Great options for vegan brunch. Although the vegan BLT was unexpectedly sweet, the quality of the food was excellent.i would return to try another vegan dish. Recommended for groups with various dietary needs (vegan, gluten free, nut free, etc). Service was great!
The food and drinks were amazing. We had the dip sampler, Colombian ribs, fish tacos and passionfruit cheesecake. They have plenty of gluten free and vegan options. Highly recommend!
We had an excellent dining experience at Tamarind Tribeca. The food was tasty, fresh, and exceeded my expectations. The waiters were knowledgeable and made great suggestions, especially for gluten-free dishes. The drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night. Overall, 10/10.
A Thoughtfully Crafted Burger Experience in the Heart of Forest Hills
Bareburger in Forest Hills is far more than your average burger joint—it’s a place where quality, care, and creativity come together beautifully. The menu is impressively versatile, offering everything from classic grass-fed beef to bison, elk, and plant-based patties that don’t feel like afterthoughts. Each ingredient feels intentionally chosen, and it shows in every bite.
What sets this place apart is its ability to cater to nearly every diet without sacrificing flavor. Whether you’re gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, or simply a lover of a well-made burger, Bareburger ensures you feel included—and well fed. The sweet potato fries deserve their own round of applause, and the shakes (whether dairy or plant-based) are thick, nostalgic, and satisfying.
The ambiance is inviting—rustic yet modern, family-friendly yet grown-up enough for a casual date night. Staff are attentive and genuinely helpful, which goes a long way in today’s fast-casual dining scene.
Yes, it’s priced a bit above your typical burger spot, but the difference in quality and experience more than justifies it. Bareburger is a Forest Hills gem—one that honors the art of the burger while embracing the values of thoughtful, sustainable dining
I had high hopes after seeing the reviews and the gluten-free options.
The owner and staff were surprisingly hostile to our party as first timers, commenting directly to us (and others) throughout the meal about how absurd it was that we did not have cash on hand for payment. Very bizarre, and something I’ve never experienced before.
The gluten-free pizza tasted worse than a Domino’s pizza, and was twice the cost ($25). I can’t recommend much about this venue.
Came to Palma because of rave reviews of their GF pastas and GF food. Overall they had a great selection of Gf foods and also listed what was DF. Sensitive to allergies. Service was pretty basic but the atmosphere was lovely. Mixed reviews on the food (see below) but would definitely return and would recommend to anyone with gluten and dairy dietary restrictions.
Our appetizers were fantastic- had the fritto misto and the octopus- perfect for sharing for 4 people. There were plenty of GF main options, but only two pastas labeled GF (although the GF fettuccine can be made with any sauce). I was very underwhelmed by the GF fettuccine with mushrooms and truffles. The Gf pasta was cooked “al dente” but that made it a weird texture. Not all of the mushrooms were well cooked. My daughter had the parpadelle bolognese and the pasta was somewhat falling apart. My husband was happy with the ravioli although it was a small portion. Overall 4/5 on the food, some hits and misses but we generally had an enjoyable meal.
This restaurant is dangerous for people with gluten allergies. The waitress was not knowledgeable about gluten on the menu. She was very rude and short as soon as my party told her that one of us has an allergy. She said the person could have a salad but nothing else, and they don’t have gluten free bread. Even if that wasn’t true, after that initial encounter we decided to leave.
The selection of burger options at Bareburger was genuinely impressive. Beyond the typical options, you can get elk, bison, impossible, black bean, and more. The topping options are likewise variety. Everything I tried was delicious, and my teenagers loved it too.
There are vegan sections of the menu, and other dietary restrictions, like gluten-free, are well marked in the menu.
Highly recommend.
This place has been around the upper east side for a very long time and it never disappoints! It's definitely pricier than other Chinese places in the area but they serve higher quality food that is less greasy, less sweet, and less salty. They also serve dim sum all day. With all that being said, some of their dishes are still catered to the western palate but it is still better than other places in the area.
Here are some of my favorite items from them
Fried egg rolls. Their egg rolls are legit. It's giant, filling and crispy.
Hot and sour soup. Very good and filling. Perfect for colder days.
Walnut prawns. Very big prawns that are flavored in this nice sweet and savory white sauce with fried walnuts.
Sautéed pea shoot. Very good while getting your fibers in.
Shrimp with black bean sauce and mined pork. Very good and flavorful.
Turnip cakes. Delicious and crispy.
Chives and shrimp patty. Lots of flavor.
They also have lots of gluten free options here. Service is always top notch. Overall a solid spot on the UES

This has become our absolute go-to spot whenever we’re heading to Broadway for a show. Whether we’re seeing a matinee or catching an evening performance, this restaurant is perfectly located—just a short, easy walk to and from most of the major theaters. The convenience alone would make it worth a visit, but it’s the consistently great food and service that keep us coming back.
The menu is broad enough to please a variety of tastes, and we’ve never been disappointed. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty meal or something on the lighter side, there’s always a solid selection. They offer gluten-free and vegetarian options, and there are even a few vegetable-forward and salad choices for those seeking vegan fare. It’s refreshing to find a place in the Theater District that doesn’t treat dietary restrictions like an afterthought.
