I have been a longtime customer of Big Feast since it opened. I did slow down over the years just due to costs. I have gone back a few times in the last year and have not at all been very impressed (it's not like it used to be).
1.Today I went for brunch, we decided to sit outside but noticed after a bit that it was a bit chilly, so we got our menus and went back in to request to sit inside. Our server told us their heaters were not working this morning then went to get someone else with an unwelcoming facial expression who made a point of saying it is our policy we do not change tables and reluctantly sat us inside. Note it was not at all busy. I am not sure why she made a point of telling us about the policy, it did nothing but make us feel bad like we did something wrong. Instead, she could have said sure no problem and sat us inside without mentioning the policy OR let us know the rules ahead time.
2. The food was overpriced for what you get. I ordered the Thai curry. It lacked flavor and tasted of salt and vinegar. I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago at the cactus club and t was so delicious and cost the same. I had a sweet tooth and went to the showcase and ordered the pecan pie. It was not good at all hard as a rock and no flavor at all. I got my bill, and the pie was shockingly 10$ for a slice. Absurd. I can make whole gluten free homemade pie myself that tastes like something. 7$ may have been a better price. I said to the server the pie was 10$ and she says yep smugly and said it is homemade and the whole pie costs 75$. Ok thanks. If you need a good pie go to Hansel and Gretal bakery.

I eat here often! The team are super knowledgeable about celiac disease and have a separate area of the kitchen for GF including a fryer for gyozas. There’s a separate GF menu that’s clearly marked - food comes in a separate bag and clearly labelled, GF soy sauce is available too!
Cozy not crowded, no to little wait for a table. Food was delicious and as a gluten eater would happily go back for more gluten free things. The mushroom Benny and breakfast poutine was delicious and filling.
An amazing restaurant ! The service is always amazing and dietary requirements are considered. I’m a 10 year vegan with a sensitivity to gluten and the servers are able to provide ingredient information without losing any of the flavour in the final dish. Menu items are made fresh and it is very clear a lot of love goes into every plate. A MUST try if you’re in the area !!

My daughter and I went to Me n' Ed's last night on an impulse. We are always really careful about the restaurants we visit because she has celiac and unfortunately gets sick with the smallest amount of cross contamination. It was super busy in there with a steady flow of customers but that didn't affect their customer service! Staff was kind and took their time to listen and was upfront with telling us about wait times (completely understandable with how many people were in there!)
The pizza was ready quicker then we anticipated, it was hot, delicious and loaded with toppings!! And the best part, safe from cross contamination for my daughter!
Thanks for a great experience, we will definitely be back 🍕
Knowledgeable about celiac disease and GF items are marked on the menu. No dedicated fryer and a small GF menu but offers lovely outdoor seating by the river with sunset views. Great happy hour
I don't usually write reviews often but I felt this place really deserved one. I'm celiac so eating out is hard enough as it is. Their gluten free items aren't technically gluten free as they are cooked in the same oil. That being said they were very informative with everything on their menu and went out of their way to accomodate any restrictions I had. Aiden went above and beyond to make sure nothing was cross contaminated. He was very attentive, caring, and friendly. I really enjoyed my time there and, to top it off, I finally got to have hot wings!!! And they were gluten free! Just ask them to bake them. Absolutely delicious food.

Food is good, service is friendly, and the restaurant seems clean.
I would advise caution if eating gluten free- I mentioned twice when ordering that I need my order GF, and confirmed that it was GF when I picked it up, but there was a spring roll in the container with my salad, so I couldn’t eat it. I ate the Pad Thai as it was in a different container, but the spring roll being included made me question if the Pad Thai had actually been made GF.
Wouldn’t hurt to ask when someone orders GF if they want the spring roll, because more than likely the answer would be no 🤷🏻♀️
GF items clearly marked on the menu, pasta boiled fresh in clean water - takes slightly longer but that’s okay. The food is so delicious and the restaurant really has that Italian family run feel, only downside is no GF bread!

