This is my all time favorite restaurant. In the last year I’ve found out that I can’t eat gluten but even before that I always thought their food was amazing. However, since I’ve become gluten free I’ve loved it even more. They have complimentary gluten free bread for the table that’s DELICIOUS (I even had my friend who isn’t gluten free say he loved it.) That paired with the peppered oil they put out with the bread, well I could eat that all day every day. Not to mention their gluten free pasta is amazing and I can’t even tell the difference. On top of all of that, every time I’ve dined here I’ve been welcomed with the best service. All the staff are always so kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere is unmatched. Finally, the pricing isn’t bad at all, especially considering inflation and the fact they make their food in house! I would highly, highly recommend dining here and it is absolutely my go to for any special occasion, or even if you’re just craving Italian!
Just to make it clear for people looking they cook the "gluten free" items in the same fryer as the items that contain gluten. If you can handle all that then you're solid but if not I would not say to order from here. The people were nice and I'm not complaining, just have to make the clear. For people like me, that is sure to make me sick so unfortunately I cannot eat your food but my kids loved it since they don't have my celiacs.
If I could give 10 stars I would give it!! Amazing service and excellent food as always! Lots of vegan and gluten free options! Great drinks selection! One of our favorite restaurants in the SoPo area! We can't wait to go back!
Ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza for takeout, (on Mondays the GF pizza is only 8 dollars). Honestly one of the best gluten free pizzas I've ever had. Super soft crust, great cheese and sauce. Highly recommend.
You have to place your order on a tablet as no one man’s the registers. Food allergies are listed, but it doesn’t list what on the menu items contains the allergens so it makes ordering a little difficult if you have dietary restrictions. There were two cooks there but they were not approachable and didn’t greet any customers. You are not required to give your name for your order and your order isn’t given a number, so they just call the names of the food out. They called an item that I had ordered, so I went to grab it and the cook just looked past me and said it was for someone else. The only reason I gave five stars we because they had delicious vegan and gluten free options that my wife can eat.
We had a fantastic dining experience! Each of our three different dishes was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. They answered all our questions about gluten-free options and even offered to customize meals to accommodate our needs. Their service was thoughtful and attentive, making us feel comfortable and cared for. The food and service exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and excellent customer care.
We ate take out from your restaurant 3-17-25 we order 3 large Zuppa Toscana soups that were pure water no stock in the soup whatsoever, not even a whole potato slice between the 3 soups no kale or sausage just flavored water big disappointment also we ordered a gluten-free chicken Alfredo with very rubbery pasta and tough fatty chicken. Still cost me $80 bucks though. Very disappointing
Verbena is simply the best. The food is fresh & always yummy, the staff is exceptional, and the atmosphere is quaint and cozy! They offer plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options as well. I always look forward to grabbing lunch at Verbena!
Phenominal choice for gluten intolerant folks! The burger came in a lettuce wrap and was honestly better than with the bun! I ate there prior to knowing I was gluten intolerant.
We had a good family dinner here. Yes, they were able to accommodate our gluten free needs! Everything was very good, I just wish there had been a better place to hang my purse.
I placed an order for 3 pizzas at 7pm on a Monday night. Over an hour later, I received a call, they’re outside. I go and generously tip the driver because she’s always so good. I’m given 4 pizzas, told there was a mess up and we got a free one. I get inside, none of them are gluten free, and one of them is burnt to an absolute crisp, and the other one is not even anything we ordered. I try to call, no answer. I called multiple times, and they started to pick up the phone and hang up on me. I have celiac disease and can’t eat gluten. They closed a half hour later, as did everything else while I was waiting for them to show. Honestly never felt like disputing a purchase on my debit card before now. I order from this place every two weeks and I always spent almost 100 dollars. I will not only never be going back but I will also be telling everyone who will listen. Unreal. I am a single mother with Christmas coming up and yall just took 80 dollars from me and I didn’t even get to eat. And then to repeatedly hang up on me is. Absolutely chefs kiss. Thanks friends!
Brought grands and daughter there. One has gluten allergies and dairy. They were great in letting us know about soy being in the tips that he had ordered. Very courteous wait staff. Food was cooked perfectly.
