I ordered takeout from Hiro and had a really frustrating experience. The app never notified me when my food was ready, and there were no gluten free labels on anything even though I noted my celiac allergy. The host said he was “95-99% sure” the Brussels sprouts were gluten free, which isn’t good enough for a medical condition. I had to go back in for gluten free soy sauce, the staff was cold and unhelpful, and they forgot chopsticks. Worst of all, I started feeling sick shortly after eating, which makes me worry about cross contamination. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with gluten safety or service here.

My mom has a lot of food allergies, (gluten, citrus, nuts, etc) and they did amazing at accommodating her. The owner came and spoke to us to make sure she had food she could eat, and she was even able to eat dessert. It was a fantastic experience.

A modern swanky intimate cider house. The ciders weren't overly sweet and had unique blends. It is a 100% gluten free facility, so we felt comfortable ordering (my husband is Celiac). Delicious food, but a touch expensive; however, we felt it was so worth it. There were also options with goat cheese. Service was a touch slow because there was only one person working front and back of house, but he was super great.

We love Kinaara! The food is always amazing and love the specials they have. We have tried several vegan and meat dishes and everything is delicious. The owners always take the time to come to our table and ask how our food was. I appreciate that their menu is clearly marked with “gluten free” and “vegan”. Terrible restaurant. We ate at a similar place in KC many years ago and loved the big salad bar, so we were excited to try the salad bar here. The website makes it sound like its got lots of gluten free options, but the reality of the experience was much different. Food looked like it had been out forever, nothing tasted fresh, most of it was flavorless or terrible tasting. The salad bar itself was small with minimal selections. We instantly regretted our decision to eat here. Barely anyone else in the restaurant and even while we didn't get the meat, the meat looked overcooked and you hardly saw them bringing anything out. Highly recommend to avoid.

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised! I ordered a house margarita, and unlike so many that use overly sweet mixes, this one was refreshing, balanced, and flavorful. Our waiter made excellent recommendations and was very knowledgeable about gluten-free options, which made ordering easy and enjoyable. The recommendations from the waiter did not disappoint! The restaurant had a welcoming vibe, making it the perfect spot to unwind in the afternoon. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Worst experience ever. Dining room and bathrooms were filthy and it took 38 minutes for 3 medium subs from time of order until they were made. Plus they were out of gluten free bread which was our whole reason for going there.

Ever since moving to Omaha about two years ago, me and my wife have always gone (or door dashed with the pandemic lol) to Blue for sushi. It is, by far, the our favorite place in Omaha (and we tried quite a few since moving here). It's super tasty sushi and they are always super accomidating with my wife's gluten allergen. I know how annoying it is trying to deal with figuring out all gluten insensitive diet stuff, so it's really refreshing to see that kind if knowledge in food service. Will definitely be back many more times!
