It has been a few years since we have eaten at the Bier Garden. I should have realized what we were in for when, on a Friday night, there was no crowd and no one ahead of us in line to be seated. We almost left when we entered as my wife cannot stand the smell of Fabuloso cleaner and that smell was overwhelming as soon as we entered. We were immediately seated just inside the entry-way dining room. Unfortunately the door closer does not work and every time the staff passed thru the door it slammed with a loud noise that was more than annoying. It is difficult to believe that folks who work there have not learned how to ease the door shut or found some way to cushion the blow. With some dietary needs, we asked about gluten-free options and the hostess offered an allergy information sheet. This was immediately forgotten and only arrived after we had ordered. However, that was just as well because the print was too small to read. Service was slow. As such it gave more than enough time to study all the decorative items and surroundings. Thankfully the A/C made for a pleasant temperature. However, it was less than appetizing to see the black stains surrounding the vent. Had there been a wood stove, I would assume that it was soot from smoke but around an A/C duct, it only brought black mildew to mind. As far as the meal, my schnitzel was about 1/4 in thick and so tough it had to be cut with a knife. My wife's brussel sprout salad was just that. None of the other ingredients were there except for one sliver of a radish. The dressing was almost absent. 90% of it was left. "Need a box to go?" "No thanks." Wish we had read the reviews before we went.

This place is great! I have gluten issues & I am vegan so to find a place that can accommodate me other than just offering salads or sides was awesome. Got the Lions mane chicken sandwich with waffle bread & it was fantastic!! Elderberry tea is really good & you can get all their teas iced which I loved. It does take a bit to get your food because it’s really cooked to order but our food was piping hot when it came out. We will definitely be back next time we are in VA!

The gluten free corned beef reuben sandwich was amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly, funny, and patient. Even the patrons seemed really happy to be there.

Food was good. Nothing too spectacular, but it was hot and fully cooked! The only issue I had was with their app. Their app didn't recognize my phone device. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have reset my password several times. I have used other devices, laptops, and desktops in different city locations. Still cannot get it work... Even with your pricey menu, I still visit your franchise because it is one of only a handful of stores where my daughter can select her food, due to her gluten food allergies.

Lots of selections, I like a lot of choices, full on meat and seafood depts, generous portions of store brand products and prices. Produce is fresh and there is local selections to support local farmers. Sushi is very good, I suggest the crunchy dragon roll and the Philly roll. There is a lot of options here for folks who have to really watch their diets, theres several choices for; Low sodium Low or no sugar Low carb Low sat fats Gluten free Free range Organic product, not all are listed. Just a bit pricier than for my budget thats why I don't shop here regularly just when I need certain things.

The coffee is clearly high quality, the food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing. They have great customer service and plenty of options for those who are vegan or with gluten allergies/intolerances. We will definitely be coming here for our coffee fix everytime we are in town. Highly recommend!

Our server Kennedy, who looked a bit like Blake Lively, was fantastic! I have celiacs and she was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the gluten free options available. The food was great - we ordered the salmon, lamb, muscles, and edamame. Highly recommend the muscles as an appetizer!

Excellent with a gluten free selection also. Friendly , huge selection and real family made food. Worth every penny thou it's no more expensive than going to panda express and getting commercial grade food.
