I’ve heard such amazing things about this place so I was really excited to try it. I ordered my food on Uber eats so that may have made the difference with dine out. The pizza was OK, I didn’t love the cheese and there wasn’t a lot of sauce. However, the bread was great especially gluten-free. The fries were a little bit cold so that might be why they weren’t so good but I wasn’t in love. And the mac & cheese was OK. It was probably the best thing out of all three items that I tried. I just wish it had more cheese. I would definitely try it again, but would try different items or in person this time.
Absolutely beautiful space and such amazing food. I have celiac disease, and it's such a relief to find such divine eats that keep me safe. So much yum!! Thank you Tocoya Organica!

Flavor, Flair & Fantastic Service
Chulita is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is vibrant and welcoming, matched perfectly by the attentive and friendly staff. The service is consistently top-notch – warm, prompt, and genuinely thoughtful, making every visit a pleasure.
The food? Absolutely delicious. What really stands out is their commitment to inclusive dining, with a variety of gluten-free and vegan options that don't compromise on flavor or creativity. Whether you’re a dedicated plant-based eater or just looking to explore, you’ll find something fresh and satisfying here.
And let’s talk about cocktails – the Spicy Pepino nyaaaam is a must-try! It’s crisp, cool, and packs just the right amount of heat. Perfectly balanced and dangerously refreshing, it’s easily a new favorite.
Chulita nails it with style, substance, and a menu that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend for a night out, a casual lunch, or just a killer cocktail with friends.
The Butcher’s Daughter – Stylish, Satisfying, and Full of Flavor
The Butcher’s Daughter on Abbot Kinney delivers on every front—delicious food, warm service, and a beautifully curated atmosphere. The space has a cool, airy vibe that feels equal parts trendy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch.
I ordered the gluten-free vegan waffles with maple syrup and added a side of bacon—the combination was absolutely perfect. The waffles were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. The bacon added that savory contrast I was desiring.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and created a genuinely pleasant dining experience. Whether you’re plant-based, gluten-free, or just looking for a great bite in Venice, The Butcher’s Daughter is a must-visit spot with great vibes and even better food.
We had a very nice server and there’s a great ambiance at Scopa, perfect for dates and connecting with friends alike. They have a gorgeous bar, large window, candles on the tables, and all of our food came perfectly coursed. We were easily able to make a same-day reservation via the Resy app, and I do recommend making a reservation in advance because it was popping when we arrived. For parking, you can either park in the connected valet lot ($13 on a Monday) or look for free street parking (we found it pretty easily, but then again it was a Monday).
There are the top four absolute must-order items you should order to share:
1. Hot Antipasti - Scallops Oreganata ($23) with brown butter, bread crumbs, & lemon. I’m gluten free so I asked for no breadcrumbs, and I also recommend ordering a side of gluten free bread to dip in the brown butter after you finish enjoying the scallops because they have the absolute best gluten free cheesecheese bread! They only came with 2 scallops in an order so consider ordering enough so each person can have at least 1 full scallop.
2. Hot Antipasti - Mortadella Meatballs ($21) with pistachio pesto, arugula, & parmesan cheese. This came with 3 medium-large sized meatballs covered in a delicious green pesto - don’t let looks deceive you, even if this isn’t how you expect meatballs to look they’re delish.
3. Cold Antipasti - Heirloom Tomatoes ($18) with sweet onion, basil, ricotta salata cheese, sherry vinegar, & olive oil. If you enjoy tomatoes of all shapes and sizes, this is the dish for you. My favorite were the little orange tomatoes.
4. Salad - Raw Brussels Sprouts Salad ($22) with generous pecorino romano cheese, parsley, grapes, olive oil, sherry vinegar, & toasted almonds. This was a good portion size and the best raw Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had.
While I did really enjoy the flavor of oysters themselves and their sauces, and I do want to put them as item 5 to order, each of the oysters had some shell bits had to spit out, and it only came with 1 spoon and 0 mini forks. The oysters come with lemon slices, cocktail sauce, shredded horseradish, mignonette, and are $4.50 each with a minimum of 6. I would order them again, but enjoy them carefully and hope that they’re shucked better next time.
