One of my favorite spots in Zürich. 100% gluten free and many vegan and vegetarian options. So many delicious options. I love being able to eat the cookie that comes with coffee/tea too (a rarity for a celiac!)
Finally an ITALIAN restaurant, a nice place that tastes of Italy, of southern Italy, they speak Italian, the cuisine is truly Italian, the COFFEE is Italian, the chef, basically everything!
And finally for a celiac like me you have the certainty of eating everything safely without gluten: from the first to the second courses, and the pizzas, everything in total safety... They even brought me some gluten-free bread made by them, to say the least FANTASTIC.
For all the Italians looking for a piece of Italy in Zurich, this is the right place!
Rating 10!
Not only was the food absolutely incredible, the service was amazing! I’m celiac and had the scones, slice of cake and torte… it was heaven. The staff was so friendly and helpful and made the experience so much better!!! Definitely a highlight in our trip!
GREAT gluten free and regular menu options with very good service for lunch in a lovely outdoor park setting. Wine, sodas, and beer were also very good!

Ich gehe dort so oft essen! Die Glutenfreie Pizza wird in der Küche separat von den anderen Pizzen zubereitet und hat ein eigenen Ofen. Schmeckt sehr gut und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend!
We had a relaxing lunch on the outdoor patio. It was a treat to know everything on the menu is gluten-free. My daughter with celiac loved the home-made chicken nuggets. The schnitzel was also good and the seasoned french fries. The mixed salad with house dressing was delicious, too, and they provided a small basket of GF bread that was also homemade and so tasty!
We were too full for dessert but want to go back for the GF Berliner.
Dear Anita, thank you for your warmth, and thank you, dear team, for the gluten- and lactose-free delicacies! The beetroot baguette (order separately) and the chestnut bread, as well as the brownies, are especially delicious. Thank you also for the convenient contact options via WhatsApp. 💚🙏
I was in Basel only for a few hours between a river cruise and a train to Zurich but I really wanted to stop by for some GF baked goods. I visited this location near the train station and was so pleased! The lady was so kind and helpful, she explained some of the different breads and gave us some tips for Basel. I bought a couple of brezels and rolls, and a streusel bar and a cinnamon roll and everything was great. My gluten-eating husband also liked the brezel and said it was as good as some he had eaten in Alsace this past week. The texture of everything was really good, I wish I had bought a loaf of bread to take home but I knew my suitcase was already quite full. If you are gluten free and in Basel, make time to visit this bakery, it’s well worth it! I had a completely different experience to many of the reviews here and suspect that if you are polite and use good etiquette, which means greeting in German and asking in German to speak English, you will also have a great customer service experience. Kindness is met with kindness!
A fantastic gluten-free bakery with a surprising selection and truly delicious products – we were thrilled! The staff is very friendly and helpful. A small recommendation: a coffee offer would perfectly round off the experience. We'd love to come back!
Impeccable, attentive and kind service.
Gluten and lactose free alternatives delicious and well served. Very beautiful, warm setting.
Absolutely delighted
The food (including the gluten-free option) was delicious and anything but run-of-the-mill. Vegetarians also get their money's worth. The garden terrace is lovely with its large shady trees. But the benches without cushions make it a disaster for long periods of time. The service was friendly, but totally inefficient. There were three of them for seven garden tables (the restaurant inside was empty). They stood around, preferred folding napkins to bringing us menus and drinks, and for dessert, the gluten-free sorbet had a biscuit stuck in it. That shouldn't happen with guests who have celiac disease.
We attended a baking class with Sandra.
We were able to experience gluten-free baking from scratch, from making the dough to eating the delicious chocolate rolls, cinnamon rolls, and quiche.
Sandra explained everything clearly so we understood everything.
If there's ever a cake and tart class, I'd love to attend.
...
Antonio is very friendly and competent.
Great food! There are also gluten free options! We are tourists and already here for the second time.
Perfect!!!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the Sporrer restaurant last night. The service is very nice and attentive, the food was very good. There are menus to choose from for vegetarians, meat eaters and those with gluten intolerance. We enjoyed a great non-alcoholic cocktail for the aperitif. We stayed in the evening, but during the day it has a terrace and large windows with a great view. There is also a playground if you come with children and plenty of parking spaces. We would love to come back, we enjoyed the evening.
Regarding the expenses per person: We had an aperitif, starter, main course, dessert, wine and tap water and spent between 90-100 francs per person.
Bündnerland is one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Europe! The food is beyond delicious, the service is warm and welcoming, and the restaurant itself has such a cozy atmosphere. I was traveling with my girlfriend, who has celiac disease, and the staff were very understanding and helpful. They prepared the entire Swiss Tour Menu gluten-free so that we could both sample everything. Every dish was fantastic, but the fondue and cordon-bleu were our favorites. I also enjoyed the house aperitivo. The service was attentive but not at all rushed, so we were able to have a lovely, relaxing evening. Thank you to Fabian and Bündnerland- hopefully we can come back if we are in Lucerne again!
I think it's great that someone is finally devoting themselves to gluten-free products. And we're convinced that Jackie's will take off once they refine the recipes.
Unfortunately, I have to admit that we're very disappointed at the moment. Only the (vanilla) Bundt cakes are unreservedly recommended. The nut cake and the Linzer are also okay. For the rest, there are even better frozen products in the area at much cheaper prices. The carrot cake is actually pretty inedible—it tastes like a lemon brick.
We bought a sampler for around 50 (!) francs, and the following is our conclusion:
- The biggest problem: Dough products like bread and cakes are far too dense, heavy, and contain far too much rice flour (at least in our opinion).
- The breads are as digestible as bricks.
- The confectionery, with the exception of the Bundt cakes, is unfortunately very disappointing: Neither the texture nor the taste are right. Often far too sweet, and sometimes with an almost chemical aftertaste.
- The prices are at least twice as high.
- The reason for the two stars: We were sold inedible, burnt lemon tarts. Things like that shouldn't even leave the bakery.
We'll gladly give Jackie's another chance, but regular retailers and some bakery chains in the area offer better products for less money.
Thanks, though, for the friendly service in the store. We felt very comfortable and hope to come back sometime and be convinced by better products.
Fantastic and comfortable place, close to the center. The staff is super nice and friendly and the food is delicious.
I really recommend it to everyone, since they also have some gluten free options and even a couple of vegan things!
I will definitely go there again!

I actually love Andy's Place. Brilliantly decorated and absolutely delicious food. However, it has happened to me twice now that I ordered gluten-free and ended up with the normal burger... That's more than annoying because in the end I didn't have any of the delicious food... I was apologized for. However, it brings one that very little...
So you have to point this out when ordering and ask again before you bite into the burger... otherwise you'll have a disaster... it's just a shame, because I'm generally happy that there are alternatives and you don't just have to eat salad if you're intolerance .
So all in all a great restaurant in American style with a rock'n'roll feeling. However, ordering the gluten-free dishes hasn't worked yet... at least in my case. Depending on how intolerant you are, you really have to be on your guard.
What can I say... One of my favorite places. Original dishes totally safe for us celiacs. Courtesy and availability. To try and try again. Themed parties are an original addition.
13 May, ordered sandwich in German: "einmal Joe's club Glutenfrei." I received a sandwich with gluten instead. I realized after a few bites and I am celiac so this was not pleasant. I went back in to ask if it is glutenfree and the lady at counter said I never ordered "glutenfrei". She did not come up with a solution and kept defending it was my fault. Not allergy-friendly.
This place was AMAZING. We had fantastic wine along with our delicious sandwiches, probably the best sandwich we have ever had. They are also very celiac friendly. Don’t even think about it, just go here!
