This family style burger restaurant has delicious burgers and sides to choose from. The portion sizes are excellent and their ingredients always seem fresh.
As a person who eats gluten free they are gluten free supportive and can change an order to address dietary needs with out compromising the quality or flavour. (They do have gluten products and do cook gluten products in their deep fryer just as an fyi)

Friendly service, clean, almost everything gluten free. Quality of ingredients was great…local cheese and meat. Can’t go too wrong; absolutely delicious homemade burgers.
If I had to find a negative then I suppose it would be that some of the fries were overcooked and I had to throw a few out for that reason.

While I do appreciate the quality of the food and gluten free options, I have to say the service is really lacking. Waited an hour for avocado on toast which like, doesn’t even require cooking. After taking forever to serve our food, staff rushed us to pay and leave asap. I was informed by the waitress that “we have a wait list” while she was pacing back and forth in front of our table to really lay the pressure on. The whole thing was almost funny.

The service was absolutely great—friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. I’m giving a 4-star rating mainly because I think the menu could use a bit more variety, especially for those with dietary restrictions. It would be great to see more options that cater to different needs, like gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian or allergy-friendly choices.
That said, the food we did try was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I’d definitely come back again and would recommend it to friends. Looking forward to seeing how the menu evolves over time!

The Grocery Basket is absolutely amazing! Their food is consistently fresh and delicious, and their coffee truly lives up to its name "Freakin Good Coffee". I have started using them for my catering needs and they have been incredibly accommodating with various dietary requests, such as gluten-free, celiac, vegetarian, vegan, and diabetic diets. They are always able to come up with creative and different options to meet everyone's needs. Additionally, they have been very understanding of my last-minute lunch requests and always deliver. They're always great. My usual issue is that I'm gluten intolerant. At the Chinese Palace I just check when I'm ordering, and my food is delicious and gluten free. Excellent front desk service.
