Consistently, reliably mids. I have never once had something "delicious" here, but it's never been outright inedible either. It's just consistently meh. If i had another GF option nearby, I'd go there. The dough is often either overly dry (as gluten free tends to be) or overly chewy... definitely needs improvement, especially considering the prices.
Just left this location because they wanted to charge me $33 for this same meal. I drove away and said that is crazy and went to the williamette location.
I drove up and asked about the gluten free bun and they said it was $2, which is not a good price. Later when I ordered my daughter meal, he proceeded to say gluten free burger when I never said I wanted that, I stated not gluten free. I proceeded to order my meal and he proceeded to say gluten free and I said not gluten. Then I said I wanted both the meals to have oreo shakes he said okay. He then proceeded to tell me it was gonna me $32 something and I was like I think something went wrong, can you add the shakes to the meal, I've never paid that much. Radio silence for over a minute with me saying hello 15 seconds. Then he finally answered and I said did you hear me and he said no, so I said can you put the shakes in the meals and he proceeded to ring everything up separately and tell me the price would still be $32 something. I about lost it, and said that is crazy and drove off, obviously a communication issue either with speaker or the worker. Either way was frustrating, will not be going back to that location.
This is my go-to spot in Eugene! I love the fresh-squeezed orange juice. The chilaquiles, waffles, biscuits and gravy and salads are all delicious...I haven't worked my way through everything on the menu yet but those are some of my faves. They have a wide variety of baked goods if you're looking for something quick to go. Right by the Amtrak station if you're traveling. If you or someone in your group is vegan, vegetarian or gluten free there are plenty of clearly-labeled options.
Yummy in my tummy. The staff was helpful and quick. The food options were dizzying as a Celiac. They had tons of options and local favorites all available to us. Even the bacon was extra crispy.
A++ I would highly recommend visiting and bringing a healthy appetite.
As a Gluten free person not due to celiac, I am SO GRATEFUL for their options!!! I’m a sucker for the carrot cake cupcake 😋
Service could be friendlier and faster. I’ve had to ask questions about menu items or been given the wrong item, or…when I ordered a custom cake and got the wrong cake they responded with options rather than empathy. But oh well, maybe we pay more for the item than the service at hideaway.
Either way, I think it’s the best best bakery in town and I love it!
I do recommend this place. But beware that there are cross-contamination situations that can take place, so if you are a little more gluten-free or allergen sensitive, be aware that that can happen. I'm gluten-free, and the few times I've been there, they've given me things that have caused me allergic reactions. They do take allergies seriously, and they do care, but things can happen. Their customer service from their office is top-notch.
Wish there was more seating. I had the avocado toast on gluten free bread and while small it was incredibly filling. Had the tumeric latte which was delightful and the dragon acai bowl which was huge!
DO NOT attempt to dine here if you are gluten free. Do not attempt to dine here if you want to eat good tasting, quality food that is worth your money. Expect to be creeped out by the management, hastily sat on still-wet chairs, and greeted with zero professionalism. Brunch spots can get very busy and hectic, but the way this place is run is pathetic. Get it together.
Was looking for a juicing place. Thrilled to find Nourish.
The juices here are cold pressed daily and the recipes are perfect. Green #1 and Love Your Liver (beet based) are the two that I order regularly. They are consistently balanced and delicious, not sweet or cloying, but fresh and refreshing.
The café also serves Ramen with the yam noodles that are nutritionally dense and gluten free, tacos then include pork with kimchi, and fermented dishes.
The owner is highly knowledgeable and clearly committed to high-quality food production that doesn't compromise taste or nutrition. Truly friendly service that doesn't treat you like a number or a tab.
Couldn't recommend more highly.
Idk how this place doesn’t have 5 stars. The coffee is AMAZING and the crepes are to DIE for. I’m taking everyone to this place. Also they have gluten free options, like more than 50% of menu can be GF
Noisette sits with poise at the corner of Charleston and West Broadway in downtown Eugene. Though given the French name for the humble hazelnut, this place may be the empress of bakeries in Eugene.
The pastries they had on a random Thursday afternoon when I walked in: the blackberry nectarine pistachio frangipane. The strawberry lavender Tres Leche cake. The mixed very tart with fresh cherry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberries, and two kinds of stone fruit. The coconut custard passionfruit curd which is gluten-free presented so elegantly. The yummy carrot cake sandwich. The coconut cream tart. Then you wander over and you see the olive oil white wine cake. For just $4.95. The lavender lemon tea cake. A cherry custard tart, the palmier. The hazelnut cloud cookies the pecan cloud cookie. The chocolate chunk shortbread cookie. The flourless chocolate cake. And then you see the savory options. The ham Greer on brioche buns with sweet pickles, lettuce, sweet mustard. The caramelized onion sweet red pepper leeks and mozzarella focaccia. The vegetarian savory tart which is leek, kale, artichoke heart, sweet peppers, goat cheese. But my favorite and the one I chose roasted lamb sandwich on sourdough with cucumbers, roasted tomatoes, grilled onions, and harissa aïoli. Next time it will be the mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil on baguettes with pesto. I'm not even gonna talk about the Hand pies. All this coming out of one bakery. The presentation is so beautiful. You almost don't want to eat it. And somebody here really loves their plants.
