This place was hands down amazing! Everything we ate was phenomenal. Coeliac heaven and just amazing. Everything inside the shop was so unique and well designed. Please come and open a shop in Melbourne- we would love you!
A girl called Shaila went through the menu with me and helped me sort through what I could eat as someone whose allergic to gluten. No complaints, will be coming back soon!
Had breakfast here with my family.. I have coeliac disease.. it was delicious!!! Would definitely return back when we are in the area! Highly recommend!! A beautiful atmosphere aswell! 👌
Terrible service. Staff running around, trying to find tables and orders. Took 15 minutes to get a glass of water
I placed an order at the front counter, staff missed they I asked the burger to be on Gluten Free bread. Then made me pay the $1.50 extra.
No serviettes on the table
Asked for the sauce that I asked for with the chips, to which they also said that I would need to pay for the sauce as it wasn’t put through the order either.
Finally got my burger and had paid for cheese. Got no cheese. Asked for no onion, got onion. Staff had no care factor. Won’t be back
I left feeling extremely disappointed with the experience. The food fell well short of expectations, especially considering the price point. The gluten-free bread seemed store-bought, highly processed, and noticeably poor in quality. It was served with just half an avocado and a few mixed lettuce leaves — a combination that hardly warrants a $20 price tag. It’s unfortunate, as I had hoped for a far better standard.
I am not someone to write negative reviews, however we were so disappointed with our experience here. I had really been looking forward to going, as I had heard great reviews from when they were in Mooloolaba..and as a person with coeliac disease I always get excited with wholefood cafes that have a big range of GF fresh food. The menu looked good online. I was disappointed with the rainbow bowl I received..the purple cabbage & stir-fried vegetables unfortunately weren't fresh & almost looked to be out of a supermarket package. There was a tiny spoon of quinoa drenched in a sauce. The mushroom on top was nice, however that was all I really ate..& I am someone who almost never leaves an empty plate :( Maybe our expectations were too high, or we just happened to come on a bad day, but we unfortunately won't be going back sorry.
Absolutely love the Coca Bar!!
The food is amazing, with plenty of gluten free options available.
They have the best coffee on the Sunshine Coast and the staff are awesome!
Average and overpriced.
5$ charge for one mushroom , burnt coffee, dirty cutlery, eggs Benny has two options to accompany them, I chose mushrooms, and the chik at the counter was also charging me for this as well, but when I mentioned the menu Includes the item, she was good to remove the charge...
I mentioned I was celiac, and they didn't know what this was, so this was concerning to me 🥲 despite this, I was fine and the flavours in food were pretty yum
View is nice and relaxing, good spot.
Food is really good and fresh. I really recommend the orange and almond muffins they are gluten free, and you would never know that as they taste amazing.
We arrived at Market Bistro with the intention of celebrating a birthday, which the staff had been informed of prior to our arrival. From the beginning the service was off; the man that led us to our table seemed to dislike us for some inexplicable reason. We waited for quite some time to have our drink and food orders taken.
When the drinks arrived, the did not ask who ordered which drink, instead placing the drinks in front of the wrong person, and mocking us for the issue whilst we moved our drinks to the correct person.
Our entrees arrived about 30 minutes after we received our drinks. Again they handed the entrees to the wrong people, and seemed annoyed at us for the issue.
We waited patiently for our mains, which took far too long to arrive. Both tables on either side of us arrived 30+ minutes after us, with the same number of guests, and yet were served their entrees and mains long before us.
We were there for over an hour and a half waiting for our mains, and yet did not receive even a refill on water, and we were ignored the entire time.
Throughout the meals, we were not offered more water or drinks, and we were not asked how the meals were or if we needed anything, whilst the tables on either side of us received such service from the same waiter.
During our meal we had a number of bugs flying into our drinks and food (we were inside) including a moth and a fly.
We also saw people receiving birthday services such as cake, whilst we were not offered anything of the sort.
The food was sub par at best. The mains were bland, the chargrilled octopus was far too chewy, the potatoes were far too fatty. We also ordered a meal gluten free, however the member of our party who consumed that meal soon fell sick as there was obviously some kind of gluten in the meal. We also saw staff tripping over chairs and hitting customers on the head as they passed.
Once finishing our mains, it was difficult to get the attention of any staff member to get our bill. When we finally received the bill, we had to double check that we had not been overcharged as they attempted to serve us certain sides twice.
During the entire experience, we felt ignored and discriminated against. We were the youngest people in the restaurant and frankly, it seemed that we were being discriminated against and underserviced purely because we were young, and they assumed we did not have the money to be their, despite there being a number of other guests who were dressed far worse than us.
When went to the desk to pay, they assumed we would be splitting the bill, which honestly felt like an insult. At no point were we asked how our meals were, or how the service was.
We spent $365, which was paid on a single card, as frankly we have more than enough money to do so, and yet the entire time we were treated as if that were not the case. They even questioned if we really wanted what we were getting due to the prices.
Never in my life have I received such disgusting, discriminatory service, and I would never recommend this place to anyone. If I could give 0 stars I would.
I'd love to know the genuine reason for such behaviour, as it was completely unwarranted and unwelcome. Such a poor way to celebrate a birthday and finish off our holiday.
I needed a gluten free, dairy free take away sandwich. It was absolutely no trouble for the lovely waitress who took my order.
Sandwich arrived quickly, was as per my order & delicious.
Thank you Shingle Inn Sunshine Plaza for the excellent service & looking after those of us who can't just pop into a standard take away place for a meal, due to allergies. Life saver!

This place is a little on the expensive side however, it ticks all the boxes for a great overall experience.
Food, service and atmosphere are impeccable. Serving sizes on dishes are huge...
It does get busy on the weekends however, I enjoy a week day as there is always plenty of seating. Plenty of parking.
Gluten free options available... and coffee is always consistently good!
Came across this little gem of a cafe by accident and now I can’t wait to go back. Wonderful service and delicious food - especially as they easily catered for gluten free and vegetarian requests. Thanks!
We visited the cafe today with a group of adults living with disabilities. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We were offered a biscuit straight from the oven at no additional cost and when staff were informed that one of our clients could not eat it due to safe eating requirements, they found something that she could have so she was not excluded. Such an inclusive practice and was so amazing to see! Also, their gluten free brownie is delicious 😋
Sip is easy to get to, good parking available and it's very pretty and open inside.
There's a great selection of both traditional and more unique drinks. I ordered a matcha and it tasted a bit odd, as though there was ginger powder in it so not sure if that's standard or maybe they almost put in the wrong drink?
The menu has a few unique dishes too like the sweet potato with chilli jam and many traditional meals like eggs/bacon/sourdough toast. I found it a bit difficult to find something gluten free for lunch though. I have lots of allergies including garlic which made it difficult as well. I ordered a toasty but unfortunately it had garlic (as did all the flavour options). My fault for not asking though, so I went to buy another meal and the frittata looked good but again had the garlic aioli.
The chef came out to help and all the staff were super helpful and went above and beyond to find something I could eat, and offered me a freshly made frittata slice without the aioli, free of charge.
Really appreciated!

Great service, great coffee and they do gluten free bagels!!! Best news I’ve had in ages! The music choice was also amazing when I was there. Keep it up legends.
Wow, amazing coffee, the most delicious caramel and chocolate Anzac biscuit and the staff are just lovely. This is definitely going to be one of my go to cafes from now on. Also have a great selection of Gluten Free options.
