We drove from Buffalo to eat here. I must say it was worth it. Fantastic service and delicious crepes. So Fresh and tasty. My wife is celiac and they were accommodating.
I was visiting from out of state and stumbled upon this sandwich shop — and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and went out of their way to accommodate my needs. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great experience.
The food was absolutely fantastic. Flavorful ingredients, generous portions, and a menu that offered creative options while still delivering the classic favorites. What truly stood out to me was how allergy-friendly this place is. As someone who needs to eat gluten-free, it can be tough to find sandwich shops that understand cross-contamination and take it seriously — but Picasso’s did. The staff took the time to listen to my needs, explain the menu clearly, and offer safe, thoughtful options. They even had a gluten-free brownie for dessert!
Whether you have dietary restrictions or not, this is a must-visit spot. Great food, even better people. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!
I cannot begin to tell you about my amazing experience at The Cork! My students, staff, and I stopped for lunch on our way to Pittsburgh and the staff was beyond accommodating! They had meals prepackaged for those fasting in observance of Ramadan and even created a dedicated, private prayer space. And the chef and manager gave a short presentation about working in hospitality and management. The food was beyond amazing and then curate a menu to fit everyone; vegetarian, halal, and gluten free! I would highly recommend The Cork for a small intimate dinner with a loved one or a large group. Not to mention the staff was SO great with my high schoolers.
Good experience. Hailee the server was awesome. Tons of gluten free and allergen menu. Amazing view, good decor and ambiance, relaxing. Portions are huge. Would prefer smaller with more quality. Shrimp on flatbread didn’t have any flavor and was a bit tough. Lots of cheese/oil, but nothing bad tasting. Pork was well cooked, tender and juicy.
Great service and menu. The black pepper shrimp starter was so savory and delicious. There are so many gluten free options on the menu. The portions were sizable, the food was delicious, and very friendly service.
My wife and I ate here recently, I ordered the roasted-garlic sirloin steak (medium rare) with garlic/thyme butter, loaded baked potato.. it was really good and seasoned well, I ordered a side salad (I chose the BLT salad) for an additional upcharge and it was delicious. My wife (Gluten Free) ordered the tomahawk pork-chop, and it was massive, came with roasted carrots that were cooked perfect and were probably the largest carrots we'd ever seen as an accompaniment. They did botch her request for the GF option she had chosen, but that didn't prevent my wife from enjoying the rest of her meal.. the only thing preventing us from having an overall great experience was the temperature inside, it was cold, very cold, and we weren't even that close to the entryway.. most tables nearby had their jackets on for the duration of their meals as well.. but overall it was very satisfying, and the price was good for the portion sizes. We will be back.
The Co-Op is such a great community asset to Erie! Absolutely love being a member. Minutes away from home so super convenient— superb options nowhere else here has, like the sea moss gel and Shilajit honey. Also appreciate the wide varieties of dairy free and gluten free products. Every snack from the cafe is always delish, the whole team is so sweet and helpful- always look forward to a shopping trip here!
Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Their Gluten free options were good, but my burger looked more like wet cat food pate than a burger. The other food (grilled cheese, Mac and cheese, and Stromboli) were up to par for kids and my partner. All-in-all, not a bad choice, but I would not order the burger again.
I absolutely LOVED this place. I watched the birth of this establishment on the Discovery Channel TV program Undercover Billionaire. Since my wife and I were in town, we decided to try it out.
When we walked in, we were immediately taken in by the smell of smoke. Something you would smell if you were doing an outside wood fired BBQ.
As we looked at the menu, my wife was concerned about several items on the menu. She has become very gluten sensitive in the last 2 years which has caused her to scrutinize everything she eats. We consulted with the waitress and she was not able to sufficiently answer our questions.
The waitress actually brought the cook from the kitchen (I think it was Ashley) who was able to tell us what was in the food. My wife was able to make a selection that was not only safe for her to eat but was also delicious. (BTW, my meal was great, too!)
Thank you to all the staff at Underdog BBQ and I wish you great success!
Love this place! We visited from out of town, they use clean healthy ingredients! The Long fermented sourdough was so good they also have all fresh food including farm fresh eggs, latte with honey was amazing! It’s small but the owner and staff is extremely welcoming and friendly, 10/10 recommend!! Also have a lot of gluten free options!
This is our "go to" place for breakfast. Sometimes there is a line (weekends esp) but the food is good, portions large, coffee just right, and the right price.
My fav is the half portion frittata (bc LG is size of plate.and way too much for me to eat in one sitting). Four types of toast (white, wheat, rye, french), bit only one gluten Free option (oatmeal),- hopefullygf grits and GF toast can be added.
Brought fam of 7 here after.graduation and all were satisfied
w the experience.
Needed a quality place for great beer and food after spending hours on the beach. This place is all that and more. CC was our server and took care of us with great service. They accommodated my wife with a gluten free salad and flatbread. We got the cod special, blackened chicken pasta and shrimp tacos and all tasted fresh and very filling. Large selection of beer cans and bottles. This place is a local gem in Erie.
I have been trying to find a favorite restaurant in Erie. I was excited to try this and glad that the menu pointed out the gluten-free options. Unfortunately, they were completely out of gluten-free bread which took out a lot of things that I wanted to eat like the French dip sandwich. When we got there, we were told that there were only a few hamburgers left and my friend said he wanted one, so they went ahead and set it aside for him which was nice. But like why are there so few hamburgers left on a Saturday evening? It was hard for me to decide what I wanted, so I went ahead and went for the strip steak. My friend ordered a mudslide, and we both tried it. There was no alcohol in that thing not even a little bit. My rum runner was fine, but not spectacular… they served it in plastic cups, which made me not want to get a glass of wine with my dinner. My steak was fine and the garlic mashed potatoes were fine. The portabella’s were so so. I don’t think they were fresh or they didn’t taste like it. My friend got the burger and I just wasn’t any condiments on it and all they gave us was ketchup. Finally tracked the waitress down and got some mayonnaise and mustard. The fries were not anything special and definitely not worth of $4.95 for the ad on if you didn’t want the potato salad. Overall, this place could be really good. Maybe we just went on an off night and it was too busy. I really wanted to like this place it just didn’t seem to add up to the reviews of being one of the best spots in Erie. But location location location it’s a great spot to people watch if you sit outside. If you have a big booty the chairs, are those cheap plastic kinds that are miserable. Good luck.
