We ended up at this bakery by accident today. I hadn’t ever sought it out before because of it being vegan, in my experience gluten free + vegan baked goods aren’t the best. Boy was a wrong, I had one of the best cinnamon rolls of my life here (including glutinous ones). The service was lovely, atmosphere was great and I will definitely be back next time I am in the area, the pie looked incredible.
I do not have celiacs and am not gluten intolerant. The chicken strips are one of the best chicken I've had in my life, gluten-free or not. They were so moist yet crispy and crunchy; I would come back for just the chicken strips. But the beer too! My partner and I had three different kinds and loved all of them. If you're in the area, gluten-sensitive or not, stop in! It's amazing.
Absolutely amazing food! The burger was awesome the fries were on point. The chicken tenders were a little over cooked but lots of variety for gluten free options. The Marionberry lemonade is on point! I will definitely be back. Delicious food and great service! They even have an outdoor eating area.
Discovered this place on Tik Tok by a previous guest. Placed this on my must do - to do list to come to when adventuring on my 10 day Oregon roadtrip. Very hard to find places that are “true healthy” restaurants when traveling.
Stopped in solo 5-30-25 post breakfast hours but before lunch. Was greeted by Cash - SO NICE, great personality!!!! suggestions were made but ultimately I decided to have the Vegan “tuna” chickpea salad sandwich. I had already had breakfast but wanted a light lunch before going hiking. (Had kitchen cut in half for me to take remainder on my hike). Loved the bread (almost sure and hoping it was gluten free) that was toasted lightly but not so hard it was like a crouton. The side soup was a vegetable type soup. Wow! Seasonings were on point with the sandwich and the soup.
Bathroom was clean.
ONLY THING that had me sad was no souvenir sticker. I travel all over the US frequently and enjoy collecting stickers. I don’t need cups, shirts when traveling. Please consider getting stickers.
If I ever come back to Portland area. Hands down you will have a repeat customer coming back. Thank you!!
Friendly gluten free restaurant with an excellent selection of food, ciders and cocktails. It’s so reassuring to know they use quality ingredients and really care about their product.
My only suggestions are to have a slightly more affordable can beer selection and to make sure food isn’t too hot as I burned my mouth unbelievably bad while eating a chicken sandwich.
Choosing to sit in the bar area during a busy, rainy Saturday was the right move. We were able to immediately get a seat and service was fast despite how busy they were. I tried their gluten free beer and it was really good - so many others are terrible. My husband loves their IPAs so he was in heaven.
The only unpleasant thing was bumping into someone when I got up from the table to use the restroom. The area is small and my booty is not.
The food was AMAZING! Especially if you are gluten free. How do they get the cardamom french toast so thick? And the flavors *mwah.* I also tried the gluten free eggs Benny and it was very tasty too. Apparently there are yummy gluten free biscuits out there folks, and this is where they are hiding!
Also the location is cool too because there are 2 vintage stores right next door basically. All the staff was very friendly too =^.^=
Vegan celiac here! I’m lucky Red Robin is my husband’s favorite restaurant, because they always know how to make sure I eat well and safely. Shout out to our server Hana for tonight’s dinner! Our party had a bunch of dietary requirements and she handled it great, went back to the kitchen multiple times to make sure we all got what we needed.
The Beet Rueben, The Walnut Chorizo Quesadilla, The Utopia Dream Salad, The Gilt smoothie, Garden Scramble…Love this place! And I feel safe coming here with my Celiac Disease which is huge.
Very busy, in a slightly crowded space, my friend and I waited about 20 minutes for a table. She had the egg scramble and I had a breakfast sandwich. Sides of potatoes were good and grits excellent. My sandwich was decent, with some nice flavors, should have gotten the bacon. The scramble was huge and full of veggies. Waiter was very nice and helpful dealing with my friend's gluten issues. This wasn't my 1st time here, but 1st in a while.
This was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Everything was marvelously flavorful, with just the right blend of spice. The papusas were piping hot and perfectly crispy. The chicken strips were almost too good to be true, it was hard to believe they were gluten free, but Denise reassured me that everything was gluten free :D If I could put more than five stars I would!
Phenomenal food and service. All vegan options with consideration for those who need gluten food as well. A perfect place to satisfy that 'diner' itch without the ambient sausage/bacon stank
Super friendly and cute place. Gluten friendly but NOT Celiac friendly. I got sick off of it but mostly cross contamination. Good food and great atmosphere otherwise!
I got the gluten free BLT this evening, and it was so good! No extra charge for the GF option either. Can't wait to go back and try different sandwiches.
