Absolutely loved this little café! One of the standout features is the huge range of options, seriously, there’s something for everyone. They even have separate gluten-free and plant-based menus, which made choosing so much easier and inclusive for all diets.
Now, let’s talk food, the chipotle chat potatoes were an easy 10/10. Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with just the right amount of smoky heat. Honestly couldn’t have been better. I’d go back just for those.
I also tried the Ginger Ninja juice, fresh, zingy (not too zingy), and super refreshing. Exactly what you want in a juice: balanced, punchy, and not too sweet.
Service was super quick, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had a relaxed, easygoing vibe. The location is convenient, and prices are more than fair for the quality and variety on offer.
Highly recommend checking this place out whether you’re after a quick bite, a hearty plant-based meal, or just want some standout potatoes. Will definitely be back!

Gf fish and chips with housemade tartar sauce was amazing. Poke bowl wasn't celiac safe due to soy sauce, but staff were well informed and friendly. We came back anyway for the smoothies, fish and chips and views. The playground outside is also great for kids (although partially under construction for a year).

I avoid carbs usually but I was not about to miss out on these gnocchi (and I was not disappointed). What sets this place apart is the service. Staff seemed pleased to see each other and were always on hand to ensure our special occasion went smoothly. We were allowed to taste wines (all beautiful) to ensure we enjoyed what we would order. The owner, Keiran, was ever present with a beaming smile. Of all the wonderful restaurants in Cairns, Piccolo Cucina will continue to be our restaurant of choice for special occasions.

I just went into this location and was told they do not cater to celiac. They have no dedicated fryers and everything is cooked together on the same equipment. I would not recommend eating here if celiac or have a gluten allergy.
