The restaurant staff is very friendly, the restaurant is clean, the food is delicious. We will definitely be back again. Especially since they are safe for celiacs. We recommend them!
We came here especially for the gluten free bahn mi and they were so delicious we are definitely coming back again ! So fresh and great gluten free bread
Staff were amazing and accomodating to us π
Love the chicken soup but paying $3.50 for one slice of tiny gluten free bread (not gf by choice) is a little steep. Sometimes Iβve had two slices, sometimes one thick sliceβ¦ sometimes grilled other times not - not consistent
The place looks lovely enough , however value for money, absolutely NOT
$75 each for 4 people , gluten free is an extra $4.00 each and you get 2 high tea tiers with 2 x savoury quiche, 2 very small pork something sliders and then another 2 raw salmon very small square sandwiches
Scones x 2 on each tier, this is apparently unlimited and yet when we asked for more we were told they have to make them as we are gluten free ??????
The extremely small dessertish somethings were also only 3 x styles and two of each ..
Value for money / zero and then we are politely asked to leave .
Donβt bother , there are so many planes that offer this service and your money could be well spent in other places
Awesome find for a lovely, generous, gluten free pizza and cocktail. Love the decor! Not that cheap but took half my pizza home for another meal the next day.
The mushroom pho is to die for!!
The broth is so rich & tasty, not bland like vegan pho often is.
And just look at all those mushies!!
So incredibly tasty, by far the best vegan & gluten free pho Iβve ever had.
Highly recommend!
Good brunch options - gluten free available! Amazing Bloody Maryβs. There was a 20-30min wait for table, as itβs very popular. the staff were lovely. The only draw back is they were understaffed so food took a little too long to come out and wasnβt hot enough by then, but they were aware and apologetic. Canβt be helped. Will definitely come back :)
Been meaning to try for a long time as it is local. We will definitely be back. Yummy food! Clean, good service with a funky vibe. Also lots of Coeliac options. Highly recommend.
Undisputedly my favourite place to eat in all of Melbourne. Great food, great drinks, amazing staff, great vibe, good music, friendly atmosphere. An authentic Chilean expericence; a home away from home. I remember when Neruda's first opened up a few doors down as a small cafe and ever since then I've only seen it grow and become the empire it is today. Not a week goes by where I don't go here at least a few times to have one of their perfect coffees or eat one of the tasty meals. For breakfast I'd recommend the Weon Sano. For brunch I would recommend either the empanadas or the green salad with mushrooms and papas fritas on the side with their delicious house made chilli sauce. And for lunch or dinner I would definitely recommend the Guiso. Let alone all the meat dishes looking good enough to eat even as a Vegetarian. All the desserts are amazing as well. The staff have always been so kind, welcoming and friendly with hearts of gold. They're also always really helpful as I'm vegetarian and gluten free and they have always been able to point me in the right direction of some amazing tasty food. This place has a very welcoming, family friendly vibe and I often take friends from out of town here, or who don't know the area, and all I hear are great things from them too. As a Brunswick boy born and bred I've seen Brunswick go through many changes but this place keeps it real like an old school Brunswick business with a down to earth, friendly, family vibe as well as a multi cultural demographic of people all enjoying it together. There is always good music being played from all different types of genres of South American music, not only on the stereo but also live which just adds to the great atmosphere of Neruda's. I would also recommend coming in for the Chilean Independence Day celebrations as it is always a fun party with live music and dancing. It is also great for a chill quiet morning drinking coffee, chatting with the community and playing card and board games. All together, I feel at home here and would recommend you come down and enjoy it too. Much love. Viva Neruda's! I love you all.
Serves what feels like authentic homestyle Sri Lankan food. Mostly gluten free. I tend to prefer their vegetarian options - things like cashew curries, okra curries, and the delicious eggplant moju.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zambrero's, and my experience was elevated significantly thanks to a remarkable employee named Jack. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and the enticing aroma of fresh ingredients, but it was Jack's exceptional service that truly stood out.
Jack greeted me with a warm smile and a friendly demeanour, instantly making me feel welcome. His enthusiasm for the menu was contagious, and he took the time to walk me through the various options, highlighting the unique flavours and combinations available. As someone who can be indecisive when faced with a plethora of delicious choices, I greatly appreciated his patience and expertise.
What particularly impressed me was Jack's knowledge about dietary preferences and restrictions. He was attentive to my needs and offered insightful suggestions for gluten-free and vegetarian options without missing a beat. His genuine interest in ensuring I had a great dining experience was evident, and he went above and beyond to customise my order to perfection.