Service is always prompt, professional, and genuinely friendly—even when they’re busy. It’s clear the staff are used to handling pre-show crowds, and they keep things moving efficiently without making you feel rushed.
There’s plenty of seating, and they’re able to accommodate groups of various sizes without much trouble. That said, if you’re with a larger party, I’d highly recommend making a reservation in advance. While the wait is typically reasonable, especially considering the area, bigger groups may wait a bit longer during peak hours.
As for the atmosphere, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a bustling, popular spot in Midtown Manhattan: energetic, lively, and often filled with a mix of tourists and locals discussing the shows they’ve just seen or are about to see. If you’re looking for a quiet, intimate dining experience, this probably isn’t the place—but if you’re in the mood to soak up the electric pre-show energy of the Broadway scene, it’s ideal.
All in all, this place strikes the perfect balance between location, quality, and value. It’s a reliable favorite that helps round out the Broadway experience in the best way possible. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Theater District.
Had the best meal and my daughter was able to safely try foods she’s never had before like fried pickles, popcorn chicken… the burgers were amazing and everything was safe. There are a few items on the menu in that are not gluten free but nearly everything could be gluten free and 100% of their fried chicken is gluten free! Highly recommend!
GLUTEN FREE GOODNESS!!! Just let your server know you are GF/Celiac and they will make sure you get everything GF! Most al the sauces are already GF yet they ensure especially if you order the larger family courses that you are also able to enjoy them!
This place was incredible!! They were so good about allergies. There are lots of gluten free options like their famous Dosas and the gf almond pancakes. I loved that they had juices and smoothies and tonics to start the day right too.
I love pizza. This place can Pizza. Key for me: Insanely good gluten free pizza. I genuinely was worried they gave me regular gluten pizza the first few times I ordered because it tastes to me so much like a regular pizza.
Panini Grill was a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. As someone who eats gluten-free, it was such a treat to enjoy a flavorful, satisfying meal without compromise. Highly recommend!

Ke the lead server was excellent. Thorough knowledge of what is gluten free (seemed like most of the menu), and even brought out the miso soup base to check some ingredients with me.
Great attention to detail. Lunch prices very reasonable. Food was excellent. Overall great. Perfect service. High integrity place.
Very gluten friendly - order was forgotten a couple times but gluten free frier for fries, pickle chips, fried chicken sandwiches/popcorn chicken and it was all incredible!
I would not recommend this place for allergies, especially for people with celiacs. Unfortunately, places like this are the most dangerous for people with food allergies. The menu is marked and seems inclusive, but the staff I interacted with was not aware and did not care or take note when I asked about gluten free options and said that I have a gluten allergy.
The person working didn’t know what I was talking about when I asked if the fries are fried in a shared fryer and was annoyed when I asked if she could check. She left and didn’t come back with a clear answer so, I played it as safe as possible and my food still came out carelessly on bread. I brought it to the counter and they brought it right back out without the bread. No communication. At that point I started noticed the lipstick on marks on my water cup and the jars of shared condiments where anyone can dip whatever utensils they want into it (including contaminated knives spreading on bread and back). I was grossed out. I have celiacs. These details matter. I know how to navigate menus and how to respectfully advocate for the bare minimum. It’s not clean and it’s not safe.
From GA. Wife is Celiac. Food was amazing, salted caramel shake a d pickle chips were to die for. I would share a pic, but it is just empty plates at this point. Staff were also friendly and helpful.
They have gluten free bread if you let them know when you sit down which is always a win. They don’t have gluten free buns for their famous burger but the lettuce bun does the trick!
I’m really happy with my experience at Trinity Place! The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about gluten-free options. They even have a separate gluten-free menu with a great variety of starters and main dishes. I had the tuna tartare and the salmon — both were absolutely delicious! They come with gluten-free bread, but can also be served with regular bread on the side for those who don’t need to eat gluten-free. For the main course, I had the duck risotto, which was spectacular. They also offer gluten-free drinks like beer. Everything was incredibly tasty, and best of all, my stomach felt great afterwards!
Came here on a Saturday for boozy brunch. They had a bunch of different mimosa flavors and sangria. It was fun trying different flavors. They had many gluten free and vegan food options as well. Carolyn was awesome! She was super nice and friendly!
The main meal was great, and it was terrific that all the sauces are GF. Kiddo was very disappointed however that they use gluten marshmallows for dessert. I thought those went the way of the dinosaur!
My family visited Eataly after spending the day at a few museums in the area. We were looking for a quick bite for a group of 6. To say that Eataly is an experience is an understatement. My parents are in their 80s and want to go back just to spend the day exploring the place. They said they felt they were back in Italy 🤣. From the Aperol spritzes to the scrumptious pizza to the extremely helpful and accommodating staff, everything was perfect. I must say that the gluten free pizza is hands down the best pizza I have ever had, even prior to my celiac diagnosis 16 years ago. They are very clear about warning that there could be cross-contamination. I did not have a reaction at all. It was so good I almost cried. If you’re gluten free, you know what I’m talking about. Thank you so much! We can’t wait to return when we have more time to browse😁
