An okay diner it feels kinda tight and is loud but the fact it's gluten friendly is a big plus and on top of that the food tastes absolutely amazing, which is hard without gluten. Coffee was not fun and it was super busy. Overall it's a cute place every once in awhile, though I don't think you'd want to make it a regular spot.
The Next Act is the quintessential third place. The staff is always welcoming and make you feel like you're at friend's place, not a restaurant.
And their gluten free fish and chips is a real treat for those of us with Celiac đ„°
Beautiful souls who care for us celiacs even through last minute deliveries, For whomever was on staff tonight, I hope both sides of all your pillows are cold tonight <3
Against All Grain Benny was by far the best eggs benedict Iâve ever had. Got the spicy hollandaise and it was just the right mild spice. The Brussel sprouts were sweet, carmelized and pure perfection. Vegan and gluten free which was perfect. I will be back to try other vegan GF items.
The coffee is good, service is great, and the pastries are good. However, gluten-free items are not on the top of the pastry cabinet, where they should be, to be properly labelled. There needs to be more strict standards for where they keep these items, especially for celiacs. Otherwise, don't bother calling it gluten-free.
Great food â if you have dairy and gluten allergy, Pip is very accommodating (but pricey). They have a separate grill for the meat and you can order the steak or chicken. The kale salad and patatas bravas are also allergy friendly.
Definitely need improvement on handling allergies.
Was served flour tortillas despite informing my server of a gluten allergy and requesting to be swapped to corn tortillas. When I informed my server of the mistake she said they were corn, I asked her to double check and sure enough they were not corn.
As a server you should be able to spot the difference and do a double check before the food comes to the table.
We came with many dietary restrictions as one person in our party was unable to have soy, dairy, and gluten. Our server Jade was extremely accommodating and thorough. For example, we were hesitant about the lobster roll sauce so we offered to just omit the sauce but Jade was concerned the rolls would lack flavor and brought us a sample of the sauce instead. Jade and the kitchen were very thorough in checking all the ingredients for the dishes we were interested in and were able to modify the lobster rolls to be gluten, dairy, and soy free.
The other members of our party did not have dietary restrictions and enjoyed the mussel bowl and donair. Overall I'd highly recommend coming here if you have dietary restrictions, they are very thorough in checking their ingredients and they make sure you feel comfortable while doing so.
A Celiac Foodie's Dream! The food here is outstanding - chef Joseph goes above and beyond. It is such a treat to have delicious, local, farm-to-table style dishes that are also created with a knowledgeable kitchen and staff. Indoor/Outdoor dining is a definite plus and the ambiance is great. I regularly crave the Poutines and the GF Brownie, although every item here is a hit.
At Prairie Donair, enjoy celiac-friendly donairs and poutines made with gluten-free ingredients. Packed with amazing flavors, these dishes are perfect for anyone looking for a safe yet delicious meal. With a variety of toppings and sauces, youâll find the perfect combination every time!
The best ever! Im celiac and its such a struggle finding restaurants with good food that fit my dietary restrictions, and AUM cafe hits ALL the marks! I highly recommend their butter chicken with rice! All their curries are gluten free i believe and they all taste great! They have cakes and loaves that are GF as well! The staff here are amazing, they all treat you so kindly and love to interact with their customers, its so refreshing to see especially in this day and age. I love this place and I'll always come back to them when im in need of a meal! Wish they were open longer!!!
This location at least has the gluten free bread option. Was actually really tastey, doughy gluten free bun. Way better than the subway gf bun option. Lady working there told me almost all subs can be made gf so I got the club. So far so good. I did see them take precautions in the kitchen with gloves for cross contamination but you can't see right into the whole area. I'm celiac and don't usually risk places like this but the sub was delicious and would go back again.
Came here for a family birthday, and must say wasnât overly impressed. Most of the gluten free options on the menu were unavailable for our gluten free guest. And as a second option got an unflattering, honey pizza, with practically every topping being taken off without our knowledge. The service was a bit slow, although our service was friendly. The food did take a while. Half the guests enjoyed their food well the other half did not. On the bright side at the end of the night we were brought 5 free desserts for the table, which was definitely a plus. That being said I will not be coming back.
Being gluten free can sometimes be stressful confusion and frustrating but I must say with the service of Mya having my intolerance felt like nothing. Her service was timely efficient and always given with a wonderful smile.
How awesome to be able to go back to Rooster today after the "Covid break"! Staff was warm, welcoming and efficient as always. Food is always delicious and filling for very reasonable prices. They offer early bird breakfast deals as well as burger deals later in the day. They have a variety of breakfast dishes - my favourite includes gluten-free French Toast while my husband prefers the Brisket Bowl. Rooster burgers and sides are unique and scrumptious! Try it out - you won't be disappointed by this Whyte Avenue gem!
I loved their vegan butter chicken and vegan quesadilla. I couldnt believe it was made without dairy (all their food is vegan) as it tasted like the real thing. They also mark their menu for items that are gluten free and peanut free and can also further alter the ingredients for you (they made me a gluten free version). The portions are large and the staff is lovely. All meals come with a large very tasty salad or fries.
A creative, fun menu full of delicious food! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the Tom Yum scapes were so good. The servers were super friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of great vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Iâll definitely be back soon!
Just taking a little breather in between food-gasms... I have already left a review here but OMG, people. I've literally just never had food that made me make audible sounds of pleasure before. Every time I come here, it just gets better and better. Oh! And I guess now this review is extra relevant because last time I left a review it was before I was diagnosed Celiac. Can't rave enough for a place that my favorite dish before and after diagnosis has only gotten more delicious with time. #bayoujambalayanoshrimp for the win!!! Also, our server Matthew was amazing, adding to the ever chill, unique and awesome vibe that is Da-De-O đ Run, don't walk! Oh, and make sure you make a reservation!