When it came time to prepare my meal, Jack's attention to detail and skill were on full display. He crafted a burrito bowl for me with precision, ensuring each ingredient was fresh and proportionate. The result was a delicious, satisfying meal that exceeded my expectations.
Beyond the food, Jack's positive attitude and excellent customer service made my visit memorable. He checked in with me after I started eating to ensure everything was to my liking and even offered a few extra tips on how to enhance the flavors with their various sauces and sides. It's rare to encounter someone who is not only proficient at their job but also genuinely passionate about creating a wonderful experience for their customers.
In addition to Jack's stellar service, the overall ambiance of Zambrero's was inviting and clean. The modern decor and comfortable seating provided a pleasant environment to enjoy my meal. The restaurant was well-maintained, and the staff seemed to work seamlessly together, contributing to a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
In conclusion, my visit to Zambrero's was outstanding, thanks in large part to Jack. His exceptional service, combined with the delicious food and welcoming atmosphere, makes Zambrero's a standout choice for anyone looking for a great dining experience. I highly recommend stopping by and, if you're lucky, you'll get to experience Jack's top-notch hospitality firsthand.
Great tasting pizzas and one of the few places around I can get Gluten free, no onions or garlic etc. food from. I have so many allergies it's hard to eat anywhere, but never been sick due to food from Crust Brunswick.
Very fun place to go for Dutchies and non-Dutchies. Great food, good service. They sell some Dutch pantry staples as well (drop, hagelslag, kruidkoekβ¦). There are gluten free options available. Iβve shared the Bitterballen and Kapsalon. Also enjoyed the Frikandel Speciaal and Patatje Oorlog.
They have a very good range of Belgian and Dutch beers. Last time I visited they had Delirium on tap. Non-alcoholic options available too.
I highly recommend this cafe the service is above and beyond especially catering for people who suffer coeliac disease
Food is delicious and the atmosphere is just right
One of my fav breakfast spots in Melbourne. I would cross the city in peak hour traffic for their gluten free, vegan avocado toast. Chai latte is always good too. Staff are lovely, ambiance is really cool.
Have never tried anything else and I couldnβt be happier. Will be back soon!!
Great family friendly atmosphere with plenty of comfortable seating options whether you want to sit in, out, or in between. Nice selection of local beers and spirits, theyβre all a step up from the typical ones you see, which was great. Some lovely different ones on offer too. Food menu represents Brunswick really well - Aussie takeaway goes overseas with pizza, dim sims, potato cakes and shawarma! Lots of vegan and gluten free options. Itβs roomy, but still cozy, festive and clean. Well worth a visit.
I recently discovered this hidden gem, and it instantly became my favorite restaurant ever. Iβll definitely be coming backβand bringing my friends and family along!
What truly sets this place apart is that they offer two separate full menusβone vegan and one non-veganβwhich is something Iβve never seen before. As a vegan, I was thrilled to find such a wide variety of gluten-free mock meat options. My menu was full of delicious Indian and Asian dishes, and I couldnβt believe everything was both vegan and gluten-free.
The experience went beyond just foodβthe owner was absolutely lovely. He played music with genuinely good taste, taught us a new board game, and even showed us a magic trick, which made the night unforgettable.
I canβt wait to return and explore more of their amazing offerings. This place has a unique soul, and Iβm so glad I found it!
So happy to have found this vegan place. I had a lovely coffee and a take away gluten free savoury tart as well as a mushroom toastie. Delicious food and gorgeous atmosphere. Finally the music was great. Highly recommend.
Found this place almost by accident, but really enjoyed the warmth and casual vibe, fast service on a busy, rainy winter night and simple menu. Waitress was quick to help with suggestions re veg, vegan and gluten free options. Mohito was tasty but alcohol content a bit lower than usual. Seated me despite obviously being pretty busy. Enjoyed the cactus and Mushroom tacos and guacamole. All very fresh and corn chips were particularly crisp and original. Managed to park in the United op shop parking lot next door, after hours.
It's always the first place I go when arriving in Melbourne to get my fix. Fresh and delicious, CHEAP, something for everyone even GLUTEN FREE choices which is unheard of at most bakeries as well as many vegan options. Busy busy but don't let that put you off, order is ready in no time. Make sure you try cheese pie and spinach triangle, argh missing them already ππ½ππ½ππ½
Enjoyed the delicious gluten free Istra thick cut bacon for brunch. As a Coeliac, I have had great communication with the cafe and know that gf toast can be cooked separately, and fries are cooked in a deep fryer that doesn't have any gluten containing items cooked in it. Very reassuring for a person with Coeliac Disease. I enjoyed the coffee too.
