Egg Harbor, Café is hands down the best spot for breakfast! They offer a fantastic menu with something for everyone, including a dedicated gluten-free menu alongside their regular options. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and excellent service make it an absolute favorite. Whether you’re gluten-free or not, Egg Harbor Café is a must-visit for a delicious and satisfying breakfast experience!
My experience was great for the most part. The restaurant was spacious and comfortable; the atmosphere was lively and fun; the bathrooms were clean; and the food and cocktails were fantastic. I chose Wildfire because our friend has Celiac, so I wanted her to have gluten-free options. She was pleasantly surprised that their gluten-free menu was so long. She said she was used to only having a few choices. The server also offered her gluten-free bread. So if you or someone you know has Celiac disease, this restaurant is a great choice. Just about everything took longer to make it to our table than most restaurants I’ve been to within the last few years. It wasn’t a horrible wait, but it was noticeable. Because of this, our server wasn’t around much. There were several times when I wanted to ask our server about another appetizer or another drink, but she never came by. That’s the only reason I took off one star—that, and the sneaky 3% they add to the check to offset costs. Yes, you can ask them to remove it, but it’s not like this restaurant is super cheap anyway. Why not add the 3% to the food in general if you’re struggling as a business? Regardless, I would definitely return.
I wish I could remember the name of our waiter, he was freaking awesome! The food was great! And the portions were huge!
My daughter has a gluten restriction, and we had to double check to make sure that she got the gluten free pancakes because we seriously couldn't tell the difference! Very tasty!
We'll definitely be back!
Green Joe has great espresso, and thats all I've ever gotten here. They always have an array of local artists' wares on display, which is very cool of them. I noticed, as have many others, that they slowly ran out of things and closed down over the last few weeks/months, which was, as a customer, weird to witness.
As for the negatives - this wasn't a coffee place you could go if you liked pastries with your coffee. All they stocked was a small selection of gluten free/vegan options, and the ones I tried were honestly the *worst*, inedible gluten free products I've encountered. The atmosphere was cold, I dont remember them ever playing music, and the only appreciable light was cool daylight from the huge windows. All hard surfaces - not a great spot to hang out if comfy cozy Cafe is your preferred vibe. The employees gave a similarly disconnected vibe - almost none of them were outwardly friendly, it was almost like ordering coffee from robots most of the time.
Regardless, GJC is/was the only independent coffee shop in a huge radius. Their pricing was great as was the espresso. I certainly hope they can reopen, at least for the sake of all the locals who lived closer than I did. If not, I guess Brewpoint and Conscious Cup are my only remaining options!
They do it right. Gluten free, dairy free not a problem. Gf lavosh and hummus appetizer is outstanding. Scallops and chicken tasty and well executed. And they are consistent from visit to visit. If the grilled artichoke app had about a third more hummus for all the goodies that you get it’d be the perfect appetizer.
City Works is the perfect spot for our get together lunch with long-time friends. Easy reservation for our group of 7. Great atmosphere to visit. The food and service was PHENOMENAL! We all ordered something different and every single one of us loved our meal! Tyler, our server, took the very best care of us including special orders for dietary restrictions. (I need to eat gluten and dairy free. Tyler even made sure that my food was prepped separately.) We have made City Works our spot to meet up!
Our server Hayley was amazing in letting us know that the menu is very gluten free friendly. We did order the big shareable appetizer and we were able to order the calamari grilled and on a separate plate from the rest of the fried potions. We definitely will be coming again.
This restaurant was great! They had a fair number of gluten free options for someone with Celiac. The service was also amazing. We were greeted, seated immediately at 11am on a Sunday, our server was phenomenal, and we were checked on repeatedly. If we lived in the area, we would be regulars!
Lovely place for our out of town visit with family. The food delicious, the service excellent, everyone pleased! What more could you ask for? Ah, yes, and gluten free!
Marvelous.