My son and I both really enjoyed our meals. I got a gluten free pizza and the lady helping with ordering was quite considerate, providing many different options to accommodate my dietary needs.
Nice little hidden gem in Edmonton! Awesome menu that was great for 2 celiacs we had in our group. The drinks were fantastic as well and staff was so friendly and offered prompt service, can't wait to go back!
Love this place! Amazing Gluten free pho in a peaceful environment at an amazing price! Food comes out within 10minutes and staff has always been very friendly/helpful about gluten free options. Our new favourite place.
I recent came here for a volunteer appreciation event. Our group was very large but they accommodated us well in our own private dining space.
It was a set menu with a few different options to choose from, all of which looked delicious. They provided multiple vegetarian/vegan and gluten sensitive choices as well. Our waiter was hustling all evening, and they provided fantastic service. The food was plated beautifully and tasted fantastic. For our dessert they provided a buffet style selection of several delicious options (also offering gluten friendly choices). The chocolate cake with raspberry filling was incredible!
After our meal they accommodated a space for us to have a slide show presentation. Overall it was a lovely evening and Iâd happily return.
Outstanding homemade quality & many gluten free options! The service was so warm and welcoming. Hands down the best burger place in Edmonton, if you havenât been GO! The only thing youâll regret is you stomach not being bigger so you could order every item on the menu!

The nut cream is thick & tasty! You wonât notice itâs vegan. Plus, a very Instagram worthy location. Gluten free options were basically unlimited. Iâll have to go back another time because they were so busy opening week that they were short on ingredients in the evening. The strawberry nut cream is next on my list!
Update: I went back and the strawberry nut cream was totally worth it!! Highly recommend any drink with that in it.
I tried here today first time and I ordered gluten free crust with Punjabi veggies topping. It was nice, crust was crunchy too. Prices are also economic as well.
I must have requested gluten-free eight times. She had to remake my order three times because she kept putting gluten items on my order. I would ask, "Doesn't that have gluten?" - she would say, "Yes, I can take it off." Halfway through all this she spent nine minutes on a phonecall. My meal was cold.
Amazing food! Best Thai food I ever had, vegan and gluten free options. Super friendly and thoughtful service. You can chose your preferred level of spice.
Pretty good/great food. Beef & broccoli is always ordered. The gluten-friendly dishes are great as well. Overall this is the one restaurant that we frequently visit. Usually decent food and prices are reasonable and service is always with a smile.
I found this place using Google. We were not disappointed. They converted a house into a small Cafe. There is plenty of seating outside when the weather is nice. Very reasonably priced, and they were able to accommodate my need for gluten free.
Weâve been here a few times and we always get served by Courtney. We love her relaxed and friendly personality. We really enjoy this low key environment for our date nights. I found my favourite gluten free beer here s as well! Neat little English pub.
Sugarbowl was fantastic! It was quite an effort to park, and I arrived early to find a number of people waiting in line to immediately pack the house when the doors opened. The service by Jen was top-notch, and the food was amazing. I felt terrible that my party arrived 15-20 minutes after I sat down, but the staff was very kind and accommodating. Gluten-free toast with my omlette was delicious, and the coffee was fresh and strong. 100% recommend.
I used to visit the 124th location frequently and now this one is closer to home! Same great food and the staff is super friendly. My husband has Celiac disease and we have another family member with a dairy allergy. They are knowledgeable about allergies and weâve never had any issues!
I recently had my wedding at the Muttart (NYE) with Cafe Bloom as the exclusive caterer. The food was amazing and got lots of compliments. Service was also great, and staff was all friendly and attentive. The planning process was also well organized, and responsive and they were able to make adjustments to my needs (we had a few special requests - gluten free meals, early/quick servings due to lots or kids, etc). They were very easy to work with in the planning process. The staff member I had been working with during planning was not available for my wedding due to unforeseen circumstances. The owner (Wade) called me to let me know ahead of time and to assure me he would be taking care of things and he absolutely did. There were a few coordination issues with the Muttart itself (different establishment and team) but Wade and his team were so great to deal with that night and removed some added stress. Wade went above and beyond to help me and my husband with some snacks and milk for my 1 year old. This went a long way to settle a fussy baby between the ceremony and dinner and throughout the night. My daughter was having an off day (of course!) but a simple ask for some cheese and crackers to Wade and within a few minutes I had a beautiful charcuterie board for her. This helped settle her and the rest of the night went smooth, so meant alot. Staff were helpful when we needed milk for her, and always asked if I needed it warmed, and had no problems helping us out. These may seem like small gestures, but made a big difference as it is not easy to have a wedding with a 1 year old.
We also ate at the Cafe a few times during our meetings there and planning process and the food was always great. The restauraunt is quite busy during lunch, but that is understandable- the foods great and they are the only restaursnt there. Great experiences with the food and team all around and would happily use them again!
My new fav GLUTEN FREE đ PLACE
Best price in town and best crust even reheated next day! Super quick pick up and love they have their own delivery drivers and not skip or Uber eats.
My other new fav is their DONAIR pizza - so good with a side of donair sauce! Iâm not normally a fan of donair pizza itâs that good!
Thank you Dominos! â„ïž
Always fantastic service. Amazing drink menu and food never disappoints. A hidden gem. I have Celiac (gluten free) and they always take care with my food. Highly recommend
