This is a family favorite for us. We have Burger lovers, no meat, and celiac in our family and everyone has found a good option so we only have to make one stop. We also love to mix sweet potato fries with regular. The play place is decent, and they have my daughter's favorite fry sauce. Please add a location in Melissa!
I visited Eggsquisite Cafe on a whim. I was craving breakfast food and they were listed as having gluten free options. I ordered the bacado with hashbrowns and gluten free pancakes. Oh my goodness! Everything was delicious, but the GF pancakes were exceptional. I will definitely be returning to the cafe for breakfast.
Quality food, atmosphere, and the love is priceless! As a Reiki and Holistic Life Coach I know the importance of honoring our selves on a cellular level!
This is my favorite health spot! I order fresh pressed juices daily with a sprinkle of cayenne to keep my stomach alkaline.
I’m plant based and truly appreciate the thought that went into the menu. Tons of Vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options.
Although, I don’t eat fish on a daily basis the tuna salad is so amazing I have to indulge! Try it with banana peppers you won’t be disappointed!
Don’t be like me and wait months to sign up for the rewards program! Take a moment set it up and get the added perks!
Treat yourself don’t cheat yourself! You only have one body!
Cute little coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere. Tons of breakfast and drink options for everyone to find something they like. Got the gluten free blueberry lemon crepe, the flavor was delicious though the dough was a bit thick and doughy. Family enjoyed the BLTE sandwich and Waffle, the taro matcha was a fun enjoyable combination.
Lots of gluten free options. Although I did not ask if they have a dedicated fryer for the chips, I did not get sick after eating here (I have celiac disease) and I am pretty good at sniffing gluten out! 😂 We had a large party and three children and found seating easily. Really nice, helpful staff, too.

If you have a gluten allergy or Celiac disease do not eat here! The chips are not in a dedicated fryer, even though 2 staff members assured me they were ok. It is unacceptable to not train your staff about allergies etc. We are highly disappointed!
Great date night spot, feels like the classic italian experience but with really good gluten free pasta. The celebration sundae is over-the-top in the best way. Use to wow your bride.
Recently visited with a small group of lady friends. Our server Michael did such an incredible job making sure we had everything we needed and more. He was efficient, energetic, kind, fun & overall one of the best servers I’ve ever had. He made sure my meal was prepared as gluten sensitive. Most everyone cleared their plates as the food was so good. Most of us ended up with the flat iron steak. So yummy!!! Michael even surprised our table with a dessert in tribute to me and my pregnancy. Such a sweet gesture. What we thought was so neat, was Michael shared about the sourcing of many ingredients from local sources. Even a story about a supplier not being able to fulfill Lazy Dog demand for a particular nut for their salad, in which the salad was removed from the menu & Lazy Dog helped the supplier expand their operation to help fulfill their demand. Which to this crunchy group, was so refreshing to hear. When I come back to Lazy Dog, I will definitely be asking for Michael to be my server.
Editing to expand review:
We went here for my wife's birthday. It was our first time and chose it based on location and reviews. Service was amazing and friendly. There was a hand drawn birthday card waiting for us at the table. Our server was very attentive and was aware of my note about my wife's gluten sensitivity. It was cool that they had a gluten free bread basket for her. We ordered the ribeye w/lobster tail for her and filet for me. Not to take anything away fr any of the items, but my favorite with the juicy and tender filet with the lobster tail almost stealing the show - the fact that I'm still thinking about it means I think it did. Chef came out to greet the tables and was very friendly and knew us from the reservation which was cool for our first visit. Everything was cooked to perfection - really- and we would definitely be coming back. If I had to have one downside it might be that the music doesn't match the beautiful ambience and food - but that is subjective and we quickly zoned it out after the food arrived.
Allen Café is a cozy little restaurant in the city center with good transport connections and plenty of parking spaces.
The staff at Allen Cafe is very welcoming and extremely service-oriented.
There is a wide selection of breakfast and lunch options as well as a changing lunch menu.
The quality of the food is excellent and the prices 💲 are actually very affordable.
Almost like 10 years ago.
The coffee ☕️ is honestly one of the best I've had in the USA in years 🇺🇸.
In short, the Allen Café actually deserves 6 ⭐️ out of 5 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
My insider tip for gluten intolerant people:
The breakfast burritos are also available with corn tortillas...a treat!
Top stop for breakfast and lunch in Allen (Texas)!
OK, let’s get past the fact that it’s in the same building as a gas station. It is amazingly delicious authentic Mexican food. The place itself is right.out of Mexico. The salsas range from a fresh and light to a totally Caliente. Most tacos come with fresh garnishes of cucumber, onions, cilantro, or lime. Busy at lunch, but quick and friendly service.
P.s. we are gluten free and nobody had issues here.
They went out of their way and prepared a gluten free frier just for us. They are so thoughtful and so accommodating. The food is amazing, this is now our favorite place and honestly the only wing place I feel comfortable going! Thank you !
When we walked in the place was pretty in-cohesive visually but for me usually that’s whatever. What really got me was spending $100 on 2 kids plates, 2 coffees, and 2 normal breakfast plates. My family of 4 usually spends 40-60 when we go out for breakfast depending on the spot. But to spend $100?! For bad atmosphere, grating music over the speakers, and mid food?
Pass.
I got the egg and chorizo tacos, pretty much flavorless. We also usually eat gluten free when we go out and the gluten free pancake/waffle mix here tasted RANCID. My 5 year old said it tasted weird so I took a bite and regretted it. Sour and weird and just off.
Why was the coffee $5? This isn’t Starbucks lol why was there excessive garnish? Odd choices .
They’re offering 10% discount for reviews as well take that as you will.
