Pretty disappointing experience. They were almost completely out of everything gluten free, even though they have an advertised gluten free menu, which was one of the main reasons we chose to eat here.
We decided to stay and eat anyway, and ordered our food. When we received our food it was extremely cold, and yet the steak I ordered was extremely overcooked.
All things considered, we likely won’t be back, and you should probably avoid eating here also, unless you want to be really disappointed.
Saranac Public House – Spokane, WA
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Saranac. I was dining with someone who has celiac, and we had zero issues finding great gluten-free options. The team did an awesome job.
I ordered the chicken wings with gochujang sauce (not gluten-free), and we shared the steak and potatoes appetizer, Thai chicken flatbread, and mac and cheese. All had gluten-free versions available and were outstanding. The flavors were bold, the portions generous, and the service was top-notch.
Also, happy hour is available all day on Sundays, which was a great bonus.
Great food, plenty of GF options, and excellent service. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure.
Such unique flavors and amazing tacos! They were able to accommodate to my many food allergies, including being gluten free and dairy free and I was able to have a meal in a busy restaurant without any reactions. Friendly staff who although clearly very busy, took the time to ensure the food I was eating was safe for me. Only downside to this place is that they don’t have one in Portland, OR!!
For quite a few years now Red Robin has been a great spot to go out for burgers and fries on a Friday night. And amazingly it’s not overcrowded.
My wife and I were able to enjoy a couple of burgers with bottomless fries. She is gluten free and she was able to get a gluten free burger. Their fries are awesome too and worth getting the bottomless option if you’re looking to fill up. We also ordered garlic and aioli sauce and tartar sauce, which did not disappoint!
We also liked the service as the lady was attentive but definitely not overbearing. I did like the payment system where you just pay up through a portable kiosk that sits on the table. Super convenient way to pay and get on the way.
I would recommend for you to try this place out if you haven’t been!
Variety of delicious homemade soups made daily. Offer vegetarian & gluten free options. They also serve salads, bread and beverages. You can see a list of the daily soups on their Facebook page.
Ok, so everything about this restaurant is five star! The food is exceptional, chef’s kiss. The service is crazy good ( I wish I knew the name of our amazing server, but I don’t BUT I do know he and his partner just had twins), and the vibe is perfect.
Do yourself a favor and book a brunch!
We’re from out of town and our kids from Liberty Lake took is to brunch here on our way to the airport.
I have celiac and they totally catered to my dietary needs!
I have Celiac so it is great to have a restaurant with lots of GF options. I always love having Rachelle as my server. She is so friendly, attentive and takes great care of her customers.
I have celiac disease, so it excites me when I go somewhere and see they have gluten-free options. I ordered some pasta, and it didn't taste great, very bland, and not my favorite. I had to wait more than 45 minutes to be seated, which likely was my bad. I didn't know you needed to reserve sitting, so that's on me more than them. I did end up getting really sick from the food I ate, likely cross contamination? I'm not sure, but if you have celiac disease, I would say maybe don't go here. It's not worth the risk because I had some major pain after that meal.
In both March and April we came to Celebrate birthdays, both times our groups enjoyed the pizza and had a great time visiting with each other. With our large group we got the back room, surprisingly for how many people in our group and in the rest of the restaurant it was quite, there was a little oops where regular cheese ended up on the gluten free pizza but they fixed it and made another one. Second visit was in the early afternoon for a birthday lunner ( lunch dinner) we had a smaller group, of course both parties were on a Tuesday and we had at least 1 Taco pizza . Round 1 it was devoured and everyone was left wanting a slice and thats when it was decided we had to come back in 4 weeks. Its easy to say with our group that is our favorite, couple people have done the salad bar ( not me but possibly next visit as it does look good) i cant speak on pricing as i have yet to pay or order ( my mom keeps beating me to it) i figure the price must be right for the yummy food since we keep coming back and plan to continue . We even brought in our own birthday cakes.
LUNCH STARTS AT 2PM!!! I KNOW, SUPER LAME! SO IF YOU DROVE ACROSS TOWN FOR WINGS THAT AREN'T BREADED AND IT AIN'T PAST 2PM.... WELL TO FRICKIN BAD BECAUSE LUNCH DOESN'T START TILL 2PM!! 2PM
2pm
Little peeved. That's all, I know I'm being ridiculous, but it's stupid. Also, the fries aren't gluten free, but you can get a gluten free bun. So there's that. Lol
This place has a ton of outdoor seating and a super cute balcony. Inside seating is a little bit limited but not too bad. All of our food was great! They also have super good gluten free pizza crust. Drinks were good as well and they have a nice drink menu.
Nick was a fantastic and friendly bartender! He offered a tasting of the drink I was considering and made pleasant and friendly conversation with all the patrons that he interacted with. He also remembered my name each time I approached to order another drink and gave helpful information about what menu items would be changing month to month, including which would be gluten free.
It was a very nice place to hang out with friends for a game night on the Thursday that I visited. The local run club also visits the bar on Thursdays and can get a little noisy so if you prefer a quieter space you may want to choose another weeknight to visit or arrive pretty early before the run club.
We stopped in because everything around the area was slammed and being in a new area.. it happened ta be prime rib dinner night, so my gf an I ordered the chicken fried steak an prime rib dinner plate we split them an was not disappointed at all ... The starter soup was awesome the service was amazing. The atmosphere was super great. The server that helped us not only was super friendly and took good care of us but also had a super good knowledge of what was on tap. I needed a gluten-free light beer... we left a fat tip and will definitely be back the vib was on point 👉. . .
A handful of gluten free options which is always a treat. Everything my husband and I have tried here has been delicious. Their bass and cheese burger are always a favorite.
