I took away the strawberry rhubarb pie/tart. It said gluten free but I was expecting at least a gluten free crust. The fruit was so over baked, it was puree. It was too sugary and not tart enough. The crumble on the top was very sparse. For the price, it was disappointingly a rip off.
We've been here a few times and it's always wonderful. Great food and cocktails and servers are always friendly and prompt. We love Filosophi and will continue to come here for special occasions. Thank you for having gluten free options
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner celebrating our anniversary. Our server Sara was lovely and attentive, and manager Jesse was very friendly when he popped by to make sure we were enjoying everything. The outdoor patio was quiet and a gorgeous atmosphere with overhead trellises and greenery. We loved all the aspects of our meal, from the KWV Vinecrafter house Chardonnay, to the artichoke and spinach bake appie, to chicken anastasios entrees. Kitchen was very accommodating for our allergies (celiac and shellfish). Thank you for the wonderful anniversary experience Mano’s team!

Lovely gluten free brunch! Fast and kind service, tasted good, and I didn’t get sick from contamination! Cute decorations and nice vibe :) would recommend
Great GF Chinese food takeaway and it was delicious!! The vegetable stir fry was fresh and tender crisp in a flavorful sauce and the chicken balls, ginger beef and fried rice excellent! We didn’t care for the spring rolls because they were primarily meat filled and we prefer vegetable filling but it didn’t detract from the tasty meal. We so appreciate being able to get delicious gluten free Chinese food. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for homemade soups, look no further. I have scoured that town for local homemade quality soup, and it is the one. Their monthly soup schedule is posted in advance on paper for accessibility and available online. Everyday they have 2-3 soups available. I had lasagna and it was packed full of all the chunky ingredients. They fill it up to the top, no cheaping out on you. They generously offer gluten free and vegan options. Their paninis and grilled cheese are fresh, good. Their dessert variety is lacking...only cheesecakes I saw. Their icing on random treats is bland, empty, fake tasting. Their homemade daily bread was dry, hard, with the only taste being a dusty warm cinnamon. No spreads come with their breads. Only useful for dipping in soup. When you sit in the open back on a weekday it's quiet and beautiful. Wonderful time to enjoy their art gallery. Their venue supports local artists and talent.
Pretty decent breakfast and gluten free options for my wife. The poached eggs had VERY pale yolks and were somewhat tasteless but the hash browns and toast were quite good. Honestly we prefer OEB for selection and flavor.
The atmosphere, service, and food were all exceptional. I had a classic Benny and notified them that I had celiac disease and they were very helpful in accommodating my food restrictions. We had to be put on a 45 minute waitlist, but the food and experience made it well worth it.
Stopped in after visiting a neighbouring business and had the MOST delicious gluten free cinnamon bun I’ve ever had! I don’t have a gluten allergy so I don’t often opt for the gluten free option. I never post reviews, but felt compelled to post this one.
Thank you for the best cinnamon bun I’ve ever had!
Great service, and amazing sandwiches. My favourite spot to go for a bite in stonebridge! I have an allergy to gluten and the staff gave me an explanation about how they are gluten friendly but not entirely gluten free. I am diagnosed as a celiac but whenever I get food from here it is great and I never get sick. Highly recommend!
An okay breakfast! Quantity > quality.
We stopped in for a quick breakfast this morning and ordered a latte, coffee, (gluten free) strawberry avalanche for Frannie, and a gargantuan breakfast.
The grill must have been too hot as the meats and fried eggs were scorched - not nice grill char but dark scorch spots. The pancake was missing blueberries in the gargantuan breakfast which was too bad.
The potatoes are very very disappointing… still had quite a chew to them and one side of the potatoes was also scorched while the other side seemed more raw. It would have been nice if the potatoes were more crispy than scorched/undercooked.
Just a note for gluten free, that you are charged $1.50 gluten free up charge twice if you want your French toast and included side toast both to be gluten free.
The food was fine enough, and the quantity was satisfying, but the price did not feel justified - if the quality was higher (food more properly cooked instead of quickly scorched) it would feel better but we left feeling gouged ($75 for a brunch for two feels very very high)
It was disappointing that the restaurant doesn’t have straw cups for kid - for a family focused restaurant this felt like a miss.
I don’t think we’ll be back.
Awesome! We ordered take out, and the portions were very large (the biggest we've had compared to other Indian restaurants in Saskatoon).
Everything was great! Dal Makhni, Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Chicken Saag.
The coconut rice had so much shredded coconut, yum. Unfortunately no gluten free bread options (challa) available at other places - but lots of other options. The butter chicken was obviously chicken breast cooked and cut and added to the sauce (which was tasty) but a little dry and would have been nice if it was cooked in the sauce.
Lionnel D served us!! Great host, helped out with Gluten Free Options, double checked with kitchen staff to make sure oil was also gluten free for the nachos I ordered. Food was fast, hot and great!! We will be back
We were very disappointed that you have many gluten friendly options but do not have a dedicated deep fryer, which does not allow those with celiac disease to enjoy any of your food. We went there the other day with a friend and all my husband could eat was the brownie dessert. He said it was delicious, but a meal would have been nice. I think it is high time that restaurants get with the times and offer a dedicated fryer. You seem to want to cater to those who choose a gluten free lifestyle for the "health benefits" and not to those who have no choice because they have celiac disease.
