Everything about True Food is a delight! The cocktails were perfectly balanced and the service from James was absolutely top notch. I typically avoid gluten free options due to the texture, but the gluten free blueberry pancakes are the best pancakes I've had at a restaurant period. My partner loved his matcha horchata and farmer’s hash. I highly recommend giving this spot a try, it’s wonderful!

We ended up here on a whim the day of the fall festival. It was crowded but we were seated very quickly. The service was great and was completely unaffected by how packed it was. They had gluten free options available (even dessert, which is rare). I had a BLT on a gluten free bun AND a gluten free strawberry shortcake. I will absolutely be back.
Hot and fresh gluten-free donuts! Not sure about cross-contamination but you can choose any of the flavor combos they offer for the donuts. One donut is the perfect size for a little treat!
I found this hidden gem while using my Gluten Free Finder app. As I was checking out with all of my sweet treats, an employee asked if I had tried the gf bread-and then directed me to her favorite- the rustic loaf. I toasted some up when I got home and it is HANDS DOWN the best gf bread I’ve ever had. My daughter used some to make me stuffing (in preparation for Thanksgiving). It was way better than any boxed mixes I’ve tried. Next trip to Annapolis (I live over an hour away) I got two more loaves. The food processor s great, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and it’s a great space. I only wish I had discovered this place sooner!
Very good coffee, I find their espresso based options especially good, nothing is overly sweet (I've had Almond Joy, hazelnut, and another I can't remember). The chix salad is very good, breakfast sandwiches have lots of options for cheese and protein, and they serve the best gluten free roll I've ever tried.
The only minor negative is the eggs for sandwiches are cooked in the microwave, they are tasty nonetheless.
They do a very brisk order online-n-pickup business and I actually love it. I wish I lived near this terrific local coffeehouse chain, but I was visiting the area for several weeks and visited the Annapolis and Crownsville locations multiple times.
This place is great. The food is amazing and so is the service. For gluten free, they have many options - including the Brazilian cheese bread. The salad bar items are marked for which are GF.
Our gaucho Robert went above and beyond to make sure we had plenty of the meat we were interested in. We received excellent service from everyone else as well. I highly recommend this place. Just be prepared to leave full.
We walked in late last night because I noticed they had gluten free (GF) and vegan pizza. The owner greeted us when we walked in and was very excited to make my pizza when he found out I was vegan/GF. He was proud of the level of care and compliance they adhere to when making allergy friendly options. He told us TropQ stands for “Ty’s Recipes Zero (0) Preservatives Quality.” The vegan cheese was outstanding - melted like a real cheese pizza! I will say that the thin GF crust was charred on the outside but soft on the inside, so each slice was a bit “floppy” when you picked it up. But it tasted very good. We will definitely be back!
Great breakfast! They had both indoor and outdoor seating available, and seated us right away.
They had symbols on the menu to indicate what was gluten-free friendly. They also had dairy-free creamer.
I got the angry pig omelet and an iced coffee.
Their Gluten free Lemon poppy muffin was delicious & moist & quite large! They also had GF breakfast bowls & a GF Jam Bar that's big & looks yummy 😋 (haven't eaten it yet but looking forward to it!)
The woman at the counter was friendly, very efficient & helpful. And the place looks really nice.
And the prices were good!
Very nice bistro that helps train the lighthouse people. The food was delicious. The service was great. Prices were reasonable. They had a number of gluten free options.
We have been satisfied diners at the Carrol's Creek Cafe for several years now. We drive almost an hour to reach their location in Annapolis, so it is always a special treat for us. Their convenient parking is a breeze, but do make sure you have your parking ticket validated. Their red wine onion soup is one of our favorites, with a rich flavorful broth, but not as salty as other versions of onion soup, well worth a try. Their seasonal citrus and beet salad is my personal salad selection, if it is not available, the Carrol Creeks salad is also quite good. Their infrequent offering of soft shell crab appetizer is described as "whale sized" by the waiter but in actuality is quite modest and smaller than we would have liked for the price. Their entree selection is good, we usually go with the specials offered that evening. Their poached grouper was perfectly prepared with a moist tender texture that was excellent, the lemongrass flavoring was delicious. Their desert menu is worth a look. The Expresso creme brulee is highly recommended, their ice cream is rich and creamy with crafted flavors, the flour less chocolate cake (gluten free) is also very nice. We visit Carrol's Creek Cafe on special occasions and would visit more often if we were nearer! A great place to dine and relax with a view of the boats in the marina.

