Consistently, reliably mids. I have never once had something "delicious" here, but it's never been outright inedible either. It's just consistently meh. If i had another GF option nearby, I'd go there. The dough is often either overly dry (as gluten free tends to be) or overly chewy... definitely needs improvement, especially considering the prices.
Just left this location because they wanted to charge me $33 for this same meal. I drove away and said that is crazy and went to the williamette location.
I drove up and asked about the gluten free bun and they said it was $2, which is not a good price. Later when I ordered my daughter meal, he proceeded to say gluten free burger when I never said I wanted that, I stated not gluten free. I proceeded to order my meal and he proceeded to say gluten free and I said not gluten. Then I said I wanted both the meals to have oreo shakes he said okay. He then proceeded to tell me it was gonna me $32 something and I was like I think something went wrong, can you add the shakes to the meal, I've never paid that much. Radio silence for over a minute with me saying hello 15 seconds. Then he finally answered and I said did you hear me and he said no, so I said can you put the shakes in the meals and he proceeded to ring everything up separately and tell me the price would still be $32 something. I about lost it, and said that is crazy and drove off, obviously a communication issue either with speaker or the worker. Either way was frustrating, will not be going back to that location.
This is my go-to spot in Eugene! I love the fresh-squeezed orange juice. The chilaquiles, waffles, biscuits and gravy and salads are all delicious...I haven't worked my way through everything on the menu yet but those are some of my faves. They have a wide variety of baked goods if you're looking for something quick to go. Right by the Amtrak station if you're traveling. If you or someone in your group is vegan, vegetarian or gluten free there are plenty of clearly-labeled options.
Yummy in my tummy. The staff was helpful and quick. The food options were dizzying as a Celiac. They had tons of options and local favorites all available to us. Even the bacon was extra crispy.
A++ I would highly recommend visiting and bringing a healthy appetite.
My partner and I recently visited BJβs Restaurant for a much-needed getaway, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a cozy dining experience. We were especially impressed by the outstanding service provided by Chris H., who was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our visit special.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the food. I opted for the California Chicken Sandwich with a gluten-free bun substitute, and it was incredibly satisfying. The flavors were well-balanced, and the gluten-free option was executed perfectly, without compromising taste. My partner chose the jambalaya, which was richly seasoned and delightfully hearty, making it a perfect choice for anyone craving a burst of flavor.
Overall, BJβs Restaurant delivered an exceptional dining experience that we won't forget. We left feeling happy and satisfied, looking forward to our next visit.
Wish there was more seating. I had the avocado toast on gluten free bread and while small it was incredibly filling. Had the tumeric latte which was delightful and the dragon acai bowl which was huge!
DO NOT attempt to dine here if you are gluten free. Do not attempt to dine here if you want to eat good tasting, quality food that is worth your money. Expect to be creeped out by the management, hastily sat on still-wet chairs, and greeted with zero professionalism. Brunch spots can get very busy and hectic, but the way this place is run is pathetic. Get it together.
Just to share all the things they offer here. 100% gluten free, 100% organic, 100% vegan, 100% soy-free, 100% salt free, 100% peanut free, 100% oil free, and 100% Raw.
I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a whole plant-based raw vegan restaurant. The owners who do all the food prep and service in the restaurant truly care. It shows in the way they treat people when they walk in and in the small details like their 100% recyclable straws to the filtered water that they serve customers.
If you are unfamiliar with eating like this, it might take a little bit to get used to and to change your taste buds to like it. However, some of their food is so good I believe regular eating people would find it equal in taste to the real thing. For example, their soft serve ice cream that is 100% dairy-free and naturally sweetened by fruit or dates also their smoothies!
Idk how this place doesnβt have 5 stars. The coffee is AMAZING and the crepes are to DIE for. Iβm taking everyone to this place. Also they have gluten free options, like more than 50% of menu can be GF
Cozy, tucked away breakfast and brunch place. Indoor and some outdoor seating. Limited hours but does get very busy on market days. Vegetarian and gluten free choices
My new favorite is the maca cacao latte with espresso. Yum. They also have fresh juice and a nice menu. I enjoy the gluten free avocado toast. It's clean and quick, with a nice atmosphere.
Mark & Lisa are amazing, the staff is also amazing! Their food is absolutely phenomenal . The atmosphere is relaxing and fun. Not a place you want to miss out on!
