HUGE gluten free menu and absolutely delicious. I had the steak sandwich which was so yummy and smooth. The service was incredible and the view is great if you enjoy people watching. Definitely recommend for a nice lunch in the city centre.
I love going to The Lounges because of their huge gluten free menu. Ive been to a few and this did not disappoint. The food was great, a wide variety of gluten free options with a dedicated menu. The cocktails are always great and it's a nice cosy atmosphere. The staff are always friendly too.
The food was amazing. The resturant was clean, a lovely atmosphere and caters for gluten free.
The staff were lovely and professional, thank you to Aron for suggesting what I could eat due to a gluten allergy.
I definitely recommend this resturant
As with many Lounges this is a must visit!
They have an extensive gluten free menu. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. Always order at the bar to ensure they can put it through as an allergy order.
We had brunch & the food was amazing.
I had a veggie breakfast and every item was hot & delicious. Same for the avo and eggs roll.
The gluten free options were a stand out too, able to swap items to allow them to be served gf.
I added beans to the breakfast to make it more of a 'full English' as an extra but for the price would expect these to be included. That's my only constructive feedback really as was an amazing breakfast for both dishes.
Absolutely fantastic experience at Bill's in Cardiff Bay.
We turned up without a reservation and despite the place being quite busy, we were seated promptly and drinks orders taken quickly.
I'm Coeliac which means boring gluten free dining, but in Bill's there is a whole gf menu so I didn't feel left out. I had the Fish Pie and Banoffee Sundae, both of which were different from usual gf options.
They also did a gf IPA which I wasn't very keen on but nice to have the option.
We were served by Gabriel. He's an absolute treasure.
If you're gf, you should deffo give the place a try!
Nice chain restaurant. Staff were friendly and considering it was an event night and they were packed, they were attentive.
Impressed with their allergy process, the manager took my order, they were all aware and they informed and helped me rather than gave me a massive book to look through.
Super impressed they had vegan and gluten free fajitas, which were yummy. Very nice Pina Colada too.
Over all a thumbs up for allergy awareness, food options, atmosphere and service. The only improvement would be to have vegan sour cream
I had lunch today at the Waterloo Tea, I am Gluten and Wheat free, and the staff really looked after me, explaining the menu and options and assuring me gluton free was no problem, the poached eggs I had on toast were loverly, and I even tried there organic cola which was nice as well. Looking forward to taking my wife there for something to eat, please thank the staff who were on today for there helpful and caring ways.
We ate there last Wednesday - the food was very nice and the service was very good.
Mario and the kitchen team paid attention to my colleague's complex allergies and made a meal that was adapted for her. There are lots of chain restaurants in the Bay, but we came here because when I was phoning around to see who could take a group of 12 and handle one person's allergies respectfully without making her look demanding in front of new colleagues, Mario answered the phone and demonstrated what professional customer service should look like. He knew immediately what Cote's team would be able to do and didn't over-promise but gave me confidence that my colleague would not be left hungrily watching people eat and would not be made to feel bad for having allergies. I had been unpleasantly surprised that other restaurants did not respond as kindly as Mario. My colleague said Cote are usually pretty good, including a good gluten free menu.
The food was well presented and well seasoned and the other staff were attentive too. Bottled water was a bit pricey. The restaurant was easily accessible for my colleague who cannot use stairs as it is quite well spaced out and flat.
Lyn was very helpful and lovely. She was very attentive. We all had the bottomless tapas and the selection was good and food delicious. They are very knowledgeable about Gluten Free and don’t make you feel awkward ordering for a special diet. Highly recommend this restaurant for food and drinks.
beautiful restaurant lovely interior!! And ok service. However as a someone with celiac disease I was incredibly disappointed with the options for food - which weren’t just greens. I was so exited as they advertise for gluten free being really good, however the options were extremely limited… when phoning up they said they can make the chips gluten free however, the waiter told me they weren’t and they don’t change the frier, so it would be cross contamination. I think it was off putting as someone who can get extremely poorly with having gluten it didn’t seem as though they knew what to do with the information of being gluten free. We were also charged for water which we didn’t ask for originally:
- I would just say if your gluten free you can only eat the salad of the 2 course menu which is £19.85.
- we also did get charged £70 pound for a meal that was meant to be £48.
Although the food for gluten free wasn’t great. All in all the restaurant itself was beautiful and such a lovely atmosphere- and there were some really helpful waiters who took pride in helping customers.
