We had a lovely time at Snooze A.M. Tempe. We're familiar with the location in Tucson, AZ which has always been a lovely go-to for brunch. The service, food, and atmosphere in Tempe's location was spot on. I mostly appreciate the gluten free options. I never have to think twice about going to Snooze A.M. It's on our list of regular dine-in restaurants.
ive been a shady park advocate since before 2020. as someone with celiac this was my favorite place to get delicious ramen without harming myself, enjoy outdoor seating or maybe catch a show. coming now in 2025, everything has changed for the worse. while service remains one of the best things about shady, there are limited gluten free options with no more ramen—while still offering gluten free noodles just to not have any broth, protein, or vegetables to eat it with since they bathe everything in soy sauce. i was given overcooked, on the tail end of expiring edamame. im sad this place is no longer a place i can come to.
The bad -
Holly (the manager) was very rude and impolite from the get go. When we walked in, she asked how many. We told her and she asked if we could split up. We told her we did not want to and she reacted very negatively and put out by the response. We said we are fine to wait longer and could sit outside. The whole point of eating out is for us to be together and we don’t feel like it was unreasonable for us to not split up.
We also had another issue with her. We are from out of state and we’re not aware outside drinks are not allowed in restaurants. She was very rude in telling us and did not really explain anything. She just told us we can’t have outside drinks. We put our drinks away under the table and we’re not drinking from them. We assumed that’s what she meant. However she came back by and said to us, “ I appreciate you trying to hide them, but outside drinks are not allowed.” We were not trying to “hide” anything. The way she said it was so condescending and accusatory. We just had no idea that putting them away was also not allowed. We have no issue following the rules or being corrected, but there is a baseline level of respect/decency that you should give to all people. I understand that people may have a rough day but you should still be kind. Manager should understand this.

Our waitress, Rain was incredible. She was so kind and apologetic and really turned our experience around. She made us feel welcome and took great care of us. She even chased us down in the parking lot to give us a forgotten to go box! She really was a highlight of the experience for us.
The food was also amazing, it tasted great and the gluten free options were a plus. Portion sizes were also very large and worth it.
Overall it is a great place aside from the manager Holly. Reading the reviews, Holly seems to be a recurring issue for people. If they hire more people like Rain and give more coaching on customer service to Holly, it can be an amazing place from all angles.
Good food but small portions. I really appreciate the allergen guidelines being clearly listed on the menu. The lamb in the Tikka masala was excellent, mint chutney was some of the best I've ever had, but the tandoori chicken was dry and bland. Also pass on the gluten free roti as it's just a $6 super thick corn tortilla.
Wonderful food and delicious beer! I had the brewers pub...like a French dip. It was so delicious. The meat was tender and juicy and the jus had great flavor. I had a WOW beer that was crisp and fresh. My husband had the chicken tenders and fries. It was a wonderful piece of chicken with great breading and the fries were deliciously crisp. He had the WOW light in a can and liked that mix w lemonade. My daughter who is gluten intolerant had the chicken enchiladas. They had great flavor with delicious shredded chicken. She had the suace on the side which was good for her because it was a bit spicy. The rice and beans were amazing too, great flavor!
We used Fate Brewing for a company gathering. Their staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. For the 2 hour window the appetizers, food and dessert came out quickly. Fate offers a great variety of drinks for all to enjoy! They also offer a delicious gluten free crust.
Service was lacking, the server did the bare minimum. The brisket fajita bowl was really tasty and I loved the drinks in the mason jars. They have a separate gluten free menu with quite a few options.
We had absolutely great food, but suffered from management issues. We are used to great, high quality food in Chicago and we are giving it high marks for food. However, we arrived after the rush at 8:30pm to long delays with table service, bar service and it took so long to give our order that they had run out of 3 of our top entree choices. The waitress seemed stressed and was clearly conflicted between being personable and getting things done - not her fault. In the end we had a nice server and great food, a beautiful interior (it was dark so no view), but nothing else was to the same standards as the food. Chicago prices as well. (Hotel and resort restaurants are never as good as independently owned ones, btw). They were also REALLY fantastic for supporting gluten free dining
The food here was very delicious. They even offer Gluten-free pancakes. However, the service was kind of slow & the restaurant did not seem busy at all. When we did eventually get service the staff seemed friendly. It’s a cute place might give it another shot.
Such a fun place to hang out with friends, eat, and play games. The food is pretty good; not amazing. But they do have plenty of gluten free options, including GF pizza crust, which we appreciated. If you're looking for something different to do with family and friends then this is a great place to check out.