Came for gluten free pancakes but opted for
Gluten free belgium waffle instead. This came with fresh strawberries and real whipped crème along with the usual butter and maple syrup. It was amazing. The waffle was fluffy inside with crispy edges just like our server said it would be. I did half strawberries and crème and the other buttter and syrup. Was full but not sorry and I’d do it again! Worth it.
We were a little disappointed by the very small gluten-free menu but with a little help from our server Kevin were were able to modify the prime rib sandwich and it turned out amazing.

The wait staff was very friendly. However, there was a significant wait to get the meats delivered to the table. Some of the meat was just “ok”, while others were amazing! Salad bar was pretty good. Limited gluten free options because it was included in things you wouldn’t think (Ranch?).
After trying unsuccessfully to find an entrance we realized that it was a hotel entrance. The waitress was excellent, she understood that my friend hadn't eaten in 24 hours and brought her coffee immediately along with our food in less than 10 minutes. The gluten free waffle was fantastic, the egg white scramble was hot and tasty. My friend inhaled her large breakfast platter and finally her face was pink. An excellent breakfast. I would go there again. If you don't like children playing near you don't dine here, it doesn't bother me. Everybody needs to eat.
Great food from a terrific menu with delicious allergy free options for vegans, gluten free, etc. Nice decor, spacious dining room and good service. It’s already popular so expect to wait for a table on a weekend.
It’s so hard to find places to eat out when you are gluten, dairy, egg, soy and peanut free. But this place is DELICIOUS and fits all my dietary restrictions. It’s a very clean environment. The bowls we created ourselves were full of fresh produce and fish. ai couldn’t have any of the sauces because they include soy but i loaded up on avocado and it was so filling and delish. I do with they had a bit of plain wasabi instead of just the wasabi cream, but oh well!
Our first time at Rosie's and aside from the floor tables being too small ( preferred booth) the decor was on point with a great vibe. Our server Jonathan accommodated the gluten free challenge despite the physical menu not mentioning many options, the chefs were anle to modify the food items. The queso was very good and chips were fresh. The ingredients quite fresh and food items all tasty ... blueberry basil margarita that Jonathan recommended was the best we've had anywhere. Looking forward to return soon
Don't understand how there can be a one star review. The fishes were all fresh, and when it wasn't busy they would cover the fish with a lid to maximize the freshness of the fish we were served, which I've never seen at any other poke store. The prices are affordable, each REGULAR size signature bowl is only $12.95. You can also build your own bowl with unlimited toppings. Most importantly there are more aucentic sauces options than other places, and all are gluten free which is awesome, especially recommend ono shoyu sacue. Very nice presentation as well. Would definetly come back.
Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful, attentive staff at Brazil Express Grill. There are plenty of options for those with a gluten allergy, but some signage and menu items can be misleading. I hope they correct it! It's also great if you're vegetarian looking to indulge in the salad bar.
Decent food, reasonable prices, good portions.
Gluten free pizza was okay, they have separate fryer for French fries. Cheese fries were okay as well, cheese could use improvement, tasted like it came from a can(Processed taste).
Philly steak sandwich was good.
Got a gluten-free and dairy-free pancake from here and it was very dry and not tasty at all. I didn't even eat half of it and still got charged full price at that my food wasn't hot at all. The waiter wanted to remake it and I told her it wasn't needed and asked her how she would feel if she couldn't get a discount on a meal she was not satisfied with. She didn't answer but to respond she can't discount the meal and would have to make a call for it and I declined to do that and paid for my meal and left. Never will come here for breakfast again!!
It's easy to miss this place because it's located inside the golf club.
There are options for indoor or outdoor seating. I liked that the umbrellas are large, making it easier to avoid the direct sun. Beautiful views of the course.
The drinks and food are very good. They have a specialty for each day of the week, and the rest of the menu offers a little bit of everything: pasta, meats, salads, desserts. There are some vegetarian and gluten-free options.
The service is quite prompt.
