No MSG No Garlic Foodie

We decided to visit Victoria after finding several restaurants offering vegan food. Since Be Love is dedicated vegan and also gluten free, it was my first choice. However, there wasn't that many items on the menu to my taste, but since they promise seasonal items, I had hoped that there would be some pleasant surprises. The rest of my party decided to order organic red and white wines by the glass. I chose Earthblood Tonic juice made with carrot, beet, celery, kale and ginger. It was very refreshing and looked stunning. The Mac Bowl appealed to me because it claimed to have braising greens, seasonal vegetable, and broccoli. I was warned that the sauce contains garlic, but I took a chance hoping that it would be black garlic rather than fresh garlic. Fortunately, the garlic was hardly noticeable and I was not affected. It was a very rich dish and I loved the creamy taste of the sauce. The roasted hazel nuts were strange and tasted as though the vegetables still had soil/sand/grit. I was disappointed with the scant amount of greens and vegetables, and if I had known, I might have asked for extra vegetables. And of course, I could not finish it the macaroni. If it wasn't for the 'gritty texture' I would have rated this four stars. My friends ordered the daily special gluten free ravioli with nettle. They all loved it. We also shared a platter with flatbread, cashew cream cheese, apple & beet chutney. I was only able to have one item because the rest were heavy with garlic.

Thank you for making pizza that I can actually eat that tastes amazing. Finding a gluten-free/dairy-free pizza that doesn’t taste like chemicals and sadness is a true feat. ❤️

Wooooooow that was so tasty! You will not regret eating here! The flavours were beautiful, the portion is generous, and the mango lasse is the best I’ve ever had! The dosas are gluten free :)

They don't have many gluten free options. I ordered and was assured that the kitchen will take care. I got sick later that night as I have celiac disease. So care was not taken.

My wife ordered gluten free, she was served gluten. She is a celiac. Unacceptable. No apology from the server or manager. The item was also left on the bill. I honestly can’t believe this is how this restaurant operates.

I explicitly asked for gluten free noodles due to an allergy, the cashier misunderstood and made gluten noodles. Spoke to owner and they weren’t willing to remake or refund :(

The Tan Tan Ramen has the most delicious Vegan Mushroom broth and can be done with Gluten free noodles!!!

We needed gluten free and we were very happy to know that they have a dedicated gluten free menu and they use a dedicated gluten free fryer for their food. It can be really hard to find a lot of places like this, but this is by far my favourite place to eat in Victoria! I really want to thank everyone there who made it very easy to find safe food for us.

The food tastes good. It's a little expensive for a walk up counter when you add on any protein or avocado. Most of the additions were gluten free, which is why we chose this place. They had fun beverage options. It's accessible, but a tight squeeze inside when it's full in rush hours

My bestie and I dined at Varsha for the first time on Saturday. From the moment we walked through the door, I knew it would be a great experience. First of all, the seating is amazing. From someone who struggles with comfort in restaurants, I could see that every seat looked comfortable and the layout was excellent. The person who greeted, seated and served us was lovely, she was so friendly and helpful and ensured our experience was a wonderful one! We share Chicken Pakoras and Palak Paneer...both were divine! We found the menu options to be excellent for my gluten free needs due to a wheat allergy. And the prices are fantastic! I definitely look forward to returning more frequently! **I've just read through some of the negative reviews and I'm actually shocked. Our service was amazing, fast and friendly. The food was fantastic. And I see someone complaining that their butter chicken poutine came on a bed of fries....ummm what did you think you were ordering?! Anyway, I kind of think some of the negative reviews are bogus, but I guess everyone has different experiences. I have quite high standards/expectations, and they were met fully!

As a celiac, this place was easy to share plates (something we don't often get to do with our friends and family). Loved all the GF options on the menu and the variety. Food was so delicious.