They have minimal gluten free options, but l'd recommend that if you have any allergies to avoid this place altogether as Management only understands that you are a liability to feed and will not accommodate any dietary restrictions no matter how small and you will be asked to leave. Ive been here in the past without a problem, but apparently they have new management. I had one small request and they were unwilling to handle it in a professional manner. I have never been treated with such poor customer service in my life. I've lived here my entire life and am downright disgusted with how I was treated. I would hate to have anyone else go through what I did. Avoid if you have any food allergies at all as they are not able to handle it here. I've also reiterated this message to all the Facebook allergy groups that I'm a part of. Everyone should be able to eat out with their family. You claimed that I was an inconvenience and liability to you and your business, but this is a disability not a choice. If you are so concerned with liability then maybe you can better prepare yourself with a waiver form for people with allergies to sign before you heat up food in a microwave and maybe for the future you should have more safe food handling practices so that this is not a liability or concern for you. I know that nothing in life is guaranteed, but you didn't even try and help. A little human decency goes a long way. How are you going to deal with this when the next person that walks in has allergies? Are you going to tell them I think it's best if you leave? I'm not the only person with food allergies out there with a minute request.
Such a cute coffee shop! It has a bunch of local goods, from knitted items, to candles, to cocktail mixes in a jar. I had drip coffee with sugar free salted caramel syrup and a tad of maple syrup (being from Texas I've never heard of this!). They even have almond milk on the side along with the other cream and sugars on the side for no extra charge. My friend had a gluten free breakfast sandwich, so those options are there for people who need it. It was also busy, so we figured that was a good sign walking in.
I am, Rachel Dunn, the GM at Day’s Crabmeat and Lobster.
I found this amazing establishment and went to try their Whoopie pies. I can’t rave enough on the outstanding taste, consistency, texture. Every bite comes together with amazing taste. The portions are perfect, the taste is magic, the variety unbelievably.
I loved them so much that they are, now, our new vender for Day’s Crabmeat and Lobster.
We are selling the Lemon blueberry (OURSTANDING!)
Maniac (your perfect traditional whoopie pie) comes in gluten free also!!!
And chocolate peanut butter.
Stop down try us out for our lobster/seafood and cape Whoopiies!
They are must go to place. You’ve never had whooped like this!
Service is very quick and very friendly. We know we can rely on this place when we need to grab some quick takeout before getting on the train. Always delicious, and we are never disappointed. Lots of vegetarian options, and gluten-free options are clearly labeled. My husband likes the spicy tuna bowl. I'm a fan of building my own bowl, but their pre-built options are always tempting.
In a land of rubbery gluten free bagels, Mister Bagel knows how to fluff it up! I had the cinnamon raisin and super, both GF, and they were amazing!! The bagels were fluffy and the cream cheese was tasty.

Sopo Seafood is hands down our favorite neighborhood spot. We have been frequenting this beautiful establishment since they opened. No reason to go over the bridge for oysters anymore! The owners & everyone who works there are so friendly. The chowders are all gluten free as is the homemade sauce they put on the rice bowls!!!! Brings a tear to my eye! I love when they have the lobster dip on special and am hoping they bring back the crème fraiche, caviar & chives w chips (hint hint). It is one of the best snacks to go alongside a crisp, cold glass of bubbly. Not only is the oyster bar amazing, but the fact that is it also a seafood market makes it that much better. Pro tip: Try the Manhattan & the smoked trout roll or on crackers. So. Good.
We ordered Ben Reuben’s knishes for our wedding cocktail hour, and they were a huge hit! While we have tried many different flavors, we chose the classic Ben Reuben (pastrami) and Everything (potato and cheese) flavors, and they were simply delightful. We also got pigs in a blanket. Each were a standout favorite.
Ben Reuben’s also went above and beyond by accommodating our gluten-free family members and friends, so everyone could join in on the feast. To our delight, many guests who had never tried knishes before were pleasantly surprised and absolutely loved them. It was a fantastic addition to our celebration—highly recommended for any special occasion!
The barbecue is excellent and the portions are quite large. For lunch 3 of us split the 3 meat platter and it was quite filling. We did add a bowl of chili and an extra side but the combination of everything made for quite a filling meal for everyone.
For desert the gluten free brownies were really wonderful I would highly recommend if you are gluten free to give them a try and even if you're not then they have a richness and moistness that you don't often find in gluten free foods.
We were there for lunch on a Sunday and it wasn't overly crowded but our waitress indicated that it other times we might have a wait. Parking is available behind the location but it is quite muddy said don't bring your best shoes.
We are so excited to have Mr. Chickpea in the area!!! They have wonderful options! While waiting for my food I heard the owner explain that half the menu is gluten free :) and great veggie options too with an array of homemade hummus! ❤️