But a beautiful building and very photographic
Had a lovely lunchtime meal. As always they handled my gluten-free diet perfectly and my other half’s vegan diet. The staff were very friendly especially Dean who served us expertly. Thank you for a great meal.
The burgers are just delish!! I’m gluten intolerant and my girlfriend takes on board eating gluten free meals too when we’re out (so we can share).
I absolutely love trying the food that i haven’t seen anywhere else. The gluten free korean fried chicken burger. IS A MUST TRY. the iced lattes are just another level. I really love hudo lounge and the staff… THE STAFF. are just incredible, they’re not too in your face, it’s very much we’ll let you actually enjoy your food.
Recently stayed at a Marriott hotel in Cardiff which was very pleasant but the breakfast experience was excellent. I am coeliac and asked Paula to help me with gluten free options. She was amazing and talked me through all the options and made sure I had everything I needed. She did it in a friendly way making me completely confident in what I was ordering. She went the extra mile. Paula is a real asset. Thank you Paula.
Ate here for the first time today (Saturday 22nd Feb 2025) the restaurant was clean, staff were very helpful and the Gluten Free Menu was very good. Recommend
Used to be a really good selection for gluten free but I haven't been here for a while. It's much more limited and now only 2 options available. Big shame.
Service was very slow even though it was very quiet. The person before us left because he'd Waited so long even though he'd paid. I ordered fries which took half an hour to come out and were cold. Won't be returning.

Absolutely fantastic service from Jorja, friendly and helpful. As a celiac it's always awkward eating out, but our order was taken with no problems. The menu was straight forward and easy to navigate.
Would definitely recommend to anyone with allergies.
Great food, welcoming service, huge variety for limited diets!!
When planning a trip to Cardiff my partner and I were looking for somewhere for lunch that could easily cater for her dairy and gluten free diet. This came up as one of the options so we took a chance on it. This turned out to be a good move as this has rapidly become a destination place for us (even if the rest of Cardiff is jammed up due to the rugby! 😅)
All dietary options are clearly marked on the menu and new dishes have recently become available adding to the choices. There is even a vegan lassi option, which is superb!
I required a gluten free afternoon tea and the staff provided me with a lovely selection. The venue has a great nostalgic feel. The staff are very accommodating and helpful.
Slight miscommunication, but that was as much my error as theirs. When I booked I explained that I was gluten free but that my daughter wasn't. I assumed we would get half and half gf and ordinary but everything was gf. This was fine for me but not so good for my daughter.
The staff member who served us offered to make her some ordinary sandwiches but she didn't like to cause a fuss at that point.
We both enjoyed the breakfast tea. We had the whole of the upstairs to ourselves which felt quite special too.
I will definately go again and I would recommend to others as a great place to go with good quality food and helpful friendly staff.
Lovely vibe here, with plenty of staff: busy but not overcrowded.
Sunday lunch is superb. Anna, our waitress, was so engaging and genuinely interested in her job. Gluten free options were clearly explained and every effort had been made to adapt items by changing coatings rather than just 'leaving things out'.
Fishcakes were tasty with mild curry sauce. The lamb roast was perfect size and cooked to perfection (rare lamb, just as it should be). Divine roast potatoes...
Lemon posset dessert was tangy with British strawberries.
This is a top notch restaurant in a trendy location, fabulous friendly service and very moderate prices. Will def. be back.

Amazing food, great hospitality and an all round lovely Greek experience. Will definitely be returning.
Catered to mums gluten free really well, knew exactly what to do.
Wonderful tapas lunch with plenty of gluten free options. Staff very helpful and friendly.
If I could change one thing, it would be to make the 'fish of the day' a simple dish with oil/herbs rather than in batter which excludes coeliac. We loved the Artichoke and Boquerone dishes in particular.
We went here because the online menu has clearly labelled vegan options, which were replicated on the printed menu we were given, once seated. However, when I started to discuss which dishes were vegan with our server, he said they offer vegetarian, but not vegan food. I pointed out their key at the front of the menu that indicated veggie/vegan/gluten free options. He said he'd worked there for 3 years and nobody had ever asked for vegan food. After going to check with a chef, he returned to inform us the chef could make vegetarian dishes but couldn't guarantee that any would be vegan, despite what the menu said. We thanked him for his honesty and left without ordering. I fully support any restaurant's right to not provide dishes to suit specialist requirements but it bothers me that the menu offers apparently false reassurances of dietary options that aren't reflected by the serving staff nor the chefs.
