Fantastic all round! Lucy was very friendly throughout and provided great service, alingside the relaxed, welcoming vibe of the place. Food was delicious and arrived quickly - they also do a dedicated gluten free menu with plenty to choose from.
We had a fantastic evening at Bistrot Pierre. The food was exceptional as was the service by our waitress Ells. This restaurant has impressive sea views and caters very well for gluten free / coeliacs.
This is my favourite place to eat in, or get a take-away lunch. Fresh healthy salads, beautiful gluten free cakes and a friendly service. The seating is comfortable, the decor really tasteful and it's just a great place to be.
Really looking forward to hosting Monday morning Mindful drop-ins starting on 14th April.
Living locally, I have been here several times as it is walking distance from our house and has an amazing view. I am coeliac and need to follow a gluten free diet. I have eaten here three times. Every time I have suffered afterwards and so no longer eat here. I checked before I ate every time and was told my choice was gluten free or adaptable etc. Be very careful if you are also gluten free/coeliac. There are safer options in town.
Almost unbelievably delicious food, and such a wonderful surprise to find such a restaurant in Eastbourne! I was so grateful to be able to eat allergen-free in such an intimate little place, so close to the sea and my hotel: Tim and Kitty were solicitous and friendly hosts, and what they prepared was out of this world good! I sort of hope it doesn't become too popular (though it should) because it is so cosy and cute. My nut roast and veggies, and the cheesecake (gluten-free as well as vegan) were so very flavourful, just up my street, and the quantities were very generous for the prices they were. An outstanding experience...I'll be back, whenever I'm in Eastbourne!

Super welcoming, really lovely thoughtful team, and delicious food. You can taste that it is fresh and homemade.
They were happy to adjust things to accommodate gluten free and dairy free dietary requirements. I'll be coming back regularly!
We like doing here when we are out walking the dogs as plenty of outside seating, some with shade. The is also seating inside. Good value for lunch and coffee, nice selection on the menu. They do gluten free options too.
Although I have given this place 5* for food that is only true if you consider ice cream a food.
Service was excellent, was being served by a young lady almost as soon as my party stood at the ice cream counter.
She was attentive and patient as there was 5 if us, my great nephew being gluten intolerant, and was great that they had a full list on the wall showing what ice creams he could have. They had quite a few!!!!
The flavours were many and varied, although a bit short on any sorbet ice cream.
The lady took her time, making sure she rinsed her serving tool between scoops.
As for the atmosphere, the place was pretty full, inside and out as it was a hot sunny day.
All in all, a great place to go for food and especially for ice cream.
If I have any negative about this place it would be lack of parking places, but then it's Eastbourne seafront and very very popular.
Beautiful cafe/tearoom. Lovely art deco building. The staff were super friendly. The hot chocolate was divine as was the lemon cake. They also had delicious gluten free options for my friend. We had a lovely time and will definitely be returning. Thank you 🙏🏼
Wonderful service with super friendly and efficient staff. Lovely bright interior and great range of options. Many vegan options and I had one of the tomato, mozerella and pesto paninis with gluten free bread, and a gluten free almond and raspberry slice. Both tasted incredible, as did the turmeric lattes and matcha lattes 😍 will definitely be back!
Nice café with a great selection, especially if you want it to be vegan and gluten-free. The staff are really polite and thoughtful. We come back every time we are on holiday in Eastbourne.
Great (strong) coffee, soya and oat milk for my other half as well as vegan and gluten free options on the menu together! Usually it’s one or the other. Lovely people and very kind.
We've just had a really lovely lunch here. The food was beautifully presented and really tasty. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Dogs are welcome. Food can be adapted for gluten free. Definitely worth making a trip to eat here.
I ordered the spaghetti marinara and told the waitress that I am dairy free. When the food came, she said that the chef had got confused and given me gluten free, too. As my partner's food had come too, I chose to accept my food although I generally dislike gluten free food, so we could eat together. The pasta was over cooked so it disintegrated on the fork, the seafood was overcooked and it was swimming in tomato sauce. Service was poor; the bread (toast??) and not extra virgin olive oil came with the main dishes and we had to get our own cutlery from the cutlery station. It was a below par experience and not worth the money we spent.
Lovely appertivo & live music on a Saturday evening. Lorenzo very kindly pointed me to what could be adjusted to be gluten free - we had a lovely grazing board of charcuterie such as mortadella & breseola, cheese, pickles & salad. We’ve recently been to Bologna, where a spritz and Italian meats is part of their culture, so it’s wonderful to have this addition in Eastbourne!
Hopefully as Signor Panino grows there will be a set gluten free menu, but in the meantime, Lorenzo is more than happy to chat through options.
Looking forward to my next visit!
Came here on the second day of opening, for breakfast, and were truly looked after. Staff all very attentive and polite, the resturant was light and airy and the tables and chairs all very comfortable, sturdy and fit perfectly with the aesthetics. Food and drink is a fair price but the quality superb, even the gluten free options were tastier than most GF alternatives. Tried a number of breakfast spots in Eastbourne but we have now found our favourite spot. Thank you Light at Towner for a wonderful breakfast brunch.