Amazing service. We ordered gluten free pizza and trust me it was so good. The base was perfect which I don’t usually get it some where else being gluten free. 10/10 for customer services.
Good evening I wanted to mention that my husband, myself and mother in law came in this past Friday. I was chatting with one of the ladies about a cheese that would be good for lactose free and she mentioned she is as well so she helped me pick a couple that are good. Then when we went to the till to pay the cheese and lunch I said I'm celiac so the lady at the till spoke to the chef and he created a gluten free sauce for the poutine for me. It was delicious.
I just wanted to express how thankful I am for caring about my dietary needs. It's so hard to eat out anywhere but truly appreciate the amazing customer service. I only wished I lived closer to come more often. Thank You so much.
5 stars for sure.
I need to eat gluten and dairy free for health reasons, and as a result, I MISS pizza SO much! I heard that this establishment had a good gluten free crust, then realized they also do dairy free cheese.
I've hated dairy free cheese (like Daiya) since I first tried it 15+ years ago, but because it's been so long and the industry has come a long way since, I figured maybe I'll give it a try (as long as it's not Daiya). I messaged and asked what kind they use and low and behold, not Daiya! (To me, Daiya tastes like plastic, and it melts weird)
I'm very happy that I tried the vegan cheese here, because I feel like I've finally found pizza that I can actually eat and feel good about! The cauliflower crust is a nice thin crust, and the df cheese actually tasted similar to mozzarella, and appeared to melt like real cheese.
The owner was also very kind and helpful.
My boyfriend and I had the vegan Hawaiian and vegan pepperoni with veggies. We didn't have to have the vegan meats, but we did anyway, and they were also good!
We will definitely be eating here again.
hidden gem of maple ridge. Delicious pizza , keto crust, gluten free crust, cauliflower crust, thin crust, they have Everything.staff is very polite n knowledge full. Unique range of pizzas and drinks. Must try.
Great experience all around. Excellent phone etiquette when calling to order. I explained to him that I was celiac and he took the time to explain to me everything I needed to know. The gluten free crust pizza I got was amazing, best crust in town that I’ve tried. This was my first time trying Albion Pizzeria and it won’t be the last. When I got to the place to pick up my pizza he greeted me calling me Mr. Edward and was very welcoming. I highly recommend this place!
Best sushi place in Maple Ridge! Tons of variety on the menu with gluten friendly and vegan options as well. I had the pan fried Gyozas, Popeye rolls and Miso Soup, all of which were delicious. In addition to all of this, the service was great and the cost of everything was very affordable. I will definitely be back here!
One of my absolute favorite spots in Maple Ridge!
Alina’s Café is a gem—always spotless with a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The food is consistently fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I’m especially grateful for their amazing vegan menu—it’s not easy to find healthy, fast, and flavourful plant-based options, but Alina’s delivers every time.
Their customer service is top-notch—always friendly and helpful. I also love the little extras, like 10% off their bahn mis on Tuesdays, and their selection of vegan and gluten-free treats is fantastic. Oh, and don’t forget the bubble tea—a perfect pairing with any meal.
Highly recommend for anyone who values clean eating, great service, and a relaxed café vibe. Thanks to the Alina’s team for consistently going above and beyond!
This restaurant is fantastic. Especially great for those trying to avoid gluten and/or dairy. So many delicious options available. We have ordered from them a few times now and they are so reliable and consistent.
I love this place! They’re always timely, the staff are very sweet and kind especially jag and they do a great job accommodating to my gluten allergy. Definitely recommend!!
My partner and I had a lovely date night here.
The staff are very attentive and friendly.
The portion sizes here were a lot bigger than we were expecting so I'd definitely recommend ordering less and then seeing if you need more.
The specialty rolls were huge!
Great value for your money compared to other sushi places.
They even had gluten free soy sauce and were very helpful in letting me know what dishes contained gluten.
The new owner has been making pizza for over 20 years and the experience shows. Delicious menu and generous ingredients. I especially love the chef's special pizza. The handmade crusts are the best and there's a gluten free crust option that tastes great too.
Went here with my daughter. Best sushi in maple ridge and they were so professional service was excellent will be coming back. They accommodated my gluten free allergy
Pleasant staff. Prompt service.
Delicious food - I ordered the gluten free lunch box - it included gluten free naan and samosa!!!
Enjoyed it so much we ordered 2 more meals to bring to our friends!
We took my mom here for her birthday birthday in May and I have to say I was rather disappointed in the service. I'll start with the good they we're extremely nice and I could tell that the lady was working very hard to make everything go smoothly....
However we did not have her as a server. We had a man and he was extremely unhelpful.
When ordering he did allow my mom to order a dish she had there before that was not on the menu but as for me I wanted a pasta on the side of my chicken breast the menus say I'm allowed to but when I asked he told me I was not. It would of been fine except for the fact he walked away without me completing my order...
He didn't come back to our table for a hour. When he did he brought bread my mom is gluten free so we asked for a gluten free and another hour later gluten free bread was brought to the table. He then said he couldn't bring another balsamic vinegar plate for her to dip her bread into she would have to use the one contaminated with gluten..... she didn't trust that.
About 30 minutes after that our appetizers arrived.... and we're extremely small for the price and I felt bad for it but I literally had to spit one out (probably a personal thing it just tasted like dirt to me)
Probably 40 minutes after that our main courses arrived and to no surprise they we're small for the price. I didn't enjoy my chicken at all I think it had a weird taste (once again probably just personal preference)
Roughly 3 and a half 4 hours after arrival we left and went to McDonalds as I was still starving.
My mom has been here before and said its not usually that bad but it was my first time and will be my last due to this experience.
