The entire bakery is gluten free & they take precautions with other allergies as well.
Everything is AMAZING! Every time I go I usually get 1 of everything thats dairy free/vegan (and gf of course) and I am never disappointed.
The owner/head pastry chef, Lorena is so sweet! She will make your vision come to life for custom orders!
The visit was a mixed bag. It is nice they have a gluten free dedicated fryer for my wife's dietary needs. The help was friendly and inviting, and the food was tasty. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the order. We found the crispy cheddar curds had more vegetables than cheese curds and the portions were not consistent as our party of 4 had considerably less food than the party of 2 had next to us (served at the same time at the bar). We saw another order about 20 minutes later, and it was the same amount as our neighbors (a mound heaping over the bowl at the bar as well). We all ordered burgers, and my daughter's and my burgers were mixed up (fortunately we caught it before eating) and neither of us had the pickles as stated on the menu. Additionally, my burger was over cooked (previous reviews we saw heralded how cooking temperature was spot on). They did take it back, remade it, and it was fantastic. The menu is very limited (8 entrees) so one wouldn't expect the various mix ups. Is it worth a shot coming here again. Yes. The staff and food is good, so I will consider giving it another shot.
I can’t tell you how many times we’ve had breakfast here over the last five years. Consistent in every way: excellent service, excellent food, and a charming spot in downtown Geneva.
I especially appreciate their dedicated gluten-free menu, their green plate system for accuracy, and their phenomenal gf pancakes (they may be the best I’ve had from any restaurant). They have a gf cinnamon roll, and even the gf bread they use is terrific, not just stale Udi’s like other chains.
This particular location is so well run, even on a busy weekend morning, and they have coffee at the table and QR code payment on the check (as an option). We love it here.
The menu is great, lots of options including Vegetarian and Gluten Free. The portions are big but a tad pricey for breakfast @ $58.00 without tip. I would definitely come back regardless.

An absolute gem. If you have a gluten-free diet, feel confident here. I dined with a group of 6, and I was the only one who needed gluten-free options. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Even my friends, who ordered non-gluten free dishes, loved everything. The drinks were excellent, but the food was beyond amazing.
Altiro was a great dining experience in the age of pandemic take-home. Having travelled from Colorado and isolating since arriving in Illinois, we were looking for a unique culinary experience that was gluten free.
While browsing for restaurants near where we're staying, we came across Altiro Latin Fusion. We were immediately intrigued by their creative menu that featured mainly gluten free options. We ultimately decided to have their Al Trio Guacamole, the Al Chilango tacos, and the Ala Paella.
The All Trio Guacamole features three different accents: traditional goat cheese, pineapple, and grapes. All three were creamy with nice chunks of avocado. The accompanying house-made tortilla chips were very crisp and flavorful.
The Al Chilango tacos features tender chunks of skirt steak topped with potato straws and a creamy cilantro dressing. They were incredible.
The Ala Paella was the biggest hit of the meal. The eight large mussels were cooked to perfection and delicately tender, as were the shrimp. The chunks of grilled salmon, tuna, and tilapia were well cooked and tasty. All of the seafood was nestled on a bed of creamy, flavorful rice risotto. The dish was spectacular.
The only disappointing but expected part of the meal was that because it was takeout and we were staying 15 minutes away, the food was not as hot as it would be in-house. I fully expect that for dine-in the meal would be perfection. I highly recommend Altiro Latin Fusion and sincerely hope that they're able to survive the pandemic so that we can visit them the next time we come to the Geneva area.
So, we ended up getting a table in the basement wine cellar—just us, no windows, barely any light, and it was pretty cold because the heat wasn’t on. Getting there was an adventure: the stairs were steep, uneven, and totally unlit. Not to mention we were noticeably under a bathroom.
Menus were all different, notably because I have a gluten allergy and was looking for indicators of what would be safe for me to eat and only 1 menu at the entire table had a menu with those indicators.
The servers were super nice (and honestly just as confused as we were about why we were tucked away down there). My salad tasted great, but for what it cost, the portion felt pretty tiny.
Bottom line: when the place gets busy, it seems like management scrambles and guests get stuck in odd spots and treated like an afterthought instead of given a good experience.
By far the best vegan and gluten free restaurant my family has been too. I could not believe that this was here when I searched on Google but OMG are my and my family happy it is!