We have dined here twice. Both times we were highly disappointed. We wont be back.
Lets start with the good. The Brussels were amazing (although a little spicer the second round...yes we ordered two.) and the rock fish was a crowd pleaser. The kids burger was very large and we split it for our kids. The side fruit that came with it seemed fresh cut and had a great variety.
Now the bad...Gluten free menu online but not in restaurant. They had a few selections but they didn't seem polished with this and we were celebrating a birthday for someone with an allergy. We selected this place thinking it would be easy for them. My husband didn't like the chicken sandwich. It was thin and extra crispy. My beet and blue salad was large but not very good. The scallops were okay but very salty. Last visit our lamb lollipops were served cold but we overlooked it thinking it was because we ordered quite a bit.
We requested roof deck seating with our reservations and in the restaurant upon arriving and both times we were not successful. There was a party our most recent trip and I cant remember the reasoning for the first visit. This was a big bummer since it was a gorgeous night and there is outdoor dining right down the street. Our hostess informed us yesterday that you can't request location of seating in a reservation (phone and online). Surprising since we had but good knowledge to pass along.
My husband and I had an amazing dining experience while visiting Annapolis. Both managers Mike and Nick were so friendly and accommodating. Our waitress Taylor provided excellent service and offered great suggestions from the menu. I loved that they had their own gluten free / vegan menu. There were so many choices and my meal was perfection. There is something for everyone. My husband loved his meal and made room for a delicious dessert. The service was fast , the atmosphere great and the staff was top notch . We are already talking about going back tomorrow. :)
The food was hit or miss. 4 adults and 1 child had dinner there. 2 meals were not very good at all the others were ok. Of course the cheesecake was rich but good and I was happy they had 1 type that was gluten free.
A cozy and charming coffee spot with gluten-free options, including two types of muffins and a lemon bar. The coffee was delicious, but we were surprised that only one person was working on a Saturday morning, which made the wait a bit longer than expected. Still, the atmosphere was worth it, and the attached bookstore added a special touch. Definitely a great place to visit if you’re not in a rush.
Best quality coffee in Annapolis. No syrupy drinks here, so if that’s what you’re looking for… Instead, bags of coffee are dated, and anything over three weeks old is steeply discounted. And they carry Gluten Girl baked goods!
So glad to have this healthy breakfast/juice place in Annapolis! Love that there is a gluten free bread option. Protein was added to my smoothie making it perfect for a quick on the go meal while I finished my errands. Also grabbed the beet and ginger juice. Was absolutely delicious.
Gorgeous location, you can see the water from almost every table. We came here to celebrate our engagement and it felt lovely and special. The mojitos were meh but the food was delicious and the staff are great. I recommend the fish tacos- they can be made gluten free!
Charming!
We were in Annapolis for the day and noticed that Chick and Ruth’s was pretty busy, so it must be good! We asked for a table outside and were seated right away.
We shared a plate of nachos and got a side of their pickles. Everything was great. Our server even did some acrobatics to make sure that some of the nachos didn’t have as much cheese on so that I could eat a bit more—I have a cow’s dairy issue.
To note, there is not a lot on the menu available if you are both gluten and dairy free, but I know that’s a pain wherever I go. They certainly have a few salads, and the rest of the menu is scrumptious, stick-to-the-ribs comfort food: lasagna, pizzas, steak, wings, fried shrimp and clams, crab soup.
We love this part of Annapolis. If you do eat outside here before the cold season starts, know that they neighbor a pub that also has outdoor seating. We had some smokers upwind of us, so we didn’t stay too long.
The food here is amazing and the service is fantastic. For those that need gluten free they have many options and can accommodate some meals with changes. The Crab Hash is amazing and highly recommended.
