Large, light and airy (think windows, wicker & large potted plants in an old factory building). However, there was no greeter; we sat at the counter and were ignored. Finally figured out we had to order around the corner at the register. The associate (they were all young) answered the phone while we were ordering. Very rude. We sat at a table and waited for our drinks (first) and sandwiches (a somewhat lengthy second) to be delivered. Gluten-free sandwiches were a disappointment--$10 & $11 for a BLT and a cheese & egg served on small sandwich-sized bread. Large drinks (the size of a Dunkin' medium) were $5 @. Neither of us will ever return. (P.S. Parking is horrendous. We nabbed a spot in the adjacent small lot but we would not have walked over from the municipal garage for the Gallagher Terminal.)

The food was awesome! They made us gluten free, dairy free pancakes (not on the menu, but by request) that were the best I ever had. I highly recommend anything fried as well. They said most things on the menu can be made gluten free by request. (Note that they have GF pizza on the menu, but they didn't have it available today. I didn't see any GF pastries either.)
Service was a little slow but very friendly. They only have a small bathroom in the kitchen area that they allow customers to use, so I docked one star for that. Street parking only.

I recently visited Starving Artist for breakfast, and overall, it was a great experience! I ordered the seasonal "Something Good Crepe," which was a savory delight with brie, turkey slices, and a tangy cranberry jam on top. It was light and flavorful—definitely a unique combination. My girlfriend tried the Crepedilla, which was essentially a savory quesadilla in crepe form. It was good, but not as exciting as the other dishes.
One of the great things about Starving Artist is that they offer the option to make any of their crepes gluten-free, which is a fantastic choice for those with dietary restrictions. It’s always nice to have a place where you can enjoy a delicious meal without having to compromise on flavor or texture, and the gluten-free crepes here are just as tasty as the regular ones. It’s a thoughtful touch that makes the dining experience even more inclusive!
We also shared the "Spiced and Something Nice" crepe, which was a simple yet absolutely amazing dessert. The cinnamon and sugar paired perfectly with the butter, and the side of maple syrup added the right touch. For drinks, the seasonal Egg Nog Latte was a must-try—so decadent and flavorful, it was the perfect winter treat.
The only downside was the seating, which felt a bit uncomfortable, and the live music, which didn’t quite fit the vibe for us. Still, everything else was wonderful, and I’d definitely come back for the food and the latte!

We discovered this little gem about a two years ago and have enjoyed every visit ever since! Finding a local gluten free restaurant isn't the easiest, but we struck gold with this one! Service is always superb and the food is pretty much perfect. Courtney K. served us today and she made our visit so much more enjoyable. She's super friendly and helpful, which we always appreciate. We got the Southwest Cobb Salad, California Bowl with the Salmon, Poi Parmesan Fries and Raspberry Almond Shortbread for dessert. All gluten free and all very delicious!

Found this gem of a spot after driving an hour to go to ihop and they were closed. We needed somewhere to go late night that also had gluten free vegetarian options. I didn’t expect much BUTTTT this place is so good!! They have a specific page for gluten free/vegan for one!! But also, it’s so cute, they have amazing food and GIANT PORTIONS. Tea is amazing. From beginning to end, a wonderful experience! I called to place a take out order and the girl that I spoke with was very helpful as I had a few questions. She was friendly & patient. We truly appreciate that there are so many Gluten Free options available as we have a family member with an allergy. When I arrived to pick up our food, I was greeted with friendly smiles which was so refreshing!! It’s rare to get friendly customer service these days so I REALLY appreciated that!! As soon as we got home we dove into our food & it was perfect! Everything was there (no missing items, which happens often with other places) & our food was DELICIOUS! This may seem like a small thing but I was so excited to have fresh cut fruit as my side!! Anyway, the Sunshine Cafe is fantastic and we will absolutely be returning!! I gave IHOP 4 stars because they offer gluten-sensitive options. I think they have come a far way, and this effort to be inclusive earned them 4 stars. The food food was OK.
