Had a very welcome but an unexpected relative in town and needed to be able to spontaneously find gluten-free lunch and was excited for that. Could share GF pizza and have salads as well as we enjoyed a walking tour of American Tobacco area.
Great place to stop for a quick smoothie, juice or snack or work remotely from! I love the chocolate covered banana smoothie and their gluten free avocado toast! Lots of allergy friendly foods!
this place is amazing! they have scrumptuous fries and tots (try them fire-spiced) and a killer veggie smashburger. their sides are gluten free and they have a gluten free bun available. duke's mayonnaise packets abound.
This is a nice clean place for a flavorful coffee. Pleased to find breakfast with fresh ingredients and pastries are delicious 😋 . Gluten free options in pastries as well.
Not good at all. Somehow the cashier thought I said no meat on my Reuben. It was fixed by putting the gluten free bread back through the toasting process and then adding meat.

Vegeterian, vegan, gluten-free, and carnivorous options. Alcohol and alcohol-free drinks, with wines, cocktails, and beers to choose from.
Kid's menu AND, ice-cream cake.
Cozy area with books to read or buy, or both; a free podcast studio - how cool is that? 😎
Oh, and with a $2 donation, you can get yourself polaroided and immortalize yourself in the wall above the bar.
Food : They have a few vegan options and at least one naturally gluten-free option. Their coffee was really good. I had a red velvet latte with oat milk. The hash browns I got (and reason I gave them 4 stars) were greasy and a bit undercooked on the inside.
Atmosphere: It is cute and comfy inside. My friend and I were able to hear each other talk with no trouble. The music was just loud enough to be distracting, maybe because I liked the music.
I can see this place being a good place to go and work and just to hang out with friends.
Love this spot. Sandwich as excellent. They were able to help accommodate my food allergies and made a sandwich gluten free, dairy free and soy free. They are a nut free restaurant. Staff was helpful. Great and plentiful outdoor seating! Parking was tight and limited but I would return!

They are always extra careful with my gluten free orders! I rarely get to eat out due to medical conditions. This location is always super friendly and has never gotten a take-out order wrong. It is such a treat to come across a restaurant with options for me. Super thankful for the awesome staff and delicious GF alternatives
Parizade was the perfect venue for our wedding! Some of our top priorities when choosing a venue included that our guests would enjoy a delicious meal and be able to safely get back to where they were staying after the wedding. We LOVE the food Parizade, and it is conveniently across the street from a Hilton hotel, so it checked both boxes.
Costs: The venue rental for our Sunday wedding was $500, plus a $5k food and drink minimum. Super reasonable.
Atmosphere: I would say the vibe of the restaurant is eclectic-Mediterranean-meets-NYC. It was very well suited for our very eclectic wedding celebration! We rented out the whole restaurant for our Sunday wedding, so we had access to all the rooms in Parizade, which each have a unique feel, but those same eclectic-Mediterranean tones.
More detail on the various rooms: The rooms include the main dining room, the board room (blue room with a bunch of gold framed photographs), the courtyard, and an additional smaller dining room (black and white checkered floors). We held our ceremony in the main dining room, cocktail hour in the back & white room, and reception in the back & white room. The board room was used for the groom crew to hangout in for a few hours while the bridal party got ready off site. This was our rainy day plan – our original plan was to have the ceremony outside in the courtyard with the very beautiful fountain.
Event coordinator: The event coordinator, Jennifer, was extremely professional and organized. She provided us with paper copies of the menu options that we could select from and gave us the run down on the price points and food & drink minimums, and ideas from what people have done in the past for events. She was very responsive to email. She also provided a list of recommended wedding planners/coordinators to work with (the venue requires that you work with one)! Jennifer, if you’re reading this – thank you so much!!
Staff: I was overwhelmed by our guests responses to the venue and the servers after the wedding. Numerous people texted me after the wedding, commenting on how amazing the food was and how taken care of they felt at the wedding! Parizade, thank you for taking such good care of our loved ones and ensuring they had such a lovely experience and meal!! My husband and I were taken care of by Misel, who was excellent- he even would find me to give me plates of food throughout the evening to ensure I wasn’t too busy to eat! The manager, Igor, was also a key person who ensured the success of the night. Thank you so much!
Food: AMAZING. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Durham (and my #1 favorite!). We have had everything on the menu, and knew our guests were in for a treat, even those with dietary restrictions. They accommodate food restrictions and sensitivities (3 guests have gluten sensitivities, multiple are vegetarian) and mark these easily on the menus. Parizade offers tiered menus with a range of price points that you select and then can offer those menu options for your guests to order from a server during the reception. We liked that option because it gave our guests a more personal experience and gave them the chance to order food they were interested in on that day, rather than having to pick a meal a month out like other venues require.
No stars would be the more accurate assessment of this location. I hadn't been to Jersey Mike's for awhile and ordered here as part of a take out family dinner. I have an allergy to gluten and ordered a "bowl" as listed on the menu, instead of a sandwich. I hadn't had this before but went from the picture which showed a bowl filled with food. I assumed (my bad) that the sandwich filling (portobello, swiss, green pepper) as on top of something in the bowl. Nope. When I got the bowl there was quite literally less that 1/2 cup of filling in the bowl. The food was dwarfed by the empty bowl. My husband and I planned to split this. We each got about 2 tablespoons of food. No lettuce (which is what I expected) nothing at all except the meager serving of sandwich filling. This goes beyond terrible service. This is fraud. Had I been there in person I would have refused and demanded a refund. Who gives customers a practically empty bowl and pretends it is worth the $10 I paid for it. .
I don't know if we had a bad experience or what, but the food was not good. The place got great reviews, so my whole family and I went to check it out. Everyone's food came out cold. My sister ordered a gluten free bun, and they brought it out with a regular bun, luckily she noticed. They took it to the back and it was another 15min before they brought it back out. Then when they did, they brought it out with tots, not fries. Not only that, but I paid $20 for a burger and fries. I'm okay paying that at a gourmet burger place, but not a bar.
The restaurant is attached to a brewery, but the brewery doesn't do flights and they won't let you sample the beer. Overall it definitely wasn't worth it. The food wasn't good, and the beer didn't save the day. Unfortunately, I won't be back. There are way better spots in Durham.
This place was a lovely find. It’s in the heart of Durham yet feels relaxing, with a cozy ambiance. The panini sandwiches were delicious, with yummy gluten free bread options, and the side salad was simple and delicious. It was the perfect place for a lazy Sunday afternoon lunch.
Speedy service, tasty sandwiches and surprisingly excellent gluten-free roll (especially when you request they toast it because ordinarily they don’t toast it for some reason, even when the sandwich calls for it 🤷♀️). Anyway, great sandwich at a great price!
