It’s a cool little place with many options including Gluten Free and Vegan.
Hours are somewhat limited but it’s worth catching them open!! I would recommend the place to others!
**A Hidden Gem for Thai Food Lovers—Especially If You're Gluten Free!**
I can't believe I haven't reviewed my family's favorite Thai restaurant yet! We absolutely love Thai cuisine, and over the years, we've had it all across the U.S.—which taught us that not all Thai is created equal, especially when you're gluten free.
This place stands out for its incredible menu full of rich, authentic flavors *without* the gluten. Most dishes are naturally gluten free or can easily be made that way. But here’s the thing—even if you don’t need to eat gluten free, you’ll still be blown away. That’s because the food here is made with real, fresh ingredients by people who clearly know what they’re doing. Nothing from a can or freezer—just thoughtfully prepared, delicious dishes.
Every meal here feels like a warm hug. The presentation is beautiful, the flavors are on point, and the portions are satisfying. On top of all that, the staff are kind, attentive, and clearly care about giving you a great experience.
Whether you're a Thai food connoisseur or just looking for a consistently amazing meal, this spot is a must-visit!
Love all the dietary selections - something for everyone! Gluten free available, dairy free available! Vegetarian!
The salsa is so delicious!!
The cocktails are fantastic too!
Ben was our server he provided amazing service and ensured my gluten allergy was handled so I could safely enjoy my sushi. Everything was delicious and fresh.
The sushi was really good and the variety of sauces and fish were phenomenal especially cause you can watch them make it but my
favorite was the hibachi chicken or beef with fried rice which was so buttery and flaky it was the best fried rice I have ever had I probably not even hyping it up enough if you go here which you definitely should you have to try the fried rice. They also have a great Gluten Free menu.
Strange Matter is a must-visit for anyone on Michigan State's campus. This women/queer owned coffee shop offers a delightful selection of beverages and treats, with a special focus on vegan and gluten-free options.
The staff, especially Eli and Tristan, are always friendly and helpful. Eli is fantastic to work with for campus events, and Tristan's cheerful demeanor makes every visit a pleasure.
If you're visiting campus, be sure to stop by the Union and check out Strange Matter!

Not only was the pizza delicious but the staff were amazing at alleviating my insecurities about eating gluten free at a pizza place. This was the best gluten-free pizza I've had outside of Italy. 😁
Five Guys in general: great gluten free options with a burger in a lettuce wrap or bowl. Fries are GF and delicious, even better Cajun style
This location: no milkshakes here. Can have slow service when college students aren’t in town. Love it still (and all the extra bag fries)

Very good gluten free food. The cooking staff is very knowledgeable and kind. There is always a desert, and there is often chicken tenders. For $7.50 it’s hard to beat the price with for gluten free food (especially when it’s all-you-can-eat).
Great service: A large group of us went after a women’s gymnastic meet on a Friday night & the manager knew how to handle a group of over 70 people who just showed up at 7:45 pm. Manager opened up a back room & diverted a few servers to our group. Great food: pizza was very good. Several with dairy & gluten allergies found good alternative options - chicken caesar salad, another type of salad with chicken, & burgers. All good. only a few left over slices to take home!
Great flavors here, also easy to eat vegetarian or gluten free. Always friendly staff, only complaints are ocassionally slow service and smaller portions of rice. Overall, one of our favorite places to eat in the Lansing area.

