Awesome bakery with very friendly people. I need to be gluten free and there was a good selection there. Lots of breads and pastry for the rest of you too!
This is the best!!! I am so happy!!! I have celiac and I felt safe at this restaurant : ) The staff are so friendly and also knowledgeable about food allergies. Their music was great too and I almost had trouble eating cus I was headbanging (calmly headbanging to calm music .) Please never close down. I didnt finish my food cause i got real full but it was sooo good Im like tweaking. Thanks
The gluten free treats were some of the best I've ever had. The first day I had a gluten free brownie bite and it was so delicious I went back the next day to have it again
But alas! It was different treats! Luckily there was a gluten free carrot cake instead. It was delicious. Light and fluffy and so pretty! There were two gluten free breads to eat as well. The sourdough was amazing. The bun was crumbly and fell apart everywhere so I would recommend not getting it.
The service was also excellent. Very kind and friendly staff :)
Fantastic food and service. I've very severe allergies and staff were extremely helpful. Amazing meal. I will highly recommend them for anyone with Celiacs.
Absolutely amazing! Even going as Vegan and Vegan with a gluten intolerance- they have a full gluten free menu, a full vegetarian/vegan menu - and modifications are more than welcome
Incredible gluten free bakery!! The vanilla lemon lavender donuts are spectacular! Best ever in my 17 years being gf!! Great assortment of gf treats throughout the store.
It is very difficult to find an Asian restaurant whether it’s Korean or Japanese with a menu that’s clearly label with items that are gluten-free. I was extremely pleased that there was clear label of what was gluten-free on the sushi and especially since that was what I was jonsing for. The sushi nigiri and the rolls were super fresh, delicious and generous portion and reasonable in price. I really enjoyed my experience.
This is my number 1 go-to for gluten-free Chinese food! Handy tips: they can sub the beef and broccoli sauce for the gluten-free black bean sauce. Truly excellent!
Great range including vegetarian & gluten free options, absolutely delicious huge portion meal, excellent cocktails, wonderful service, plus free WiFi!
This was my 116th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon.
Huge chain coffee shop in town. Super comfortable seating. It's very quiet in here too.
I paid $5.52 for a gluten free Belgian brownie. I don't know if I would ever pay that much money for any brownie again (regardless of its EU origins).
Staff was relatively friendly. Employees seem to like talking to each other. That's fine. They're young.
Overall, I enjoyed my Belgian brownie and my visit at Blenz on Anderson Way. Oh, and free wifi.
116 eateries down in Vernon; 40ish to go !
We always loved going to the Lake Country location and are so happy with the Vernon location.
We chose The Italian Kitchen to celebrate our 20th Anniversary.
The restaurant is cozy, the service great and the food was excellent.
We enjoyed the complimentary warm breadsticks and the bruschetta was amazing.
They were very helpful with meeting my husband's food intolerances and the gluten free pasta was delicious.
You won't go wrong choosing the Creme Brule!
Highly recommend this restaurant.