However…
Maybe things were off because it was a Monday and they had multiple large last minute parties walk in. Maybe I should have gone for the pastas instead of the below because it is an Italian restaurant. Maybe I’m just a person who enjoys more seasoning on seafood or less sauce on pork chops, but a few of the dishes weren’t exactly as good as I was expecting.
Unless you love canned tuna, absolutely avoid the Sicilian Tuna Cold Antipasti ($19) with market green beans, fingerling potato, capers, lemon, & olive oil. It wasn’t until we mentioned to our server our strong disappointment with the dish, as we were expecting either Tuna Crudo or Seared Tuna, that our server told us that he usually steers guests away from it. It also had zero seasoning, and boy did it need it. It also feels like this dish should have automatically been served with crackers.
The Amberjack Crudo ($25) with watermelon radish, bulls blood micro greens, & herb oil needed a combo-sauce or a stronger flavored oil, as it was very bland as-is. Luckily not a fishy-fish, but still lackluster for their only fish crudo on the menu.
For the Mains, they were already sold out of the 24oz T-bone Steak ($82) when we arrived, and the server recommended the Pork Chop. The generous portion of Pork Chop ($66) came with crispy fingerling potatoes, roasted shallots, olives, capers, garlic, balsamic vinegar, & fresh herbs. The balsamic was more of a thick, sweet, heavy glaze, and it overpowered the meat. Personally, we both felt it was over-sauced.
Cute little place with an extensive gluten-free menu and knowledgeable staff. I appreciate it all the options that I had and that the waiter could answer any questions. Believe me it can be harder than it sounds to have both so I really appreciated the experience. Nate recommended the salmon curry, and it was fantastic.
Yum! Service was outstanding, very clean tables, and delicious fresh and hot food and at a reasonable price for the food (the alcohol was too fancy $$ for me lol) and the Chocolate Gluten Free cake was so delicious borderline decadent 🤭 definitely recommend even if you aren't in a gluten free diet.
Exceptional gluten free celiac safe pizza, in LA !!!
I have celiac disease, so finding safe joints to enjoy a warm pie is always tough. I called here ahead of time to ask if they can cater to someone with celiac, and the manager who picked up the phone (his name is Fred) was so nice!
Absolutely outstanding customer service. I felt right at home. I'll be completely honest though, as good as the pizza was, I've had tastier GF pizza in LA. However, I'll be darned to ever find customer service as amazing as I did tonight, so I'm not even complaining. 5-stars all-around!

Obsessed with this spot. The energy and atmosphere are super cool, a hidden gem for sure. Staff was incredibly kind and our server was the best, knowledgeable about all the items on the menu, and also helped with gluten free dishes.
We tried the red salsa, yellowtail ceviche, scallop dish, Quesadillas and flautas which were all delicious. Drinks were also really tasty. Would love to come back soon! Thank you 😊
We love this place! If you're in Venice & spending time in Abbot Kinney, you should consider eating at Greenleaf! Delicious food, tons of vegan & Gluten free choices, plenty of seating (a really cool patio) & kind staff! Also a relaxed environment & great pricing (a difficult find on Abbot Kinney). Make this your next stop!
Happy Hour specials, yes please! The Pineapple Bar aka Pineapple Hill Saloon is a local LA Valley favorite with neighborhood friendly meets dive bar glam. The inside is very homey and rustic and the outside patio has been an awesome addition with covered section, lamps, lights, plants, tables and chairs (well spaced out) and a few monitors outside for sports games, events and Pineapple Hill channel favs.
They have excellent service, a welcome staff and very good eats, including some vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. There's more parking than you can imagine and quality cocktails, craft beer variety and wine as well.
Stop by for Trivia Tuesdays and other fun events monthly or just for a good time.