Looking for a quick salad or some hot bites without sacrificing quality? This spot, tucked inside of Whole Foods, is a hidden gem for a fast and simple lunch or dinner. The outdoor patio seating is perfect—especially on a beautiful June day. One of the best conveniences? You can bring several people with you and everyone can find something to eat—from sushi to hot pizza to dessert—so it satisfies all kinds of taste buds.
And for those of us with food issues or picky eaters (I need to be gluten-free), this place makes it easy. All of the food is clearly labeled with the ingredients used, so you can confidently pick what works for you. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but you’re paying for fresh, high-quality ingredients and the ease of a stress-free meal. Definitely worth it for a tasty, no-fuss experience!
The service was phenomenal! She helped us explain the deals and what’s best for my partner which is gluten free with mushrooms. They had a couple of young gentleman play live jazz music for anyone sitting outside or walking by, they were super talented and skilled in their craft. Mesmerizing live music! The atmosphere jumped to a 5 star with that! We got lucky since the timing of us there and them coming was impeccable. Thank you for the delicious pizza which today it was half off price slice! Wonderful price point, atmosphere and food
A very millennial friendly restaurant. They cater to a variety of needs, such as; gluten free, more of this, less of that, dine in, take out, catering and delivery. Download the app and earn rewards points. Rewards points = Free Food.
The ice cream store used to focus more on fruit and nut flavors. There wasn't much I could eat due to being gluten free. Many of those ingredients could be added later to enhance it. It's better to keep flavors simple. Shocked by no cash accepted.
The gluten free menu IS NOT GLUTEN FREE. I had a SEVERE allergic reaction tonight even though I ordered from the list of "gluten free" options. 1/16/25.
This is my #1 Middle Eastern restaurant. I visit every time I'm in Lansing! Been eating where since I was a little kid. So good I get food to eat and food to go - I especially love the lentil and rice soup, which I swear gets better as it sits in the fridge. Other highlights: baba ganouj, the vegan rice pudding, hashwi.
Always a plus that all vegan and gluten free options are clearly labeled. And they were very helpful with my husband's dairy and nut allergies. I just wish the falafel was GF, I miss it so much.
There were two people running the place, both very friendly.
There was a couple of people ahead of us that ordered and sat down. We took a minute to look over the menu since it was our first time there. I noticed the person taking our order was wearing dirty gloves using a handheld device to ring it up. Then, without changing gloves, grabbed a handful of noodles.
I asked for a glove change and they apologized and dumped the noodles back into the container.
This is a huge cross contamination issue, especially if you're advertising gluten free options like they are. Not to mention completely unsanitary.
I noticed the other server was picking up pens and stuff without changing gloves as well.
There were spoons in some things, like corn, but meat was all picked up with gloved hands.
The kids grilled cheese should have used a different type of cheese or more than one slice, as the cheese was hard and not melty.
The tomato soup for dipping was very plain, like it was made with water.
The mac and cheese was okay, and the tater tots weren't bad. But overall not a place we'd go back to due to the upfront sanitation issues, unfortunately.
We have visited the hop cat in both Lansing and Detroit now and I love going to both! This one is very fun - the beer stickers everywhere and the famous headshots add to the atmosphere and every staff member we've met is funny and kind. Their food is delicious and they have plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options as well. It's a must-go when we're in Lansing. Family friendly and very welcoming to all!
They have gluten-free options available at a pub which was a pleasant surprise, we went to visit on vacation from the desert and didn't have our warm clothes and the staff offered me and my girlfriend both sweaters and gloves for free. They went above and beyond. 😊
They had gluten-free sushi and seemed very knowledgeable about what I could have as someone with celiac, the prices were great and the sushi was very good. Also Nolan was a great host.
Finally visited the other day and was not disappointed! The food (and prices) were awesome. I was surprised and excited to find they have gluten free wraps as well as salads, so there are many Celiac options. Service was very fast as well-perfect for a quick lunch break stop. Can't wait to try more of the menu!

It's such a cute spot! I've seen it for years, but I never realized they had gluten-free options or more than pastries. I got the El Rito without the wrap, and it was amazing! Everything else was closed, and this was the only place I could find that was open.
Plenty of seating, some cozy. I'll be back!
dude the food was so good i forgot i was in east Lansing for a second, holy moly. Rich flavor, kind staff, super quick turnaround for visually profound plating, and a staff that knows their allergies (as a patron with Celiac disease)

Great Gluten Free selections! Huge store...
Went yesterday and needed help out to my car due to buying too much! (a big box to keep my Italian soda necessitated a second cart.) The cashier just grabbed an employee to help me and it happened to be an employee who had already found the Chicken Shawarma bos! He not only took the second cart out but he insisted in putting my bads and boxes in the my SUV for me!
Juan from Spain is a terrific employee. I hope you get a chance to meet this amazing man!
5 stars isn’t enough for this Biggby location! My husband comes here every morning for breakfast/a drink and has the best experience. Everyone that works here is so sweet, works quickly, and is attentive to detail. The food (my husband loves the bragels) is good/filling and there is something unique about their drinks, they just taste more handcrafted than other coffee shops. I’m gluten free, so I typically don’t get to enjoy food from coffee shops as they’re most often pastries/bread products, but Biggby carries a packaged gluten free brownie that is great, especially with a peppermint mocha around the holidays!
This Biggby location is conveniently located right off MSU campus and is a valued part of the community!