We brought my nephews (8 and 11) to play games. They had a blast, and so did we! Awesome service, and really nice staff helped the boys pick games to play. Our server was super helpful. The ordering system is easy to navigate, and allows for very customized orders. Lots of options for gluten free and vegan. Nut free wasn't an issue either. Food is delicious. Coffee is Stumptown (yum!), seating is comfortable, vibe is warm and inviting. Lots of cool games to borrow, and a whole game shop to buy from. I already have plans to come back with some friends!
The perfect place to take a group with various dietary needs. Classic burger and fries type of place with fantastic options for Gluten Free, Vegan, non-alcoholic and more
I had a food orgasm - after getting a tattoo next door I found this place open until 1 am! And got a no.5 with gluten free bread and I swear to the gods this is the best mfing sandwich I've ever had. Gonna be my food after tattoos for the rest of forever. Thanks y'all
The staff was incredibly kind. Being celiac and walking into a sub shop is usually a joke that I try not to make. Realizing that I haven’t had a real meal today and had class in an hour, I decided to give it a go. I got there while they were catching up from their previous rush and I had the shop to myself. This really helped the anxiety of asking for a Gluten Free meal, I know they take the time to clean everything and I always feel so bad when they’re busy.
Unfortunately I didn’t catch the name of the gentle person that made my sandwich but he’s the reason I will happily return if I need a meal in a pinch.
I appreciate the care and caution they used when preparing my gluten free sub. They thoroughly wiped down surfaces, changed gloves, used different utensils, and used the squirt bottle of mayo rather than the container on the line. And the sub was great!
One of the best gluten free sandwiches in Portland. I had a Teagan with turkey and added avocado and giardiniera. A little on the messy side, but who cares. The GF bread held together really well, and I think it was placed in the griddle with a little butter. Such a nice touch. A little pricey for what feels like a super casual spot ($20 after adding GF bread) but the flavor?? Worth it. 10/10 will be back again.
Amazing sandwiches every time!! Crispy bread, delicious combos, and super quick.
It’s a lot more cost effective to select one of their curated sandwiches than building your own.
I’ve tried their gluten free bread before and it was so good that I had to double check with them that it was indeed gluten free 😃
Fave fave fave! Absolutely wonderful sandwiches, salads, smoothies, and coffee. They have a sweet selection of well curated groceries and gifts from organic produce to gluten free pasta. It's a great spot for lunch, or to pick up a picnic to take out. Also, a neat place the throw together a last-minute hostess gift.
I've been supplementing my diet with Kure ever since I went gluten-free. I love their shakes; my body craves them! Hoping one day Kure gets a location in Beaverton because Moberi and Nekter don't cut it for me.
Glad to make it to the original Lardo. Vietnamese meatball sandwich and same as a gluten free (without the bun) on a bed for amazing fries (one of the gluten-free options). Crunchy salad was so fresh and delicious. Service was welcoming and excellent; locals were charming and friendly.

Church Bar is born again and this revival is well worth the wait! The NEW Church Bar was resurrected and opened on April 15, 2022
I am in awe of the new owners (Lauren and Anthony) for all their dedication to beautifying Church Bar!!
They have put heir heart and souls into completely updating the interior and rebranding Church.
Their attention to detail is glorious!
Their carefully created cocktail list is diverse and offers a little bit of something for everyone. They also have a wide spectrum of draft beers as well as seltzer and cider offerings. Their daily slushies are joyous and tasty!
Their food menu is great with a little of something for everyone! I LOVE everything on the menu and trust me, I’ve tried everything!! I love to start with the delectable deviled eggs and the tantalizing sacred nuts! Mercy me!
The ribletts and Shoestring Sweet Onions (V/GF) are two of my absolute favorite go-tos! The shoestring fries
are thinly sliced onions marinated in buttermilk, dredged in seasoned flour then fried, served with ranch dressing. Every time I eat them, I am certain that I am in culinary heaven.
The Fried Spaghetti Squash (Roasted spaghetti squash, herbs, mixed cheese, leeks served with smoked tomato sauce) is another favorite of mine!
They have plenty of gluten-free and vegan options available. They also have occasional food pop-up such as Trinidad and ??? Food. Check out their Instagram for PopUp info #churchbarpdx
Check out the ceiling- it’s unique representation of the Sistine Chapel!
And the bar top is a beautiful “river” of color. The new owners had it custom coded yes one more unique beautiful aspect of the newly reborn Church Bar!
The “confessional” is a photo booth. We’ve made so many fun memories in the “confessional”
Church has a huge array DJ’s that provide lively dancing music every night.
They have extended their hours and hours constantly reinventing themselves. They’ve added trivia on Wednesday nights and they have a fairly regular stream of pop up food options.