My husband and I eat here regularly. I prefer gluten and dairy free food and there’s a good selection of choices on the menu. Staff are brilliant, always welcoming and attentive. Food portions are generous and we love the regular offers making it very affordable. Can’t fault Prezzo in Cardiff.
Lunchtime today we were a party of 14 celebrating 3 70th birthdays. Kacie, our waitress was very patient and understanding, taking extra care with the gluten free meal. She was very pleasant, friendly and patient with such a large group. The restaurant was quiet so we stayed at the table for well over the 2 hour slot allocated. At the end of the meal a special dessert with a candle was served. There was no mention of 70th birthdays when I booked so Kacie must have realised when we sang Happy birthday. Thank you Kacie - highly recommend your waitressing skills
We moved to Cowbridge Road East a few weeks ego and I need to tell you it's our favourite pizza so far. We tried 2 other places first, but Calabrisella is way better if it comes to pizza choice. I have gluten intolerance, but I felt ok after (which I always do in Italy after pizza) so from time to time I will treat myself to their pizza for sure. Highly recommend.
Went here as a big group for dinner and Chu gave us the best service ever! He was so attentive with drinks and food making sure everything was alright which probably isn’t easy for a group of 15+. Rhi the manager was also fantastic as we had allergies on the table and she was incredible in making sure we weren’t left out. Highly recommend and great for gluten free!
100% Gluten Free Coffee shop
Huge range of delicious cakes, blondies, brownies, cupcakes, cheesecakes including a wide range of plant based also!
You can order breakfast, brunch and lunch options from porridge, avocado on toast, panini's with a choice of gorgeous fillings.
it's absolute heaven! I am a regular here as it's just so refreshing to feel so safe and have such choice!
Super busy when we went, but the staff were *EXCEPTIONAL* regardless of how stressful it must have been. As a table for 6 we were kindly warned about the wait time but were given our drinks speedily and our food came out within the time frame they gave us.
It was also a dream as a coeliac! I adored the chicken club sandwich (a beast of a sandwich. good luck trying to take a bite without having to dismantle all the layers.)
I highly recommend this gem. 5/5 and thank you to the girls and their amazing service. :)
I enjoyed the Belly Pork slow cooked. Absolutely fabulous. I am gluten intolerant and my meal was adapted to suit my dietary needs. Will definitely be visiting again.
This place used to be a literal heaven for gluten free people. I went last week and the menu has changed. The only "gluten sensitive" options are on the Vegan menu, and it's all very confusing!
Our choices are limited to the Sundaes and the Waffle. No sauces for the waffle are marked as GF (or GS) so I had a very sad crumbly waffle with just ice cream on top!
Definitely not going again!
I am well overdue writing this review which has been hanging over me as Dolce Vita went the extra, extra mile for us and hosted the best hen party for my friend! I'm sure as many people planning hens have come across it is hard booking a private venue/area to have dinner for a price per head and this can get tricky if people understandably need to pull out etc and the price goes up for everyone (and so on and so on.) Also, a base cost to hire is often very expensive!!
Anyway, I called Dolce Vita to enquire that if we were to arrive late enough on a Saturday, we might be able to hire an area of the restaurant, and also asked if we could bring a drag queen to host! I thought this was a massive long shot, but nothing ventured, nothing gained! To my surprise, the lady I spoke with was very open to the idea and also seemed excited by the prospect! She agreed to a set menu price per head which included a starter and main each and shot of lemoncello and this was very reasonable. She understood that our numbers may change slightly and within reason in the run up, and we locked it all in the week before.
The food and drinks were DELICIOUS! Great portions and very reasonably priced, also lots of options for our vegan and gluten free guests.
Our drag host then arrived (who was AMAZING) and we did a lot of terrible dancing and even worse singing. The staff not only tolerated us but also sang and danced along for some of it which was really fun! They were also very understanding when our 'one more song' turned into 3.... 🤦♀️😂😂
Basically, we can't thank Dolce Vita enough for hosting such an epic night. We were looking for a drag brunch initially and I'm glad we did this instead as it was SO much better and more intimate!! Dolce Vita's commitment to working with the customer and accomodating and fun nature are a credit to them. Thank you again Dolce Vita! 😊👍❤️🍕
