I come here on Mondays when my gluten free friend comes to Sac & most of the fav gf restaurants are closed. Some of the gf macaroni & cheese dishes are great & served hot in a cast iron dish. Some macs are not great & served in a regular dish that arrived cold, back to oven for 5 mins, came back cold & in a fresh, cold dish. Nice salads. Seems like seasonal dishes? Really expensive for what is served. Nice staff. Clean, cool place.
Gluten free: menu was pretty lacking. Our rolls were a bit bland and they won't adjust their specials, such as the $70 for Two dinner, to incorporate gluten free options even when it's a simple swap. That enough soured me to not want to come back. I found it a bit overpriced for the food we got, considering it was plainer than the regular rolls but cost the same. Go elsewhere, like Kru or Fish Face. Servers were great, it's just an administrative issue on how they run their menu for those of us with special dietary needs.
I really like this place (I had it mixed up with the place upstairs Veg Cafe but they are both really good). I have been here several times over the past few years and I went back recently. They have a fairly diverse menu with vegan options. (Check out their menu). They have a “seasonal menu” that changes from time to time.
The service was really good and the atmosphere is nice. You can adjust pretty much anything as far as gluten free, vegetarian or vegan options. Most of the entrees and items are Thai types so lots of noodles and rice. If you’re vegan or vegetarian and like Thai food I would recommend this place 100%.
Had the most wonderfully helpful and kind waiter (Angelo) who gave me information on their gluten friendly options and recommend the Chicken Marsala with gluten friendly noodles. I have never had a better gluten friendly pasta meal. This was about a month ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. Angelo is my hero and the chefs are beyond skilled! Wonderful experience, I highly recommend.
The Spaghetti Factory is an old family favorite. From celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, or just a good get-together with loved ones the family-friendly atmosphere can't be beat. Unfortunately, I have forgotten our server's name, but she was more than patient with our large group. Service was quick, and food was great, as always. It's also nice that they can accommodate celiac and gluten-sensitive people. We will be back again!
A few years ago, my nail guy suggested this spot for a new place to check out for date night and it did not disappoint.
We made this our actual go-to for low key but social vibes for more than date night. It became our spot for our 1st Valentines, celebration of a merch launch and just a chill spot for US time.
The food is spot on, accommodating most of the time, options if gluten free, allergy friendly and just for preference! They have a very COOL. and Chill vibe that suits a lot of moods! I haven’t checked out their weekend sports bar atmosphere but I’ve yet to hear anything bad or any red flags that it doesn’t deliver!
Our fave plates are the salmon, steak, fries (sweet potato & fancy regular) and their pasta!
We ordered the GF chicken pad Thai and even asked them to mark it as a gluten allergy. They accidentally added a bunch of fried tofu, which is not gluten free. Might have to go to the hospital and they said they can't do anything for us. With me luck, I guess.
This restaurant was just okay. My son and I went there for a special occasion. I made a reservation ahead of time and told them of the special occasion but no one ever acknowledged that while we were there. Most restaurants would have made some kind of fuss. The meal I wanted to order was no longer on the menu, though it showed on the website. The mail I ended up with was full of mostly squash and zucchini, things I'm not crazy about. Would have appreciated more different vegetables inside of it. My son got one of the specials, which were pretty spendy, and he didn't like it. He thought it was the pasta of the ravioli but I think it was most likely almond cheese or something because he said it was a little bit gritty. The appetizer was probably the best thing. We got a heirloom tomato thing that was just delicious. That was probably our favorite part.
I WAS happy that there seemed to be organic soap in the restroom so I did not have to subject myself to chemicals. Kudos for that!
For me, there are two problems with this restaurant. One is that the menu is very small so there are not many options. Most of them were things I would make at home and did not want to eat out. Second problem was no real gluten-free options. I think that a Restaurant that is vegan should perhaps have more consciousness around the subject of gluten. Oh! And I emailed the manager three times leading up to the day I was expecting to be there & never got an answer until afterwards! So they could definitely do better with communicating as well. All in all, we were not real impressed with the restaurant and probably will not go again.
This is the one at the mall. Our family has issues with Gluten, and they have gluten free buns!! The food is always good. The service is always good, and I'm happy to go back when we're at the mall. I love their mashed potatoes, their waiters are patient when we change the dishes due to allergies and I'm thankful to have a good place to go to. I also appreciate they're not wasting paper or passing menus around as we can simply look it up on our phone which is convenient. It can be challenging eating out with an allergy, I'm thankful I can go here and have options. The waiter even knew we couldn't have French fries due to cross contamination this time!
