personal service that is rare to find in such busy restaurant in the North End. Not only did he recommend a nearby bakery to bake the birthday cake, he even sent a staff member to pick it up at the bakery before we arrived! He personally stopped by our table to provide menu recommendations, all of which were delicious. Some of the group favorites were the mussels, the meatballs and calamari and shrimp appetizers, and pasta with homemade bolognese, chicken parmesan and chicken picatta for entrees. He even offers a gluten-free pasta option. The flavors were amazing, the portions were generous and prices were very reasonable. P.S. I was reluctant to write this review because I fear that if word gets out, this hidden gem in the North End will have a line out the door! Everyone in our group is already looking forward to planning another visit!

Do I dare tell you it is delicious? One of my favourite restaurants in the North End. A cozy, homey atmosphere with excellent service. Pino will make a custom dish to suit your dietary needs. He has gluten-free pasta and can serve vegetarians too. Off the beaten path - dine here away from the tourists and the feeding frenzy for a relaxing meal with the classic flavors for many regions of Italy.
With a welcoming vibe, personalized service, and beautiful food presentation, this spot promises a memorable dining experience every time.

Amazing experience at Bricco. Our server Manuel M. was so accommodating and informative. This place is great for gluten free dining - I had the gluten free gnocchi and it was the best I've had! And I went when it was super busy on Valentine's day, the ultimate test.
This spot serves up amazing house-made pasta and bread, with standout dishes like lobster fettuccini and a must-try pistachio martini!

I’m still dreaming of my meal that I had here a few weeks ago. The lobster fettuccini was hands down the best dish I’ve had in the North End. It was packed with fresh lobster and the pink sauce was just perfect. They make all of their pasta and bread and it really shows. Everything is to die for. They were super accommodating with a gluten and dairy allergy too. Don’t skip the pistachio martini!
The food was delicious. Great service. Three pasta dishes and nothing was left on our plates! Also one person in our party cannot have gluten and happily they had a gluten-free penne. Will definitely go back again!
Expect refined dishes with a unique variety that elevate the average dining experience in the area, though it comes at a slightly higher price.

Great meal - would definitely recommend.
You will pay a bit more for a dish compared to the average of the north end, but you get more in terms of refinement and variety of dishes.
They have Gluten Free pasta too, which is always a plus in my book!
The service is impeccable. Richard is a wonderful host. The food is all freshly prepared. If you have a food allergy they can easily accommodate. My partner has celiac disease and they were able to come up with several options. We sampled the shrimp appetizer as well as the caprese appetizer and the spinach/ prosciutto/ cannelini bean dish. All were excellent.
They have the best Bolognese in the North End!
Wine selection was superb. Go. Enjoy, relax and sample the best the North End has to offer. We will be back!
