I've been suggested this place a few times because I'm always looking for gluten-free options for a friend of mine. We decided to stop by and I'm very glad we did. Not only was the food delicious but they had a lot of clearly marked options for gluten-free dishes. On top of that everybody was friendly and really accommodating. Thanks to the staff for a great experience.

I go here for the gluten-free options. Being celiac makes it hard to eat out. I went with my wife after a long day and did not want to go home and cook. I got a reuben with fries. My wife got the steak sandwich with au jus. After the meal was delivered, another waitress ran over and gave my wife a different au jus. That made me extremely happy to know they were paying attention but upset as my waiter was not. At least it was caught in time. To be clear, my waiter was not bad he was very friendly, quick, and polite. He took care of everything in a very professional way and made jokes , laughed with us, and made sure we were OK. This is a great place to go if you're looking for good food , are celiac, or maybe just want to sit at the bar and have a drink. (Bar and restaurant do have separate areas). I would definitely recommend giving them a try for some good food and atmosphere.

The Tramontane is a coffeehouse/Cafe with a whimsically eclectic decor. The food is delicious with a wide selection of beverages including coffee, tea, Italian soda, and zero proof options. They even have a smoothie menu. The food, while familiar, has some inventive and sometimes international twists. They offer vegan and gluten free options. Their menu consists of light breakfast, soup, salad, and sandwiches with a healthy bend. There are baked goods, house made with care by Robin and her staff/family. Tram is handicap accessible at the main entrance and restroom. There is a surprise back entrance with a decorated hallway that leads to the main room. Robin and her staff are very accommodating to any needs or requests. We will ALWAYS make this a priority stop when in town.

If you are in Utica you must dine here. If you are not in Utica, go there just to dine here. Talk about feeling like you are home! This family makes you so welcome, and the food is outrageously delicious. Be sure to try the Turkish coffee that they offer. I said no, initially then thankfully changed my mind! We were a party of five and every one of us loved our respective dishes. My brother has Celiac disease and they were wonderful with him. He did mourn over not being able to have the lush pita! The lamb was tender. The salads were crisp. The hungry sailor boys with us were stuffed when we left. Seriously. One of the best places to eat in the greater Utica area.

I was blown away by how absolutely delicious this food was! I have celiacs disease (so no wheat for me) but I was able to order quite a few dishes for my first time trying Yemeni food. I ordered the baba ghanoush, shakshouka, lamb broth, rice, and a smoothie. Everything I ordered exceeded my expectations! I called ahead of ordering to ask about gluten free options and while they weren’t too aware of what that entails, they were very kind and helpful in simply checking what dishes have wheat in them instead. Same results I needed, just a different method! Basically, the vast majority of their menu is inherently gluten free, and their spices are also safe for celiacs. My partner ordered the tandori rashoosh flatbread with his other items and that was safely packaged separately from the rest of the gluten free items. The food is exceptionally fresh, packed with flavor, and generously portioned. Regardless of if you’re gluten free or a gluten lover, definitely give Marib a try, you won’t regret it!