Always a wonderful dining experience. They have gluten free and dairy free options, including gluten free toast. The staff is always friendly. They are also dog friendly. Their outdoor seating area is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere. Really great for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
Came at an odd time between lunch and dinner but they had a very small menu and they accommodated my friends who were gluten and dairy-free. I had the burger was delicious. My friend had the chicken sandwich. We had some salads. It was all very good and very peaceful to sit since it wasn't very busy!
Perfect for celebrating our 13th anniversary! James was attentive and the entire staff made us feel special. The fresh oysters were the best I've ever had, and the clarified strawberry bourbon cocktail was incredible. As someone with celiac disease, I was thrilled with the delicious gluten-free options and knowledgeable staff. We can't wait to return!
My family and I love the ambience of this place so we have given it a thorough trial. We have visited a total of 3 times. The first time was for my birthday dinner in which the power unexpectedly went out and they had us pay and excused us from the restaurant. It sucked, but they told us to return. We returned for my Mom’s birthday in 2023 and my father got a dry chicken dish. We finally did brunch this past Saturday with a friend and my husband. Flavors were awesome but technique was lacking. The eggs on both dishes (Benedict and avocado toast) were under poached - runny and translucent whites kind of under poached. When my Mom asked for it to be recooked, the server asked my Mom if she was looking for a medium poach. Unfortunately my Mom was just looking for the eggs to be standard poached. They went ahead and removed it from the bill which was considerate. The almond cake sounded so yummy and flavor was excellent, but almond cake is notorious for being a moist gluten free treat. This one was oddly dry and mealy. The lemon ricotta pancakes, although not notorious for being overly sweet, weren’t sweet at all. I’m sorry to say we likely won’t be back. Beautiful place and lovely staff if that’s what you’re looking for! Perhaps we have just had bad luck with them.
Cute cute diner ♡ Yummy food and hits the spot for craving diner dishes! A gluten free bun option that tasted so much like a regular bun that I asked twice if they were sure it was gluten free ;) Delish delish delish. Solid prices and nicr staff. Will return ♡
Excellent place to watch a game. Bonus: sound is on for the Kings games! Extensive beer menu, full bar, pizza is delicious, and, for the gluten-free fans, the best gluten-free crust around. Friendly servers who give a damn. Highly recommend this locally owned small business.
The shrimp risotto and chicken were amazing. As a person with a gluten allergy, I am pleased that they had multiple options for gluten allergies - noted on the menu- their options were absolutely delicious.
Food was amazing! Very tasty and prepared with love indeed.
Atmo was low key at the moment but I can see the potential for this outdoor space to become a destination spot on the weekends and summer evenings.
I don't eat pork, but was able to try the Belgi Beef-- so yummy and that savory waffle was the perfect crisp. I paired my meal with garlic fries that were small wedges with the perfect amount of seasoning.
Service was excellent just wish the server was a little less willing to take a low jab and ask what drew me to the place, when I was having a difficult time deciding on something to eat without pork. Which there were non-pork items available, however once I mentioned why I stopped by he was kind and quick to offer even kinder words.
I will definitely be back for the pretzel and beer cheese-- dairy and gluten enzymes in hand!
Thank you for such an innovative food concept!
The pizza and service is wonderful. The deep dish pizza is so filling. My partner has a gluten allergy and their gluten free pizzas was really good. They said that it was the best gluten free crust they've had.
What a gem of a place!! And they have delicious gluten free pizza!! That is hard to find! The atmosphere Is classy and comfortable and kid friendly! Highly recommend !
Great service, the food was incredible. I was glad to know that they are able to make their food gluten free by request (and have some great gluten free options without needing to make a request, like the cauliflower bites)
I love this restaurant! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the ambience is lovely w/dim but also bright lights, indoor & outdoor seating, and fun music! This place is kind of pricey, and the food is not quite as delicious as a lot of smaller Mexican restaurants, but it’s still delicious, and there is a lot of variety, like food items for people like me with dietary issues (gluten & lactose intolerance); I highly recommend the fish tacos and the carne asada tacos—so juicy, fresh, & huge! :)🌮🌮 I had my birthday here a few weeks ago—good times!
We were seated at a table and waited 25 minutes before asking if we could get a waitress. There was an issue with the waitress who was supposed to take our order, but as soon as we said something a different waitress who had just walked in helped us and got our food to us immediately. She was extremely nice and apologetic for the wait time and miscommunication, but was quick to fix it. On top of this there are A LOT of TASTY gluten free options. We will happily come again!
