From food, to service (Andrew), to management (Ricardo), they run this place like it is some fancy restaurant like Spago and that is beyond impressive. My mom and I went here on a lark and it made our day! To have an experience where you want for nothing, your drinks are always refilled promptly, and the food tastes amazing, you can't be disappointed. Then, when your server (Andrew) hears you off-handedly mention that you can't eat gluten and he realizes you ordered something with gluten in it, he stops what he is doing and has it remade so you can eat, you're going to feel like a VIP. TLDR - When you come here, ask for Andrew. He was BEYOND conscientious, kind, went above and beyond, and could willingly accommodate some dietary restrictions. If I had a restaurant I would actually woo him away from here. Good service is rare these days, and they have it in spades here!

This place is so amazingly good! I have to avoid wheat, so I ordered the chile relleno which is gluten free, their ranchero sauce is made in house, incredible! The pintos, oh so good, the service, the decor, and there are so many gluten-free dessert options, the lemon cheesecake Takes the Cake :-) thank you!

I have celiac and the menu is somewhat labeled with gluten free options, however the server was unsure about if their chips were fried in a shared fryer. I asked him to check with the kitchen and he didn’t - kept saying “should be fine to eat”. Regardless the meal I got was delicious.

The building doors looked a little rundown with boards on it, but the doughnuts oh so worth stopping in. Best of all they have gluten-free choices that my robotics team needed. Worth the extra few minutes to get there from Long Beach, CA convention center area.

Delicious food! What I appreciated most is that they were diligent in addressing a gluten allergy in my family. In addition to having allergies checkable on the ordering website, they also called me to ensure I knew that some of the items we ordered were not gluten free. It made us feel very very safe in ordering with a good allergy!

Called to find out about gluten free options and the server was more then happy to answer all questions I had and accommodate our needs to the best of their ability. One member in our party is vegetarian and we were pleasantly surprised at the variety of options for them as wel. I love the steak and eggs breakfast. It’s gluten free, filling, and delicious. On this particular morning my steak was cold and a bit tough. I could have sent it back and I’m certain it would have been rectified but I was too hungry and didn’t want to wait. Nonetheless I still enjoyed my meal. The star of the show was the vegan Trea Leches Pancakes. I wanted a sweet treat after my meal so the waitress suggested I order it as a side (1 pancake ). It was so delicious!!! It is a must order!

Such a gem! The staff is so nice and makes you feel like part of the family, they give great insider reccos for the food and are just the right level of attentionate checking in to make sure you're good. Plus, they have yummy gluten free options 🥰 def put that blended melted butter/syrup on your buckwheat pancakes!

Colombian restaurant with a small but diverse menu mainly geared toward gluten free dishes. The menu is small and simple with dishes about the size of tapas. It is best to order several dishes and share them with friends. The drink menu has a little bit for everyone with the house cocktails definitely worth a try. As for the dishes, the chicken wings and fried rice are definitely two to get. For drinks I would go with the rum punch, but be warned..it is strong and packs a wallop. Decor is nice, but sit away from the door on the cold nights.

This is my favorite bakery in Long Beach. Their pastries are very good quality and sized generously. Their croissants are incredible. I highly recommend the plain croissant, strawberry and cream croissant, nutella croissant, and pain au chocolat. The filling for the strawberry and cream croissant is the best. I believe it is whipped strawberry mascarpone. Their gluten free muffins have a nice texture. The matcha croissant is not my favorite, as it is somewhat lacking in matcha flavor. I would compare the coating to the matcha Pocky coating. As for their brunch, it is also incredible. The baked eggs are my favorite. The sauce is very good and the eggs were cooked perfectly, with bright orange yolks. It's incredibly fresh and vibrant from the bright tomatoes and fresh herbs, but also balanced out with creamy soft cheese. It's served with a fresh crispy baguette. I would recommend the brioche toast as a shared sweet appetizer. We ordered ours with a side of blueberry jam. One area that they could work on is their coffee quality. The cappuccino was quite bitter and the milk was not steamed very well. I ordered the peanut little, which is made with housemade peanut milk, layered with espresso and some milk foam and topped with cacao nibs. I would not recommend this drink because it has a strange texture. It's somewhat gritty and the cacao nibs mean you have to chew when you drink. I have also tried the banana buzz, which I found to be very watery and it did not have a strong banana flavor. Instead of ordering coffee here, I would recommend walking down the street to get a coffee at Coffee Drunk while waiting for a table for brunch, as the wait is usually over 30 minutes.

When you have a fast food craving as a vegan it’s hard to find good options and I was really impressed with this place. Everything was amazing. The “Bacon Cheeseburger”, the sweet potato fries, the organic lemon lime soda…. and the gluten free peanut butter pie was AMAZING!!! The whole menu is vegan!!

Ground Hideout is like a home away from home. I moved in a few blocks away during the beg of the pandemic ,and found this spot during one of walks. The family is beautiful and makes you feel welcome every time you come in. The drinks are delicious and creative, and they sometimes have vegan and gluten free options for their pastries!
