I was really looking forward to dining here after hearing such great things, especially because of the mostly gluten-free menu. Ideal for celebrating a coeliac friend’s birthday. Unfortunately, the experience fell short.
The portion sizes were shocking for the price. $28 for a plate of heirloom tomatoes and stracciatella felt steep for what we received.
The cauliflower dish was also underwhelming, it was bland and lacking in flavour.
The sticky date pudding and the cardamom yogurt were great but didn’t redeem the meal.
While I could understand paying premium prices for amazing atmosphere or great flavours, neither were memorable. Disappointing overall, especially given the great reviews and high prices.

Incredible cafe & shop! I have to eat low fodmap and this places has so many gluten free & vegan bakery items as well as having a huge shop downstairs where you can pick up food or ingredients that are fodmap friendly as well as catering for other dietary requirements too.
The best pizza EVER. I have had glutinous and gluten-free pizza in Chicago, New York City, Boston throughout my life ... None compares. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I have to have gluten-free (15 yrs now) but my partner does not. I asked him what he thought. He too says this was the best - not just gluten-free - but the best over all and any type. Do not overlook this pizza place.
Had a great time in a lovely at atmosphere with a heavy plant and tropics vibe. Food was excellent and handled our coeliac issues with grace. Recommended
Best food in town! Better than Pina tbh. I am usually picky with brunches and salad in general and this place blows me away. I tried the tuna salad and the flavors exploded in my mouth. The price is way too low for the quality and the quantity. I had to split my salad into 2 meals. The ingredients are so fresh; everything was done to perfection. And the gluten-free toast here is the best bread I have ever tasted. 10/10! Will try their sandwich and salad in the future.
Nat at bang tang is wonderful to deal with. Organised catering at short notice on a Friday for a Monday before lunch. Food was delicious. Catered for gluten free / vegan too. Will defo be using again for our catering needs at the local NFP community centre where I work.
A lovely little bar/restaurant, friendly, attentive service with a relaxed atmospere. Went to the trouble of working out Gluten Free options. The tapas were delicious, the gluten free bread so fresh I had to double check it was right.
Fei Jai is a jewel of a restaurant in Challis Avenue. As a coeliac, it was awesome to find a menu with so many gluten free options and everything we ordered was delicious. The service is friendly and prompt and the outdoor dining a delight. Can't recommend this place highly enough and can't fault the food or the service.

Really lovely find and very good options you’ll manage to find something for everyone. The avo was to die for and the gluten free bread was so yummy, whoever your supplier is keep them! The only reason for a 4 not 5 is because the crab roll didn’t have much crab at all. Flavours to die for, compliments to the chef. Chances of us coming back while we’re only here for a week is quite high and will be a Sydney recommendation. Thanks!
Great for gluten free.
This place is my favourite. Fresh delicious food with great gluten free options. The prices are more than fair for the generous portions, quality of the food and the service. It is a little oasis away from the hussle and bustle of kings cross. My go to is the big breakfast or the salmon with vegies.

Four of us had dinner at LucSan on Friday evening and had an excellent experience. The service is super attentive but relaxed and the food is a delicious alchemy of flavours in share plates that allowed us all a taste of many different dishes. We were there over three hours, were not hurried and the food came at a perfect rate to keep us salivating throughout. And almost every dish is gluten free, so for those with sensitivities, this is a treat. If you haven’t been, you must go.
Probably fav brunch in Syd
Scrambled eggs & chilli are a must
The chilli oil is like crack - sweeter and seedier and less hot than usual chilli oil - but no less addictive
Gluten free bread quite dense and seedy but I thought it was really good
Sourdough pancake to share after is good - but better between a bigger group!
amazing food and service came here twice in my 3 night stay! Got the big breakfast which is amazing and so filling. Second time I got the pulled lamb sandwich and it was delicious. They are also amazing to cater for Gluten Free
The gluten free base was transparent with grease and the depth of a corn tortilla. The ricotta was still frozen and the waitress assured me that’s how the chef prepares it. These people don’t care. You should. Don’t be a part of Sydney’s problem. We deserve better. This cost $80. We ate so you don’t have to. Walk away people. They really don’t care.
Food and service was 11/10. I had the lamb Massaman and it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I’m also coeliac, the staff (Amy in particular) was very knowledgable about the menu and relayed this information to the kitchen. I highly recommend here for some AMAZING food 😊
I didn’t even get to the restaurant my review is about the phone call I had with ISABELLA
I asked her about gluten intolerance for the banquet menu
She was so uninterested
She said yes we can do substitutions
When I asked what they were (because a lot of places just substitute meat/fish for vegetables)
she told me “you’ll just have to find out when you get there”
And then I asked if they use gluten free soy sauce in their dishes (that determine how many dishes I could eat) she again responded I’ll find out when I get there. The whole point was that we was to find out whether it was worth it to attend the set menu lunch or if it would by an issue sigh.
Melted Monster is the best cafe in NSW! They have the best food and drink (especially iced chai) and they have an array of Gluten Free options. Perfect for all and very quick service. If you are in the area it is must try!!!!!!!!
One of the best meals we have had in a long time. It was amazing that they fully catered for my gluten free wife. I am always amazed at how much flavour they can pack into the dishes!!
The chicken and avocado toastie was amazing!!! Came back for it twice during my stay in Sydney. Gluten free bread available and coffee was great too! Staff super nice and quick. Definitely recommend it!
