Julia made this an incredible experience! I am so grateful for Julia and The Mule, as a celiac and anaphylactic to Peanuts and Tree Nuts, my time finding restaurants that I feel truly safe is rare. This was the first place in Canada where I felt that safety to just explore the menu, relax, and enjoy. Everyone that came to our table was kind, informed, and awesome! Also the food IS AMAZING! Best tacos I’ve had in Ontario. Thank you again to Julia and the team for making a memorable meal and amazing experience. Will be coming back to Hamilton just for The Mule!

As a celiac, I was almost glutened here. When I asked a server if the beer was gluten free, I was told everything on the menu was. But when my lager arrived, the bottle listed barley. I double checked with another server, who confirmed it wasn’t gluten free, apologized, and kindly brought me a quinoa-based beer instead (which was good, just a little warm). I don’t want to be too harsh. Overall, the food was great, and it’s such a gift to have a spot where I can enjoy a tres leches cake without fear. But this experience is a good reminder to always double check, even in places that seem safe. It also highlights how important it is for all staff to be fully trained on gluten and allergens.

Wow! I was visiting from the states for a concert that got cancelled but I guess that was a blessing in disguise as that gave us a chance to stop here to eat. The owner/server was friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic! I have celiac so I was absolutely drawn here for the GF options. They asked about dietary restrictions up front and I felt comfortable and safe. The food was delicious and my non GF fiancé loved it as well. Dedicated fryers are hard to come by (at least back home) so I took advantage of having one of my old favorites, poutine! It was perfectly layered so each bite was tasty, not like a lot of places that will just dump the gravy and cheese on top leaving you with a plate of dry fries underneath. It was also my first crab cake in years, and it really took me back to the Lexington Market in Baltimore when I was younger (it was actually better). The margarita hit the spot and the homemade hot sauce was super tasty. I will 100% be stopping back next time in I’m Toronto, thank you so much!!!

What a cool restaurant, I loved the decor. I equally love that everything is gluten free as it's difficult to avoid contamination. The sweet potato halloumi taco was mine and my fiance's fav and the Baddy Addy Red Pepper Marg had really good and interesting flavours!

We’ve dined at The Mule many times and it has been our go-to restaurant for eating out, especially since both my daughter and I are celiac and have always appreciated your gluten-free options and care. Unfortunately, our most recent visit to the Cambridge location was disappointing. The service fell very short of what we’ve come to expect. Our server got our drink orders wrong twice, and there was a noticeably long wait for our meals, despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy at all. We’ve always valued The Mule for its reliability and attentiveness, especially given our dietary needs, which makes this experience all the more disappointing We may not be returning.

We absolutely love Beertown — and more importantly, we trust Beertown. My fiancé has celiac disease, and it can be really tough to find restaurants where we feel safe AND enjoy great food with lots of options. Beertown is our #1 choice. They have a full gluten-free menu, always take extra care with his order, and he’s never been glutened here — not once. The atmosphere is always warm, welcoming, and a little trendy. Plus, their patio is fantastic — dog-friendly with beds and water bowls brought to your pup without even asking. Couldn’t recommend this location more!

I came in on April 4th, around 8pm, I was an hour late for my reservation, i was having major anxiety and felt like an ass for being so late. Your staff were unbelievably kind and helpful. The staff here were the absolutely nicest I have ever encountered. I was really struggling that day and everyone helped turn my day around (even though I know I was acting weird). I really needed a night out and I am really thankful to everyone. Also having a seperate gluten free menu is amazing!

Once seated quickly, we were served a small cup of herbal tea as a welcome. Menu had a good variety and accommodated allergies and gluten requires professionally and with no issues. Meals were excellent. The server explained all they were doing to celebrate it's anniversary. A great community restaurant. Support local!!

Perfect place for a first date, a good catch up with friends, and I’ve even had a couple of business meetings at this location. The restaurant is massive. I’ve had wings at the bar, patio drinks, and full parties in the back corner. The fact that there are so many options, including vegetarian and gluten-free is amazing. There’s a discount card to collect points, you can take beers to go home with you. There’s even a root beer for kids to enjoy as well. I can’t say enough good things about beer town. It’s the place that everyone enjoys. Brunch is a must have!!

Came to this restaurant for a team lunch before our game. I ordered a gluten free sandwich, had 2 bites of it, and thought to myself “this is too good to be gluten free bread”. Sure enough, after consulting with the server, they had incorrectly placed my order. Make no mistake, they were quick to get me set up with a new, gluten free sandwich. I was very impressed with the way their entire staff handled the situation and wouldn’t hesitate to come back to this restaurant in the future.

Anthony was an amazing server ! Checking in on us but not interrupting us at the same time ! I am celiac and was able to eat at this restaurant, the staff made me feel heard about my allergy and reassured me with the measures they would take to make my meal safe. Great place to go! Dave's Genuine is comfort food—pure and simple—especially if you grew up eating deli sandwiches, or Kosher favorites like matzoh ball soup. The turkey club is probably my favorite sandwich of all time, and Dave's Genuine makes a killer one. Best of all, it can be made gluten-free—safe for someone who has Celiac disease, like me. In fact, Dave's Genuine makes a real effort to accommodate gluten allergies because the owner's daughter also has Celiac, so he understands the ins and outs of cross contamination. In my most recent order, Dave's even sent me a free batch of fries with a kind note on it, promising they're prepared separately and fried in their own GF fryer. After trying these fries for the first time—crispy and light, by the way—I knew I needed to write this review. The customer service here is truly impeccable, and so is the quality of the food. Pro-tip: Try the smoked meat, it's insanely good.

Upon arriving, the hostess was great. Our server, Taylar, is a gem! Very knowledgeable, polite, and very pleasant. I wasn’t sure what to order and she pointed out some great items from the gluten free menu. I was very pleased to see such a great variety. She was very attentive to our needs and made sure she checked in at appropriate times. We always love going to GT’s. The food, drinks, music, and above all, the staff are great.

This place has a fabulous vibe right from the get go! Decor is rustic & eclectic, & there's much to catch your eye....like trees! The menu has pasta (no gf) & pizza (gf/vegan options), accompanied by lots of drink selections. We ordered 1 gluten free pizza, 1 gluten/dairy free pizza, & one regular pizza. I have a load of allergies & the server - Ceci - was very accommodating & knowledgeable about what the kitchen could do for me. We were super impressed! All the pizzas were amazing (like the best gf pizza in the city imho) & my husband polished off the whole regular pizza himself it was so good! We can't say enough about Ceci (& Mark) as they really took good care of us! We highly recommend Bar Poet, especially for the pizza & beer special!! Can't wait to go again! PS - we were able to get a photo with no one in it bc we came in right at open on a mega snowy Monday!

A gem in Paris, ON. Bit pricey but they have some seasonal fun specials. Seated by the window is the best spot. They have GF gluten free options. Parking is a bit tricky with street angled parking, but across the street behind the buildings is more parking. This is a tall building they have elevator to use and stairs.

We had invited a diverse group of employees with numerous culinary restrictions including vegetarian and Celiac. The staff was well educated on Celiac disease. The menu had numerous options available and they were easily able to accommodate each individual. The food and service were exceptional. Stopped in for dinner after a show and we're lucky to have gotten a seat at the bar. Note to self: reservations might have been a good idea! Food was top-notch. Gluten-free options on the menu. Service was both efficient and friendly. We'd definitely recommend to friends and family!

We ended up stopping here because the bridge was heavily backed up. Everything was fantastic. The food was warm, fresh and very filling. The pretzel was incredible, the service was quick and attentive. Very pleasantly surprised and the gluten free bun was highly praised.