Fabulous plant based bistro, serving bowls, panini and wraps as well as fresh baked muffins and cookies etc. Lots of gluten free options too. My go-to place to eat in Vernon.
We love this place it's our go to take out food! Always friendly and efficient on the phone, we love how fast our delivery comes and the food is HOT. We went this Summer with a big group to dine in and had an amazing feast with Gluten free options and excellent service.
Farmhouse pizza is THE BEST Pizza in Vernon! They are consistent. We get amazing pizza every time. The Farmhouse, Greek, Chicken BBQ, meat lovers, theyre stacked with toppings!!! They even have gluten and dairy free!! We ♥️ Farmhouse pizza!!!
Gluten-free options for Celiac-challenged people like myself! The owner, Susie, is amazing - so friendly & knowledgeable. They have a dedicated gluten-free fryer and gf prep takes place in a different area of their kitchen. There's a gluten-free menu and they offer a lunch combo, which is delicious with so much food - my take-out weighed a ton! And the crowing touch? 🥠 Gluten free FORTUNE COOKIES🥠 Not kidding. SO good!! 🙏 And I must have hit it right, I got a wall calendar & bought a few solar-operated mini lucky cats!! 🐈
My order:
Crispy chicken with sweet & sour sauce (lemon sauce is also offered)
Veggie chop suey
Fried Rice
Veggie chow mein with rice noodles
I’m writing this review after a shockingly disappointing experience. My mother-in-law, who has a severe gluten allergy, ordered a dish labeled as “gluten-free” on the menu. Naturally, we trusted the menu as presented—only to discover afterward that this restaurant hides the crucial detail that these dishes are only gluten-free upon special request, buried in the fine print.
This is unacceptable in today’s dining landscape, where “gluten-free” menus are expected to clearly and accurately cater to dietary restrictions and health needs. This oversight put my mother-in-law’s health at serious risk, which is utterly inexcusable.
When we raised the issue with our server and later the manager, their responses were defensive and dismissive. They argued that we should have read the fine print, as though a customer’s life should depend on scrutinizing hidden disclaimers. To add insult to injury, they even debated whether they should charge us for the meal they served her—despite their clear negligence.
What made the situation even worse was the manager’s unprofessional behavior. When I mentioned that I knew the restaurant’s owners, she dismissively stated, “I’m not threatened by you.” This level of hostility and arrogance, especially in response to a legitimate complaint about a life-threatening issue, is both shocking and unacceptable.
This level of carelessness and lack of accountability is appalling. Restaurants must take dietary restrictions seriously, and hiding critical information in fine print is irresponsible and dangerous. We won’t be returning, and I encourage anyone with dietary restrictions to think twice before dining here.
Please, if your server is Dillion, or your manager is Siman, double check your meals for allergy compliance.
My husband and I just went to the Phoenix for our 20th anniversary, and boy it did not disappoint! They have many options for gluten free, and they are so conscious about it! Celiac friendly for sure! We have lived in the area for around 15+ years and have never been- now it is a new favourite. You can tell it is a local family-run restaurant, and that they care about their guests.
First time going today and I absolutely loved it. They have a ton of options for gluten free diets and were able to tell me exactly what was safe to eat. Will definitely be going back again!
This was an amazing experience. I’ve seen some not as good reviews but I am a Celiac and they took such awesome care of me and they made sure that I was taken care of All 4 meals was amazing and the couple with us said they had the best coffee they had at a restaurant in Vernon. It was simply AWESOME FANTASTIC AMAZING
The good is amazing and the staff so friendly and helpful!
The menu lists both gluten free and lactose free items, so easy to order!
The store is stocked with many delights and surprises, too, so skip the door dash and go in!
You can't go wrong with a good burrito — and Bar Burrito does not disappoint. The service was excellent, friendly, expedient, and courteous. The food was phenomenal, and they have gluten friendly options for those that require it.
Definitely recommend. 👌
Visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. There are great gluten free options on the menu; gluten free buns for burgers, two sizes of pizza crust, the usual salad selection. Our server quickly helped me pick out the chicken brie burger with a side of mixed greens. There are wings on the menu but no dedicated fryer means cross contamination so nope. Hubby had the turkey club. Turkey club has real turkey in it, not deli sliced which is refreshing.
My burger was delicious; the chicken was not oversized but beautifully cooked and seasoned. I liked the cranberry in the sauce. Importantly the bun did not fall apart; a sturdy gluten free bun is hard to find. The salad had cranberries, pecans, tomatoes, arugula and cucumber and I would have it again.
This dining room is 19+ and I appreciated seeing a staff member dealing kindly but firmly with a young couple who were unable to produce two pieces of identification.
Drinks were on - par with other establishments and we didn't have to wait long for refills.
This is a true sports bar with speakers hanging off the walls, keno numbers on the screen in the corner and a pull tab machine and ATM. I imagine game night could be rambunctious and fun if you're into that sort of thing.
Overall would visit again. I was happy with my burger. Maybe pizza next time?
What a lovely quaint market. So many different items.
Yum. Just had a fresh salad and mushroom panini. Delicious!!! Chocolate banana gluten free muffins ....also delicious. Super place to go for lunch. Thank you for the great service and wonderful lunch. See you again real soon. ☺
Can not rave enough!. Service was great and funny. Food was superb. I've terrible food allergies and they were so accommodating and understanding. Will definitely be going again and bring all my celiac friends too. Thank you.

Fairly quiet atmosphere
Amazing sushi and fantastic staff! I asked for gluten free soy sauce and the staff went above and beyond to not only provide gluten free soy sauce but also to make sure the rolls I ordered were gluten free as well! Food was brought out fairly quick and presentation was great as well. Highly recommend!
We were disappointed in our first experience with the food and price.
I initially saw a menu online that said the brisket sammich was $17. I ordered takeout and the price of the sandwich was $20. The second one was with a gluten free bun and it was $23.00. The meat was nothing special. It was not as juicy as we would have expected and not much meat. When I got home I found that they had not included the sides of sauces. $45.15 for two buns with 4 slices of small meat and a bit of coleslaw on a bun is alot of money. I can buy a huge pirtof brisket for that which I will do from now on. Double check the prices and that you have all your items before you leave.
My wife is celiac, and had noodles with chicken and vegetables enhanced with sesame oil. Delicious! Everyone else loved their food as well. Including our 2year old Grandson !

Excellent service, food was delicious! We had a friend who has celiac disease and the kitchen and staff were absolutely meticulous about making sure her food was gluten free! Just an all around amazing experience.
We went to Sushi Kawa on Feb 14 and had a great date for a super reasonable price. They have a dedicated gluten free menu and put work into making sure that they’re careful with your order. The staff is attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. I’ve never had gluten free gyoza before and it was so good! We were back in less than a week for more.
