Simply—and irresistibly—delicious. I had the Full Therapy: a half bowl of three different dishes (Pasta Bolognese, Chili Sin Carne, and Mediterranean Pasta), and each one was incredible. Light, flavorful, and thoughtfully composed—every ingredient had its moment to shine.
I also tried their refreshing lemonade and black tea, along with two desserts: the omega-3 chocolate raw brownie and the raspberry raw cake. Both were sweet, filling, and richly flavored—hard to pick a favorite.
The ambiance is lovely. While the service wasn’t flawless, the staff clearly does their best to ride the wave of occasionally difficult Upper East Side customers with grace. If someone behind the counter seems a little short, it might just be residue from the last entitled interaction—so I give them full forgiveness.
I ended up spending over three hours here enjoying the atmosphere and the menu. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking clean, organic, gluten-free vegan food in New York.
As a gluten free girlie, this is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in the city. I get the pad thai and it's consistently delicious. Also, the staff is always attentive but today Kade helped me and she was absolutely lovely. Kind smile, super sweet, and on point with everything! Loved it.
This place has been around the upper east side for a very long time and it never disappoints! It's definitely pricier than other Chinese places in the area but they serve higher quality food that is less greasy, less sweet, and less salty. They also serve dim sum all day. With all that being said, some of their dishes are still catered to the western palate but it is still better than other places in the area.
Here are some of my favorite items from them
Fried egg rolls. Their egg rolls are legit. It's giant, filling and crispy.
Hot and sour soup. Very good and filling. Perfect for colder days.
Walnut prawns. Very big prawns that are flavored in this nice sweet and savory white sauce with fried walnuts.
Sautéed pea shoot. Very good while getting your fibers in.
Shrimp with black bean sauce and mined pork. Very good and flavorful.
Turnip cakes. Delicious and crispy.
Chives and shrimp patty. Lots of flavor.
They also have lots of gluten free options here. Service is always top notch. Overall a solid spot on the UES
Great place for an all day breakfast and more. The vibes are super old school Newyorker style. Good coffee! And GLUTEN FREE options. I definitely recommend it.
I abide by a mostly vegan/gluten free/refined sugar free lifestyle, and I am delighted to have goodsugar near my office for breakfast and mid-day snacks. So far I’ve indulged (guilt free, of course) in the following amazing items: coffee parfait, berry beauty parfait, matcha parfait, overnight oats (oatmeal), and the pecan bar. I love the parfaits, thought everything has been solid—with ingredients I can *trust*. And, I love the fun little sticker “fortunes” on the glass jars. A beautiful concept inside and out! Can’t wait to try the buffalo cauliflower soon.
I order take out from here all the time but recently went in person. They have the best homemade marinara sauce I've ever had. My friend who dined with me can't have gluten. She ate her entire bowl of gluten free pasta, which was massive. I will order from here again and again. They have a few tables out front if you want to take in the elements.
Very nice place, kind and polite waiters but above all Italian food!!
Very good and quality dishes, one thing I really appreciate is that there are gluten-free options including pasta, rare to find in New York.
The owner is Italian and the prices are fair for the quality of the food and Italian pasta.
Highly recommended
Gela and the rest of the staff at Oda House gave us an experience to remember. There was a great atmosphere, fantastic service, and delicious food. It is perfect for someone who is gluten-free too. We had Georgian wine, the appetizer sampler, entrées, Maya’s cake, and tea. I would recommend Oda House for anyone looking for a great night out and a new cultural experience.
I absolutely love going to Mediterraneo! My go-to order is the gluten-free margherita pizza (the crust is extra crispy) and a fresh salad — the perfect combo. The vongole is also amazing!!! This family-owned gem is a true neighborhood treasure. Melania is the warmest, most welcoming presence, she gives the best hugs. It truly feels like walking into your favorite aunt’s home for dinner. Places like this are what give the Upper East Side its charm and sense of community. Can’t wait to return!
Really bummed out with the menu, most stuff says it's gluten free. IT IS NOT GLUTEN FREE. The manager walked off very dismissively when we asked if things were gluten free. We asked the manager that they should update the menu but all she said was that the air fryers are not gluten free. The place has a very high risk of cross contamination and bad food can ruin good trips. Would give 0 if it was an option.
Unsure which was better: the tapas or the service! Our server asked us about allergies and was extremely accommodating by letting us know exactly which tapas contained gluten and separating one piece when possible etc. The sangria was quite nice despite not typically enjoying sangria as it was not overly sweetened. Would definitely recommend for a date or a group!
Large and very tasty burgers, many options to choose from. One of the best that can be found in New York without a doubt. Sweet potatoes are recommended as a garnish. The authentic and very American retro atmosphere and decoration. There are gluten-free buns for the burgers, although there is no gluten-free fries option. The waiters were very friendly and attended to requests perfectly.
3 of us enjoyed the pre-fix menu dinners. We all ate every bite of these delicious and beautifully presented dishes: tuna tartar, mixed greens salad, lobster dumplings, Atlantic Salmon, steak frites, pecan pie with homemade pumpkin ice cream, gluten free lava cake with home made vanilla ice cream, and homemade berry sorbet. Service was very friendly and attentive. I loved the fact that we could converse comfortably because it was not too loud even though it was full of guests doing the same.
My wife and I had dinner at Finestra on a Friday evening. I had the salmon with vegetables and my wife had the shrimp risotto. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were delicious. My wife enjoy d the risotto and we both agreed it was one of the better meals we have had in NYC. Excellent service as the waitress was attentive to my wife’s celiac issues. Highly recommend Finestra.
Have dined here many times, but I felt compelled to write about the incredible service we received by our server Georgios. I mean wow. He knew the menu front to back, every detail. Everything he recommended- we ordered. I brought 5 others who have never been here before and they were in awe of not only the food, but the 5 star service we received. My sister in law has celiacs disease and our server fully accommodated this and knew exactly which dishes she could and couldn’t have. I believe our server should be recognized for this by his employer! He is truly someone who loves his job and desires to provide excellence.
Classic french neighborhood bistro. Reliable food and service. Classic french onion soup with tons of cheese. Steamed artichoke, roast chicken, steak frites are our favorites. Never a bad meal, never bad service. Very accommodating of gluten allergy (onion soup without the bread!)