RESPONSE TO BROWNS RESPONSE BELOW: We were there for appetizers at 3 pm and we were not informed by our waitress of any options other than a gluten free bun. It would have been nice to know there was an option to bake the dry ribs and wings, which is what we were planning on ordering. If we were there for an actual meal, the gluten free bun for a burger would have been great. So, perhaps your wait staff need to be more informative and do a better job at offering all options available to those with dietary needs. Furthermore, when the manager served the brownie dessert to our table, he did not offer any other options either even though he was fully aware of the situation.
Best place for indian food hands down, very good good portions, and very filling and delisious! Staff are also very kind! 10/10 would eat here again! They also have lots of gluten free and vegetarian options!
Incredible latte (great coffee flavor, not too sweet), and ordered a gluten free breakfast sandwich (I'm celiac). It seemed like it was on a homemade gluten free biscuit? And it was INCREDIBLE - great texture and flavor, buttery, held together well and was lightly grilled. 12/10
We were very impressed with the service here. There were a lot of options if you had no dietary restrictions. My family loved the food.
I have to eat gluten-free, which limited my meaty protien options here. Unfortunately, there were only ribs and roast tonight, neither with the Asian flavor I was craving. To be fair to them, it was close to closing time. I will definitely dine here again. The green tea was delicious.
I asked about the fries ,why they are not gluten free was told by staff that it because they share a fryer . I said I'm ok with that , and ordered the fries. When I got them they looked coated so 100% not gluten free. When I asked about it they said oh it's because of the fryer, I said no because they are coated they are not gluten free . I than was told it's just a little bit of coating on the fries. I know getting the fries with sharing the fryer was a bit of a risk but being told it's just a little bit of coating makes it ok . Staff was not happy when I asked for a salad and a new burger because the fries and burgers were touching .
After seeing the reviews we went to the Star of Ishstar on Gray Ave in Saskatoon and we very pleased with the food and service. Very flavourful and lots of gluten free recommendations. We started with the lentil soup and it was amazing. Next up we tried the Dolmas, very good, Kebab Platter delicious and a ton of food and the falafels were bite sized flavour bombs. Support Local!! Our server was attentive and friendly. We will be back.
Amazing little cafe, the decor is vintage and extremely cool. Lots of historical decor, adds to amazing atmosphere.
The service was extremely high quality, everyone who works there is lovely. There were two allergies at my table (gluten and nuts) and both were accommodated by the staff.
The food was delicious. Everything is homemade in the cafe. Their hollandaise is absolutely amazing. I had their steak, it was perfectly cooked to my request (rare).
Will be visiting again when I’m back in Saskatoon. I highly recommend eating here.
Wonderful salad, awareness of gluten free, welcoming and cozy environment. I docked a star because the bathrooms don't have baby change stations or garbage pails in the stalls.
We wanted to have dessert and decided to have it at between the buns. The server, Gagan was amazing , she helped us a lot in choosing our order. She helped us pick a gluten free dish and also told us the calorie count. She is a great asset to the place. I look forward to being back again. Thanks
Calories is just such a delight. Finding restaurants that not only cater to Celiacs, but go over and above with their Gluten-Free options is hard to find. Their staff is always pleasant, and not only super knowledgeable, but also helpful in their suggestions and food information. Plus, the food tastes great every time.
This is the first of its kind in our area. I am so happy that the cafe opened up. Typically when my little attends other places the atmosphere is chaotic. Here at Baby Bean it is so relaxed and lets you and your little unwind and connect in a safe space. The food is made with love and fresh ingredients. They also have amazing baking and sone gluten friendly options. We purchased a cup from their available merchandise as well as a key chain and we’re pleased with the quality. We also really enjoyed the Halloween event and are looking forward to playtime with Santa. We attend the cafe a few times a week as it is our new go to when we need to get out of the house. The owner has created the perfect space for all to enjoy. You also do not need a child to visit. Please join for the good vibes if you’re alone. I think this is a great opportunity for the elderly to connect as well!

My daughter and l enjoyed a delicious breakfast here yesterday! I liked that they had the option to order a 1-egg Eggs Benedict which was the perfect size for me. It came with a yummy side of potatoes that were not deep-fried as well as fresh fruit. My daughter has celiacs and it had items on the menu that were gluten-free...always a plus! The service and atmosphere were great. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already!
Decent and worth the visit, we came for a Sunday Breakfast, Place was busy and food came in 15mins after we order, and not much choices for their gluten free substitutes.
We’ll definitely come back!
The food is what you expect. Decent quality and an ok variety. The gluten-free options are quite good, the buns are actually edible unlike other fast food places.
It's always clean looking, which is nice considering the area.
Most of the staff is really friendly except one guy. He refuses to serve most people, especially Aboriginals. He just stands around staring at nothing, not even acknowledging customers. It's creepy and off putting.