Stunning atmosphere, and the food was awesome. They have options for every major diet (typical, vegan, vegetarian, gluten free). The server was attentive and very kind. Highly recommend! Get a reservation!
My dining experience at Della Terra was a 10/10. The owner Michael and his staff took amazing care of our large group and the food was super delicious. I had the penne alla vodka (an off menu item that Michael suggested) with gluten free noodles and it was so creamy and tasty. Would definitely return especially if I’m looking for somewhere that seats large groups!
I love Casaléna for lunch if you’re around Woodland Hills, and it was great going with a group because we were able to share many dishes family-style. It’s very trendy both inside and on the outdoor patio, with a variety of very cool chandelier light fixtures inside and a mostly-covered patio (although bits of sun do shine through). Now that the weather is getting cooler, outdoor dining at Casalena is the way to go. Lucky, even as a group of 8, they were able to accommodate us without a reservation with a minimal wait time. We were also able to easily find street parking nearby.
Seven Must Order Dishes if you’re sharing:
1. We loved the Hamachi Crudo ($23) so much that we ordered two! It came with ponzu, serrano, and topped with crispy leek, and was a good combination of refreshing and a spice-kick with the pepper.
2. From the Lunch Specials Menu, we loved the refreshing summer Cucumber Watermelon Salad ($18) even though it’s fall. It also has lemon, feta cheese, passionfruit vinaigrette, and basil oil, and the passion fruit wasn’t as strong as I was expecting.
3. The Whipped Eggplant ($16) under the To Share section of the menu is vegan and comes with pickled pepper, pan de cristal, & olive oil, and it was so creamy and delicious.
4. The meatballs, also under the To Share section of the menu, were a crowd favorite. The Wagyu Meatballs come with ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, a significant amount of pomodoro sauce, and topped with parsley.
5. For Mains, the Butterflied Half Branzino ($29) is gluten free and comes with chimichurri & grilled lemon. The Branzino was great, especially with the chimichurri sauce, being perfectly crispy on the outside and soft meaty on the inside.
6. Another Main, the Steak Frites ($29) actually went really well with the chimichurri sauce leftover from the branzino! A hanger steak, I recommend it cooked medium or medium rare, and it comes au poivre with a large quantity of French fries. If you’re not ordering the Branzino, make sure to ask for a side of chimichurri to go with your steak.
7. The Shashuka Verde is a good brunch option if you go in the morning. This was my first time having green Shashuka (green-over-red seems to be trending in LA?) and it was good to share alongside other items to avoid having too much acidity at once.
The group collectively agreed that the Limoncello Slice ($14) was the best and the Apple Tart ($14) is the second best dessert. I especially loved the sauce and fresh berries on the limoncello. The Tiramisu ($14) was too cakey and the least enjoyed by the table.
While there was a good presentation on the dessert themselves, no shared plates were brought to the table even though there were 8 of us with 3 desserts.
Beverage: For brunch, next time I’d like to try a coffee. The orange juice had a funny taste to it and I wasn’t able to force myself to finish it - I’d just skip that. It said it was fresh squeezed, maybe one of the oranges was on the older side? Or maybe it was a different type of orange than I’m accustomed to?
The very saucey Tuna Tartar ($23) was not my fav, and wouldn’t fall on my reorder list. It came with avocado, pickled ginger, cucumber, fresno, micro cilantro, ponzu, and togarashi crisp.
Many vegetarian and gluten-free options on the menus, which are all labeled. Food is served family-style and three items were enough for two people. Great bar, too!
The best gluten free pizza I have ever had. The bartender was very knowledgeable and took my gluten allergy seriously which was a reassuring experience.

Thank you Finneys for having a gluten free burger bun and pizza!
For those who are gluten free, I highly recommend the pizza and burger!
They’re satisfying and delicious!
If you’re thirsty, try the Guava Margarita!
A lot of great options for my family with various dietary needs (gluten free, vegan)! We enjoyed the poke bowl restaurant, wanderlust creamery, maneatingplant, and dumpling monster.
