Really fabulous restaurant, with soooo many vegan options - worth noting that it's not actually a vegan restaurant and therefore some items are NOT VEGAN but everything is labelled on the menu. On the day of my visit I emailed ahead to ask if they could accommodate gluten free as well as no garlic / no onion and they assured me there would be no problem. Great selection of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and a really relaxed friendly atmosphere. The vegan pizza I had was one of the best vegan pizzas I have ever tasted. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Incredibly accomodating and knowledgeable about gluten free/coeliacs and what is suitable on their menu. Even come by with a card for you to have near your place setting with “coeliac” written so no servers mistake your order.
Lots of vegan and gluten free options, which is hard to find. The mushroom toasty was done perfectly and I could happily live on the iced strawberry matcha. They weren't lying when they said they had the best, gooey brownie. Definitely recommend a visit (or two).
I’m a coeliac, and I absolutely love this spot! Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable of coeliac disease and gluten free, I feel very comfortable eating here. Eating out can often be so isolating when you have a dietary requirement, and you’re often confined to just getting a drink, or something really plain, but not at Four Ate Five! The menu isn’t clearly labelled with allergens, however upon speaking with staff, many of the options are gluten free or can be made gluten free. I ordered the Shakshuka and advised I was coeliac, and staff confirmed they could make it gluten free by swapping out the gluten bread side for gluten free bread, and would take extra measures to reduce cross contamination with the toaster. Obviously there is still an element of risk as a coeliac, as it’s not an entirely gluten free kitchen, but I feel fine each time, and confident in the staff and kitchen. The juices are also delicious and freshly squeezed. I absolutely love this spot, and will continue to take visiting family, friends and loved ones here, to enjoy an amazing meal together.
Delicious food. Friendly service. Great ambience.
For a group of 8 we had the banquet and had more than enough, with leftovers to take away.
Added bonus, we were confident they understood what "coeliac" was, with a dedicated fryer and prep space!
Oh...and really good cocktails too! We will definitely return.
Variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options. Great portions for 2 and delicious drinks, especially the house-made pineapple-lime soda!! 💛
I'll definitely be back to try the cocktails 🍸
Long term customers with an ever evolving menu of deliciously fresh, aromatic flavours. Couples, families, friends it’s a guaranteed great meal every time. Menu a little confusing for celiacs. Items not clearly listed GF.
Cool atmosphere, kind and welcoming staff, well prepared on food allergies (I’m celiac) and great food. It was a perfect Saturday date with my husband! A special mention to Veronica, the restaurant manager, for taking care of us during the dinner and beyond her duties: it was our first time in Sydney and she gave us very useful advice about the city. For us the place to go when in town!
Gluten free and vegetarian options avaliable. We had a toasted sandwich each and a side of chips. Good portions and delicious. Happy hour between 4-6pm. Aperol Spritz for $10, nice and strong! Lovely outdoor seating and attentative staff.
Veggie and gluten-free friendly. Amazing food and very friendly staff, the vibe is like, everyone is happy to be there either enjoying a meal or working. Keep it up guys!
Exceptional pizza place. Crispy, thin and Roman style. And the big news is they have gluten free pizzas and pastas. The owner was in the open kitchen and cooking with passion. My friends told me that he is a well known Italian Chef Luigi Esposito. I had GF Capriciosa without ham, it was one of the best pizzas in my life and best panzanella salad ever. I think its because the chef's love of cooking. My friends (3 boys) ate all the menu😀🙊 they loved everything. Had an ıtalian white wine. Lovely place. Tuesday's off. Weekends 12pm to 10 pm. Other days 5pm to 10 pm. Ig you wanna have a real pizza. Go there.
Visited for the first time on new years day. Staff were super friendly and greeted us with a smile and a ‘happy new year’ greeting which was nice. We sat near the window and ordered via the QR code on the table. We both enjoyed the pita breads (gluten free and wholemeal low carb pita) & dips (tzatziki and eggplant). We will return here for another meal when in the area again. They are located only a short walk from Central station on the Woolworths side.
We loved this place. Good vibe and a sense of the food being made with love and quality ingredients.
Service was fresh and friendly. Mr S thought his eggs Benedict was top notch and I really enjoyed my dish - with very nice gluten free bread.
Sweet and cosy cafe with high quality food, beverages and amazing customer service. The staff provided us with a blanket when it was chilly outside, and answered all of our questions about the food, including whether items were gluten free, as one of us is coeliac.
They even pulled up an extra chair for our little pup at our outdoor table, which was very kind. When it started pouring down with rain, they invited us inside and set up a table for us to keep dry. We are in love with this place after stumbling across it today, and will definitely be back!
My friend and I were taking a noon walk, passing by this beautiful restaurant in Surry Hills. The atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful. Mishy greeted us, led us to our table, and handed us a very sweet, fresh slice of watermelon.
The dishes were beautifully fresh and very healthy. If you order a salad, I would recommend adding cured ora salmon; it's delicious. Before I left, I took away a pistachio gluten-free dessert. It was just the cream on top of the cake. I would definitely come back again :)
Beautiful meal and ambience. We sat in the more formal side of the establishment at the bar.
Appreciated being able to eat food of this standard at 4pm on a Saturday. They cater for gluten free and have a decent selection of mocktails.
What a vibe in this coffee shop 🤩 staff is super friendly, food is amazing (you should try the home made falafel 🥰), decoration is cute af.
Above that, they got some vegan and gluten free option 🙏🏽
Come here nearly every day for lunch. Beautiful food, prices, staff and owners. Very accommodating and welcoming. Highly recommended! My favourite is the rissotto which is also gluten free

Absolute treasure of a little cafe/sandwich, salad/rice bowl place catering to vegans, vegetarians and gluten free folk.
STAFF: Down to earth, super efficient and happy to make pretty much any combo of rice/salad bowl or sandwich you can imagine!
MENU: Great selection of salads, varied cheeses, meats and sauces all available at a beyond reasonable price on delish bread or rice/salad.
LOCATION: 5 minutes walk up from Central Station and with some street parking (most of it is metered and there's not a lot).
ACCESSIBILITY: I don't believe they have a toilet on site (it really is a hole-in-the-wall kinda place, however it is wheelchair accessible with a serving window down lower for those on walkers/in wheelchairs etc.
OVERALL: Highly recommend!
Lovely authentic food. Most choices are actually gluten free which was a bonus for our party. Unique flavours, vegetable hopper, the cauliflower, the softserve and the coconut pudding were standouts. Only complaint is that the table we were seated in a corner facing the street was really drafty and cold on a rainy evening
