We had an excellent dining experience at Tamarind Tribeca. The food was tasty, fresh, and exceeded my expectations. The waiters were knowledgeable and made great suggestions, especially for gluten-free dishes. The drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night. Overall, 10/10.
This restaurant is dangerous for people with gluten allergies. The waitress was not knowledgeable about gluten on the menu. She was very rude and short as soon as my party told her that one of us has an allergy. She said the person could have a salad but nothing else, and they don’t have gluten free bread. Even if that wasn’t true, after that initial encounter we decided to leave.
I was in NYC for a girls trip. We went to Serafina Tribeca. I am allergic to gluten and told the waitress. I ordered the Bolognese with gluten free pasta. I was told I had two options Spaghetti and Penne. The drinks were fabulous, the food came out my friends received the wrong pasta dishes. Our server noticed and took them back to be corrected. I was left with the Penne dish. You really have to go by trust when it comes to eating out with a gluten allergy, so I ate my dish. Before I could even leave the restaurant I was in so much pain, our server asked me if I was ok, and if she could get me a tea. I have never been in that much pain as I have not had a plate of gluten in 8 years. I did not complain while we were there, I just wanted to lay down. I have emailed the restaurant, but have not heard back. The food tasted amazing, but it is not worth going there if the likelihood for gluten poisoning happens on your trip, and our meal cost over $300. for the three of us.
This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time in NYC. The food was excellent, and the service and hospitality was truly exceptional. They also accommodated one of our party's gluten allergy extremely well. Most of the dishes could be served with minimal adjustments.
We had the most amazing experience! James was our sommelier and Ceasar covered our table. It was worth every penny. I'm also gluten free, and they made the tasting menu completely accessible to me including pasta and tort shells. The tastings had a huge depth of flavor and were just really phenomenal. All around, great time.
Hi there. On my mission to retrieve a sweet treat with my dearest friends, I embarked to my local insomnia location. There I was greeted with an unhappy “manager” whom couldn’t fulfill a customers request and order. I attempted to order an M&M cookie with two scoops of the finest creamiest chocolate ice cream I have been looking forward to all day. When prompted with my order, the manager stated “are you sue you want that flavor, it’s hard for me to scoop, and you’re already looking a little full”. This comment honestly had me flabbergasted, and got rid of any appetite I had for a gluten filled cookie. I then stated I would just like 4 heated cookies, and to that was given a eye roll. I’m not sure if this experience will have me returning. I’m still in awe.
Outstanding Food, very pleasant Servers, excellent Bartender. Attended an afternoon Bridal Shower here and it was perfect. I noted a couple of guests needed Gluten Free Pasta and were accommodated easily.
Excellent gluten-free Margherita pizza (on an aluminum pan), very careful about contamination, the very good pizza chef used a separate oven, gloves and new cutlery to cut the pizza...my daughter instead ate a normal Pizza Margherita, cooked in a wood oven, he said it was the best pizza he had ever eaten..... thanks for your availability and courtesy!
Cozy go-to spot in Tribeca. Good food and good prices. For those with gluten allergies, they are very accommodating and knowledgeable. They have gluten free pizza however it is not celiac safe. They were willing to boil GF pasta in separate water though! I got the skirt steak and subbed potatoes for fries (fries are in a shared fryer with gluten containing items).
I had a great dinner here with my partner tonight! It was his first time having Moroccan food! One of my best friends is Moroccan and I’ve been to Morocco a couple times now and I love the food so I was having a major craving and wanted to see what I could get here in NY!
I have allergies to nuts and gluten so it was great and easy that they label right on the menu what the allergens are in each dish! I loved everything I ordered! I got lychee martini, fava bean salad, and Tangia Lamb. Everything I had was delicious! My partner had some things with gluten so I didn’t try but he also really enjoyed. I also appreciated the food was flavorful and not too salty like some restaurants, everything was really fresh! Cute place, will be back!
Great spot to grab a bite after work. Good happy hour offerings and also a good selection of options for gluten free and vegetarian bites.
Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that my tacos were a bit bland and uninspired, but everything else was good. They even have a few nice mocktails on the drink menu if you're there with someone who isn't drinking.
Amazing place! Everything was incredibly tasty! I'm glad they offer delicious, gluten-free warm bread and a very good non-alcoholic red wine. I highly recommend the Mascarpone dessert!
Such good food. Everyone couldn’t stop raving about their meal.
As a Gluten free person I appreciated they had GF spaghetti & penne pasta and GF pizza crust.
I got the Bianca w/ GF crust and it was incredible.
We also recommend the bruschetta and eggplant appetizers 😍
Service is a little on the slower side so if you’re in a rush maybe not the spot for you.
Service was excellent. Food was really tasty. Branzino was tender, moist and flavorful. Brownie desert with tahini halva was a nice surprise. And tons of gluten free options, including desert.
My fiancé and I had a really good experience here. We were looking for a snack to share that was gluten free and he found Juice Press. We ordered a pitaya bowl with frozen blueberries, coconut and goji berries. It was really really good. The person who made our bowl was super friendly and enhanced our experience. I’m really glad he found this place and we stopped by!
i’ve passed by maybe a million times but walking by today — billy’s called my name. popped into see if they had any gluten free options, and behold .. yes they did!
tried the chocolate cake vanilla buttercream option (they also had chocolate/chocolate) and it was a 4.5/5 — cake was a little dry but more rich than sweet, which i like. icing was sugary and yummy.
space was warming but they could make it a little “stay a little longer” friendly!
recommend for gf cupcake fix — and would love to see the flavor of month extend to gf in future!