They open from 8 to 6 Wednesday to Sunday. All bakers have to rise before the crack of dawn so deserve a break and they take their weekends on Monday and Tuesday. If you're not sure what to get talk to Emily she was super helpful.
Cozy, tucked away breakfast and brunch place. Indoor and some outdoor seating. Limited hours but does get very busy on market days. Vegetarian and gluten free choices
My new favorite is the maca cacao latte with espresso. Yum. They also have fresh juice and a nice menu. I enjoy the gluten free avocado toast. It's clean and quick, with a nice atmosphere.
Mark & Lisa are amazing, the staff is also amazing! Their food is absolutely phenomenal . The atmosphere is relaxing and fun. Not a place you want to miss out on!
They also provide vegetarian & gluten free options
I was treated very rudely when I mentioned I had celiac disease. She left me to Google some things and walked away annoyed instead of being helpful. The entire place was so smoky from cooking that my hair and clothes smelled the rest of the day. The cocktails were well done although weak for the price. I will not return
Have had good experiences here in the past. Most visits are good and since we don't ever eat fast food...this is really amazing to drive up and get gluten free!!!
Today was not good. They wrote gluten free on the wrong burger...the fries were triple salted and inedible..so salty they were bitter..soggy mess for food. Usually it isn't like this so i will go again. Everyone has an off day.
We do appreciate the gf bun option though!
The waitress there, the day after Christmas, was working by herself all morning was a rockstar running the place was calm and collected while her timing was smooth and impeccable throughout the busy rush and with also a 2-bite check. Thank you for providing gluten-free English muffins. Its nice to be able to have toast for breakfast with everyone else. 😉
I love getting gluten free breakfast here. Ivy & Will are so fantastic, really a unique place in all my travels. I'm going to miss it when I leave this area!
As a gluten-free vegetarian, I enter most restaurants expecting to eat another side salad or veggie burger. Imagine my delight when most of the menu (even waffles!) was GF optional and not 1, but several items, were vegetarian. For the first time in years, I was stumped as to what to order and had to take a moment to decide. 😁
The best part? The food, which arrived quickly, was delicious! I got the GOAT and was quite pleased. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.
Thanks for being so great about dietary differences. I am truly appreciative.
Went to this subway and asked for a club with a gluten free bun and said “double toasted please” twice!!!! Even after being asked! I also asked for extra mayo and honey mustard. We leave, get home 20 min later and I’m all excited to eat and the bread is frozen like a block of ice, was not even toasted, had a streak of mayo on it and no honey mustard. I might as well been eating dry wood chips. I put it in the microwave and the bread just falls apart and I tried to eat it and almost choked on the dry bread as it flew out my mouth like dry ash! Whoever made my sub you are super incompetent!
Same great, family atmosphere. Fabulously friendly server. Reasonable prices. Excellent experience. Some more gluten free bread options would be welcome, like buns, bread, and pancakes, but they have plenty of non gluten fare. 😁
This spot is a GEM. Acorn community cafe is the greatest spot in Eugene. They make the most incredible food (vegan and gluten free) that I cannot understate as the best food I’ve ever had. I am not vegan or gluten free but it BLOWS my mind every time I go. The staff and owners are genuine, kind, and generous. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The community support they offer is unmatched. Their rotating hash, biscuits and gravy, banana pancakes, and desserts are in a league of their own. I bring everyone here who visits, because I know that it will be the highlight of their trip to Eugene. Thank you, our community is stronger because of you.
So excited everytine I order delivery, I've had their gluten free waffles once and they were delicious. Ive order then 3 times since and by the time the order arrived, my waffles were missing, the rest if the order was in the bag with a note that says "sorry we are out of those waffles :("
Gluten free food is rare and sucks hard. These people make good waffles.
I'm not ordering again it hurts to not be able to eat out when everybody else orders delivery.
Visited on 5/25 around 3:30 pm to get a gluten-free cookie. We waited a few minutes at the register for the barista to finish up her conversation with a guy at the end of the counter. I ordered a cookie and a tart, and asked if the tart could be warmed. I chose not to tip, which seemed to upset the barista as she was visibly rolling her eyes at us and appeared annoyed by that. She returned to her conversation with the guy when we noticed him pull out rolling papers, put a filter tip in his mouth, pulled out a bag of tobacco and started rolling cigarettes on the counter where food and drinks are served. We were disgusting. She dropped off my tart and went back to her conversation with him not minding at all that he's rolling cigarettes on the barista counter. Gross. We’re definitely not coming back.
(I've noted the time and date for management/health department).
Really awesome local vegan small business, super affordable prices and very kind staff. They have an option of dairy free or dairy cheeses and gluten free options also! Food is made fresh in front of you and done quickly, and they have some old school pinball games to play while you wait. Clean and comfortable seating. I got the small burger and breakfast burrito. I’m not vegan but both were awesome!! I will definitely be back.
They have NO GLUTEN FREE options. I was told to call them by a friend because they did but they don’t. The lady that picked up the phone just informed me of that.
Very friendly and awesome service!! He was out of gluten free bread so he offered to put my Reuben sandwich in a bowl and use potato’s as a base instead. He’d never done that before, but went out of his way to please his customer. Pretty cool