They also provide vegetarian & gluten free options
I was treated very rudely when I mentioned I had celiac disease. She left me to Google some things and walked away annoyed instead of being helpful. The entire place was so smoky from cooking that my hair and clothes smelled the rest of the day. The cocktails were well done although weak for the price. I will not return
The waitress there, the day after Christmas, was working by herself all morning was a rockstar running the place was calm and collected while her timing was smooth and impeccable throughout the busy rush and with also a 2-bite check. Thank you for providing gluten-free English muffins. Its nice to be able to have toast for breakfast with everyone else. π
I love getting gluten free breakfast here. Ivy & Will are so fantastic, really a unique place in all my travels. I'm going to miss it when I leave this area!
As a gluten-free vegetarian, I enter most restaurants expecting to eat another side salad or veggie burger. Imagine my delight when most of the menu (even waffles!) was GF optional and not 1, but several items, were vegetarian. For the first time in years, I was stumped as to what to order and had to take a moment to decide. π
The best part? The food, which arrived quickly, was delicious! I got the GOAT and was quite pleased. Iβll definitely be back to try more dishes.
Thanks for being so great about dietary differences. I am truly appreciative.
Delicious and amazing I love that they have gluten free bread so I could partake in one of man's best foods. I got the orgonian my partner got the inside out french onion. (He said it would have been nice with a side of au jus but i loved mine to death) Very dog friendly as well. Love this β€οΈ
Same great, family atmosphere. Fabulously friendly server. Reasonable prices. Excellent experience. Some more gluten free bread options would be welcome, like buns, bread, and pancakes, but they have plenty of non gluten fare. π
This spot is a GEM. Acorn community cafe is the greatest spot in Eugene. They make the most incredible food (vegan and gluten free) that I cannot understate as the best food Iβve ever had. I am not vegan or gluten free but it BLOWS my mind every time I go. The staff and owners are genuine, kind, and generous. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The community support they offer is unmatched. Their rotating hash, biscuits and gravy, banana pancakes, and desserts are in a league of their own. I bring everyone here who visits, because I know that it will be the highlight of their trip to Eugene. Thank you, our community is stronger because of you.
So excited everytine I order delivery, I've had their gluten free waffles once and they were delicious. Ive order then 3 times since and by the time the order arrived, my waffles were missing, the rest if the order was in the bag with a note that says "sorry we are out of those waffles :("
Gluten free food is rare and sucks hard. These people make good waffles.
I'm not ordering again it hurts to not be able to eat out when everybody else orders delivery.
This place is amazing. The coffee is incredible, the food is delicious, the staff and owner are super cool. It's also a great option for eating out for anybody who avoids gluten as many of the menu items are naturally gluten free. The decor is also a 10.
The food was fantastic. I had the Mediterranean scrambled eggs and the were fantastic. My daughter had a burger and said it was a 10 out of 10. We really appreciated the gluten free bread option.
Great food for a great price! Vegan & gluten free options and all of the menu items are amazing! We had pancakes (so fluffy and huge), breakfast burrito (enormous - can feed at least 2), chicken fajita omelette (amazing!), a waffle (really good) and an American breakfast (good!). Service was great and super fast and food was awesome! Definitely recommend :)
Unreal! This place is fantastic. The food is amazing (no seed oils, plant based, gluten free <minus the avo toast, which is fresh sourdough>, fresh pressed juice). The gal I talked with today was SO KIND, and was super helpful when explaining the heart behind the company and helping me decide what I wanted to try out for the first time. Over all, will definitely be a returning customer and I recommend anyone give this place a try!
(I got a Buddha bowl and the Purity green juice. So so good. Def try the golden rice!)
I'm so glad I decided on this spot for dinner! Great service, great atmosphere, and super tasty food! The cook area is open, and you could smell everything being cooked and hear the line staff working together as they prepared meals. Sat at the bar, it was really busy when I came in, with only 2 bar chairs open. I was greeted right away, brought a menu, and had a drink order within minutes. They modified a dinner option to make it gluten-free and didn't disappoint on flavor!
Will be back for sure!
This place just opened up, and my heart leapt with joy at some good Punjabi food in town. Chatted with the owners quite a bit, very pleasant people, and was welcomed with a hot cup of masala chai.
Their Pakora are amazing, 100% gluten free chickpea flour (be advised Samosas have wheat) and they have one style of pakora with paneer and saag, it's delicious! Their butter chicken is divine, and a well-balanced heat is in it, which is wild in this town (too few have good heat). Definitely planning on coming back soon, with friends!!!