Slightly outside of the downtown area but completely worth the walk from our hotel. Service and food was outstanding. They carefully accommodated celiac Annie and even brought out the soy sauce to show us that the scallops appetizer would be safe for her consumption. She had the filet mignon and I had the lamb shanks. We sampled several drinks and even had dessert. Awesome experience and they didn't balk to seat our 3yo son. The appetizers were the highlight of our meal.
One of my favorite healthy breakfast, lunch and pre or post workout places in Annapolis! Lots of juice and blend options, local kambucha, delicious snacks! Vegan and paleo friendly with mostly gluten free friendly options!
Don't come here if you have food allergies. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and was hoping this place would be safe since they have menu items marked gluten free and had heard things about them using separate fryers. When I came in, I made the waitress aware of my allergies and ordered a salad and the sampler platter. I wasn't sure which of the sides would be safe to eat with my entree, so I checked with the waitress and after some hesitation she agreed to check with the kitchen, came back and said the potato salad would be fine. Not too long into eating my meal, I started to have a reaction, and now, (next day) I am debilitated from whatever contamination was in the food. Very disappointed and will not be coming back.
Very happy to have stopped in this beautiful place. It’s a very welcoming and calming environment. The coffee was great. They have gluten free/ vegan pastry options which is always awesome to see. They have such a cute ordering process where they hand you a playing card and call out the playing card when your order is ready. Their message is everywhere in the cafe and on their merchandise and it is a fantastic message. Wish I lived closer so I could stop in regularly.
Broadneck Grill is incredible! They catered my wedding in October and I cannot say enough positive things about them! They were very responsive and patient answering all of my many many questions! They were also easily able to accommodate all of the various dietary restrictions and allergies that my guests had (i.e. Gluten Free, lactose intolerant, shellfish, vegetarian, etc...). The food and service were fantastic, all my guests were raving about the fajitas and the crab balls! They are truly full service, they handled all the set up and break down, cleaned up throughout the night, delivered chairs & linens, and kept us on schedule! They were an absolute dream to work with and did a fantastic job
You are a fool if you go to Annapolis and do not go to Bakers & Co. The almond croissant is hands down the best you'll ever have. Also excellent: lemon poppy seed cake, market buns, morning glory muffin, the cookies. I even liked the apple scone, which until Bakers & Co has never tasted like anything more than a crumbly gluten rock. That being said, this place is definitely expensive and I'm definitely cheap. But it's one of the few places where you actually get your money's worth. Just get here early if you want to try multiple goodies, they run out quickly.
Excellent Service and Excellent Food! Went here on a Sunday morning for Brunch and left with a Happy belly. I ordered their Killer Cake N' Eggs which was very Good. The crab cakes were incredible and their coffee paired well. They have Gluten Free options as well.
Just ordered take out for the first time. They were incredibly busy with only 1 employee. He was doing his best to fill all of his orders. I didn't order an acai bowl off the list, but instead chose to create my own, which was probably a little more tedious for him. Nevertheless, he took my order with patience and a smile. After ringing me up, he did show me the other orders that were in front of me and explained that he was doing the best he could to fill them all, but he had those to fill first and he was working alone. I understood and felt that he represented the company well by being so pleasant under stress, taking the time away from completing the orders he already had to take my order and then explained very clearly where my order stood in the line of production. As a former business owner, I was impressed. A few minutes later, his colleague showed up to help him through the rush and my order was completed fairly quickly. Despite having to wait, I would go again. The bowl was outstanding, the options for ingredients was suitable for vegan, gluten free and dairy free, which worked well for me. And the bowl was FILLED. WORTH EVERY PENNY.
Definitely a fan.

We found this in the Find Me Gluten Free app when looking for somewhere to get lunch on a Sunday. The people were so nice and they really understand gluten free. I had a tuna salad sandwich on Gluten Free bread, which was delicious. The bread was tasty and the tuna was definitely homemade and delicious. They also have a separate case with gluten free dessert items.
Fantastic menu options, and an extensive beer and wine list. The space is rich in history and very classy. Sometimes there is live music. Good vegetarian and gluten-free options as well.