We've been to On the Thirty a number of times and have never been disappointed with what we were served, or the service. I'm a big fan of the Fig on Fire pizza which is sweet, filling, topped with greens and a super unique pizza treat. My wife also got the gluten free crust version and dug it. I also treated myself to the Que Rico from the "Frosty Drinks" menu....Mezcal (think smokey tequila) mixed with vanilla liquor, bitters, brown sugar, lime and mint. Yum!
There is plenty for vegetarians to enjoy here too, truffle fries, mac and cheese, fried cauliflower, Brussels (which are vegan and delicious), a couple other pizzas and salads. This is a great, comfortable spot for a delicious meal for any diet and drinks.
This spot is so iconic. Cocktails are divine, including some secret menu drinks. Quail eggs, burrata, oysters always on point, and Gluten free pasta options make my night!
Don’t sleep on dessert. The Eaton Mess is my forever favorite.

I had a little spare time on a work trip and popped into Atrium on the recommendation of a friend. I found the atmosphere delightful, the team was able to accommodate my dietary restrictions (gluten allergy and temporarily vegetarian) without hesitation, and my cocktails just about knocked my socks off. The staff was was friendly, and made sure I was taken care of, the food was tasty, and I found the appearance of the joint to be quite the delight.
Given the hopping neighborhood, I would absolutely recommend this as as a stop on a date night, but it’s also worth the trip on its own. Next time I can’t wait to try a few more cocktails next time I’m in town.
Update: I snuck over again for a meat based dish now they my meat restrictions have lifted and the staff absolutely accommodated my needs. Big thanks to the manager for working with the kitchen team to ensure my half chicken was prepared safely, the kitchen team for going out of their way to accommodate me, and bar team for making some tasty mocktails. Exactly what I needed after a weekend of wedding revelry.

The quality is always top notch and I'm never disappointed. I was part of a group of 10 recently. Jimmy handled our group effortlessly. I was very impressed. The bbq chicken pizza is my fav. Gluten free crust is great!!!!
I'm sharing this as someone eating gluten free, so I can't speak to their other menu items...it's a joy when you learn that a restaurant offers GF meal items. It's especially exciting when it's an Italian restaurant. Sadly, they only offer their GF pasta with two sauces (meaning flour in all the other ones - why?). I went with the bland tomato option. Nothing could enhance it - not salt, pepper, or half a bottle of cheese. But even worse, the bowl was swimming in water and the pasta itself was a mushy glob of a mess. I couldn't eat it. I sent it back and got a small antipasto salad instead (here's where they earn their 2 stars). I'm thankful that they offered GF options. But I'm disappointed that they didn't put any care into offering something delicious or even making sure the pasta was cooked and prepared correctly.
Perfect for celiacs. Variety of food for everyone and great customer service. We tried the one in Hollywood and the one in Downtown. In both, very good.
It was busy so I sat at the bar. The bartender was warm, welcoming and engaging. I had a hot mint tea and the chicken Tawook with salad and hummus. A side of French fries that were fresh hand peeled and cut. Everything was gluten free and I had no reaction. I have Celiac so this is very important. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice!
This place was so delicious. Everything was great but the ribs were my favorite - to die for. And the pulled pork!! So good. Collard greens and beans were delicious too. Beans were my fave side. I love potato salad but it wasn’t my fave.
I didn’t try the Mac sadly (I love to eat it with the collard greens) bc I can’t have gluten right now but my friend said it was good but she’s had better. And the corn bread was delicious - super moist. I cheated for that one.
What’s pictured here is def enough for 3 people to share! Definitely eat here. I can’t wait to go back. And parking was easy on a weeknight! Way better than I expected but it was raining that day.

Super cute indoor/outdoor bar with a huge array of beer/alcohol options and very chill vibe. Wednesday nights they have insanely good wood-fired pizza in the courtyard area - check it out! Gluten free crusts available.
I love this very europian style! Definitely will come back again. We had a great tea time with colleagues , had a non gluten cake with bananas and blueberries. Unusual taste