Follow them on social media for updates, special events, pop-up info
The revival of Church Bar is awe-inspiring! Huge shout out to all the friends, family and customers that continue to support Church Bar - especially during this seemingly never ending pandemic purgatory.
I beseech you to join me in helping making Church Bar hugely successful.
I have faith that their efforts will payoff in dividends and they will have faithful followers.
Eat + Drink + Repent
Time to repent!
Father forgive me for I may have drinking on a Thursday!

Cutest coffee shop! I got a cold brew with maple syrup and coconut milk. I really appreciated the barista asking me about how much milk I wanted and poured it in front of me. I got a gluten free oat, blueberry muffin that my kids loved along with a chocolate chip cookie. I love all the plants and staff was friendly!
The food at this restaurant is better than a popular competitor and also more reasonably priced. The broth is flavorful and comes with plenty of onions, green onions, and cilantro. The spring rolls are large and always fresh, with gluten-free dipping sauces available. They offer free and unlimited cool water and hot tea. My favorite lunch hack is ordering a side of broth and a spring roll for less than $10. The service is fast, the restaurant is clean and stylish, and the staff are very kind.
Kure offers a variety of downtown vegan and gluten-free options. The staff is consistently friendly, the smoothies are consistently delicious, and their breakfast sandwich is truly impressive!
For all the Gluten Free/Dairy Free darlings, look no further. While it breaks my heart to know I missed out on the $6/$7 smoothie era of this place, no place of business is untouched by inflation’s looming shadow … the smoothies are delicious, and the protein ones make for a good lunch replacement in a pinch. A quality I would liken to Best Friend in SE for sure. // Avocado toast is delicious in the texture, I just wish it had a bit more spice/salt/overall zest and flavor to it!
The owner is very kind and attentive. Helped with some gluten sensitivities and with other questions I had about the menu. It's a great small Cafe for a quick satisfying bite near the convection center!! Also omg their bagel sandwiches...
our experience here was absolutely wonderful! they are so accommodating to people with gluten sensitivities and the staff are so kind. Abby is such a wonderful girl and we have so much fun talking with her! The entire staff and atmosphere are absolutely wonderful and we will never stop coming here!
We used to love Little River Cafe. It was great place for a decent lunch on our way into town. Husband would get the BLT and I would get the Salmon Salad as I can't eat gluten and that was my only option. The last time we went my salmon was undercooked. The owner was there and remedied it immediately. I know food, and I know when salmon is undercooked. We went there last Sunday for lunch and it is likely the last time we'll go. I know we're all struggling and trying to save money but offering only disposable cups for water was the first disappointment. They used to, at the very least, have washable plastic cups. This is not why I'm writing this review. Every item in my salmon salad was old or, literally rotting. The apple slices were dry and tasteless. The salmon was dry. The avocado was rotting and sure tasted like it. The lettuce, all of it, was rotting. You know when oak leaf turns black and slimy when it's old? That was my whole plate. It was disgusting. It is NEVER OK to serve anyone rotting food. They were busy and the owner was no where in sight and frankly I didn't think the kid behind the counter would give a shit (if you ever watch Gilmore Girls think Brennen in Luke's Diner). So we left. And, sadly, we won't be going back.
Wonderful breakfast sandwiches and GLUTEN FREE option for any sandwich on the menu! Yolko Ono is the go to for sure but Sriracha Mix A Lot is also a must try!
I came in with low expectations, I mean it’s a hospital coffee shop… and was so impressed! I got the two egg breakfast with gluten free toast and ate it so fast I could take a picture! The bacon was perfectly crispy and thick, nailed the over easy eggs and the gluten free toast was some of the best I’ve had! For dessert I had a pumpkin spice latte with oat milk and a gluten free salted caramel chocolate chunk cookie. All delightful. Staff was super friendly and I found out it’s a locally owned family business. If you’re at OHSU it’s an amazing option!
Best Breakfast Ever. I am tempted to move to Portland just so that I can eat here every day. The sweet potato pancake was mmmmm so yummy. Our server Shane was super pleasant and made some excellent gluten-free free suggestions.
Love this place! 10/10 no notes.
The staff is lovely. The bartenders were great with questions and splitting my groups tabs. We spoke with the chef when he brought out our food and he was great.
Drinks- both cocktails and mocktails were great. The sour cherry lemonade was the favorite. I don't even like cherry and thought it was great.
Food- huge waffle fries with great sauces. Chicken sandwiches and burgers. It is bar food, made right, with a little flair.
Vibes- great place to hang out and it is open late.
Celiac and gluten free folks- the fryer is gluten free- you can have the fries, friend chicken (sub bun), aranchini, wings, and more.
